Our lovely, 6 year young, sun-drenched home is available for rent. It is very cheerful with yellow walls and preppy blue and white striped couches and Bamboo floors on the top level. There is a reverse floor plan to capture the ocean views. Watch the sparkling Blue Sea as you dine on the covered porch or relax in front of the fireplace and watch the 36 inch TV with MediaCom cable. Internet Access and board games (Scrabble, Monopoly, Backgammon,ect.) and videos
There is a Weber Gas Grill and two decks with Brown Jordan furniture and dining tables or lie on the Chaise lounge and read!
You can bike to town. Three adult bikes are provided. This house has a den on the first floor and four bedrooms and two baths. It is large enough for two families to share and set up with two bedrooms with queen beds and 3 bedrooms with Twin beds. The Master bath has a seated shower and double sinks in all bathrooms. There is also an AERO Bed so 11 can sleep comfortably. The beds and furniture were purchased in late 2007 when we bought the home from the builder. This house backs to parkland and is in a new 23 lot community called The Sanctuary in EXCLUSIVE North Bethany. There are 8 miles of state beach parkland 5 minutes drive away. The beach is accessed at 5th Street in town or the Indian River Inlet both a short distance from our home. There is no sales tax and lots of outlet shopping, fishing opportunities, crabbing, and sailing for those that are not beachcombers.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Undesignated
We live in Washington, D.C. and love to head to the ocean whenever possible. The beach was rebuilt in 2008 and there are miles of state beaches within a five minute drive of our home.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our house is located in the Sanctuary, a new community situated on Delaware State Fresh Pond land. This provides a natural setting for migratory birds and sightings of heron and bald eagles, along with our resident deer, bunnies and frogs, are frequent. At the end of our community there is access to a walking trail which leads to the Indian River Bay.
Being so close to town, we love going to concerts at the bandstand on the Bethany Boardwalk and going to see the Shorebirds baseball games at the Frank Perdue Memorial Stadium. Bethany is a wonderful place especially now that the Army Corp of Engineers have rebuilt the beach. Also fun to take a picnic to Assateague Island for the day to see the ponies!

My family and I loved the house. It had plenty of space and was very relaxing and kid friendly. We took the 15 minute drive to Rehoboth Beach which was beautiful too. I will definately come back.

We had a great time! Whole house is roomy and comfortable. TV's downstairs only take VHS and upstairs TV has DVD player. We took our Karaoke machine and had a blast! Beach is close by and the boardwalk is close by! Near the boardwalk there is also a nice big playground for kids! Can't wait to go again next year! Owners were great to work with too!

This was the perfect beach house. Plenty of room and very well-equipped. The master is upstairs next to the kitchen and living room and the rest of the bedrooms were downstairs. There was plenty of room for my family. The house was extremely relaxing and the sun coming in every morning was fabulous. Bethany beach was only a 2-minute drive away. Definitely a house to consider when staying at Bethany.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

Beautiful home, spacious, well-appointed. Easily sleeps 10+ people. The kitchen, great-room and master bedroom are all on the top level, so one should be in decent physical shape to go up and down the stairs (2 flights from the garage level).

First of all dealing with John and Alex was a pleasure. For the last couple years our family has gathered in Bethany for Christmas, Easter, once in the summer and then fall. I was ready to give up the planning as my experience with realtors had been a negative one. John immediately returned my emails and called and was so very friendly. It was a pleasure making the arrangements. We were not disappointed with the accomodations. We had family from several locales in PA, my 81 year old father, 76 year old mother from Myrtle Beach, nephew and family from MD, and sister and family from VA. The house was the perfect size as some family came and left and others came. The house is charming, nicely decorated, bright and cheery. The main room was perfect for us all to gather. We are a family of cooks and love preparing meals and eating together. With other properties we have rented we did not always have a well equipped kitchen. Finally, a house that had everything we needed and much we didn't even get to use. The house layout was perfect. My 4 year old great-nephew loved the tv room on the 2nd floor. He had me watching Nemo and Willy Wonka until I can recite them both. We had an enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend this property. We will be back soon. Thanks to John and Alex for making their home available off season.
