Yes it is our best kept secret. If you're looking for a really nice, quiet, and away from it all beach, this is the place. Our condo at the Dunes.
You will know you are at the beach when you enter this fully decorated, fully furnished condo. The master has a king size bed with all the extras. Bunk bed are in the hall for the kids and a queen sleeper in the living area, for the ones who need more space.
The condo overlooks one of the 2 pools and also has a beautiful view of the Gulf. The beach is a small walk and is located about 300 yards from the condo. There is a natural watershed in-between. The beach here is natural and very quiet. Good for walking, swimming, fishing and relaxing. Great for families and alone time. The people here are the best there is and the activities are countless.
Fort Morgan is 1 mile west of us and is great for touring, bike riding or jogging. The ferry to Dauphin Island is located there and is a great trip to take and easy way to get to Mobile and the Casinos in Biloxi, Gulfport and the newest one only one and a half hour drive, on 65 towards Montgomery.
Join in the annual spring and fall birds banding at Fort Morgan or come and watch for the sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs from May to July. All sorts of things to watch for in this natural area.
The fishing is great. You can fish from the beach and depending on the time of year, you can catch Pompano, Flounder, Whiting, Reds, Blue fish and lots of others. Fishing was great in 09. Lots of red fish in the our Oct. trip along with white trout and flounder. Superb fishing also exists at the pointe and the pier at Fort Morgan. So all you fisherman get ready. The Reds start running here in Late Sept.,early Oct. Its a great place to stay during those fishing trips. The pier has been rebuilt after Ivan and Katrina. Great fishing, lots of blue crabs and great sunsets. The marina is located across the street for supplies, licenses, milk and bread runs and now lots of charters for your bay or gulf fishing.You could also bring your boats! Plenty of room in the parking area to store overnight and launch it at the marina whenever your ready. Can't get any easier or better then that. Good luck!
If you want that beach experience without all the traffic and noise, come to our Dunes condo. Restaurants and other activities are just a short drive away. You will be glad you did.
