Simply disappointing

I'm not going to complain about bugs or water stains. All that is understandable in the Smokie Mountains. But upon arrival the entire cabin had yet to be cleaned. My wife and I got to work and washed all the bed sheets and bathroom linens. Luckily we got it all done before the well pump stopped working. That's right....no water for 2 days. Refund sounded reasonable, almost a no brainer. But we didn't get a refund. DO NOT RENT THIS CABIN!!

Owner response:Simply Incredible was cleaned by housekeeper for guests arrival. She did not however make beds just left clena sheets out. Our guests called maintanence and they came out to over assistance. After a day and a half pump did fail at this cabin...guests stated they didn't want to leave because they loved this cabin. They were given half of their rent back for the last day and a half since they chose to stay. We realized after they checked in they were a party of 8...to large for this size cabin. We can only apologize for our well as this area has had a lot of issues with wells caving in due to a lot of rain and the thin slate rock. We sincerely apologize for our guests inconvience.

We arrived at Simply Incredible late night on the week-end of Holloween. Were advised of the changes in housekeeping and maintenance ect...but; by having vacation rentals in Florida we certainly understand all the "issues" that come with the busniness. Every expectation was fullfilled providing for a great visit in the Smokies. Was a Holloween vacation the family will long remember. This is our (3) visit to Simply Incredible during the past two years and certainly will not be our last....can't wait for December!!!

We got to cabin opened door . There had been no cleaning, bed left like the last renter, water and gas off. Called Brandon (in charge of renting), he said he forgot to block out our dates, he did call around and got us place for 3 days of a 4 day stay, paid up front. The cabin was not as appeared in pictures on inside. So we had to rent a hotel for the last night. Waited forever for him to set something lined up. If I was the owners I would get some body more dependable to look out for my property. I have stayed at a lot of places in Pigeon forge, but never had a problem or the frustration I had with this one. Owner my be OK but renters are terrible found out he works for Patriot Getways. we travelved over 400mi to get there, ready to go to bed, but no place to sleep. Bad experince not good for VRBO

Owner response:We were very sorry to hear about the issues of this guest. This is the first we heard about this booking as we had Simply Incredible blocked for updating water filter system. I'm very sorry he was sent to another cabin that was not up to his standards nor look like the pictures. We the owners have since taken control of our bookings and have a wonderful new staff of housekeeping and maintenance. I give their numbers to our guests when they book so if they encounter problems we can help them. This cabin would not have been booked by us during these days. I hope in the near future to hear from these guests so they can enjoy our cabin as they initially wanted. Thank you

Four years ago we rented a cabin owned by the same people and had a wonderful stay. After reading the previous review, I phoned about the condition of the cabin and its amenities. I was told that the hottub had been fixed and was cleaned for each new rental, and that the previous renter was complaining because he was trying to get a refund. I do not want a refund, I simply want what I am told I will get. When we arrived we quickly noticed that the condition of this cabin was not what we'd experienced on our previous vacation. The hottub water was dirty, a film on the entire underwater surface - not a stained tub - and a couple of "hairballs" on the bottom. I contacted the person I had talked to prior to renting the cabin and was told that the housekeeper would be there in an hour and a half to see what she could do. No one ever came or called back over the next two and a half days. The same "one" functional pool stick, along with it's four tipless friends, was at the pool table. The exterior "decor" at this cabin make it look trashy, and in desperate need of an updated. On a positive note, the location of this cabin is wonderful for escaping the noise and distractions of the region, and the interior of the cabin is relatively clean and neat considering the environment it exists in. The cabin severely needs an overhaul, and closer regular maintenance. Maybe a periodic check by an independent home inspector. I truly hope something happens before it's too late.

Owner response:Thank you John for your honest comments...I remember you from before. We have ahd an issue with the staff....they did not understand our water system so the hot tub did not look clean. We have addressed the water system so hopefully we'll have no other issues. The water in this area has a lot of minerals to give the water the look of not being clean. There is no excuse for pool sticks or anything else not being in the best condition. We will be spending time there ourselves the next 2 weeks to make sure staff is on the same page as us and make sure the cabin is everything it has always been....beautiful ...private and very friendly. rented this cabin for two days the Hot tub was not working and the water in it was green. The pool table had only one poolstick that you could use the other ones were broke. Carpenter bees were really bad they had holes all in the sides of the cabin and at night you can hear them in the walls.They were roaches and ants starting to take over the place to the point you couldn't even walk bare footed inside the cabin and if you have kids you know how hard it is to keep shoes on their feet. Scorpians would come up in the sink in the cabin. The cabin decks and deck furniture were unclean and unuseable, who wants to sit on filthy deck furniture.The whirlpool tub and the other bath tub were unclean, the whirlpool tub had black stuff coming out of it when you turned on the jets so that was unuseable as well. When you go on vacation you dont want to have to clean up the place you are staying at but I had to this time. We love staying in cabins out in the mountains but this time it would have been a better experience staying in so run down cheap motel. You better bet before I stay at any cabin owed by these people again I willI go to the nearest Hampton Inn. You should never advertise a clean cabin or hot tub the way you did and it all be in the condition it was in. The pictures on the internet show a beautifully clean cabin. Working hot tub with clean water and clean decks you could have sit on in which we didnt have the pleasure of experiencing any of because none of it was like it was advertised in the pictures you see online. I brought my family here to have a good experience but it turned out to be the worst experience we have had. Truely a nightmare for someone trying to show his wife and family a wonderful time out in the mountains.

We are lucky enough to have found our wonderful new staff that cares as much about our cabin as we do. If our guests have a problem with anything we welcome and hope our guests will call the number they are given to address any issues or needs. Sometimes as in this case they are not contacted until after the fact. Our housekeeper and maintenance staff take great pride in what they do and know they are part of our guest returning . There are ladybugs in the mountains the state lets out to help the trees survive the aphids...tiny scorpians are in the mountains but not very common...they have a sting like a bee....no roaches have been seen at any time. Again we welcome all comments good and bad and will always have our staff check on ...repair...or fix anything a guest needs. We value all our guests and know they come to us to Refresh...Renew and make lots of Memories with their families and friends. We look forward to hearing from our many return guests as welling as making new friends in the future and we take pride in their stay being all they expect. Cleanliness is the utmost importance to us. Our cabin is private clean and has a wonderful peaceful Smokey Mountain View. Thank you

We had a hard time finding our cabin but once we found it we had a GREAT time. The view was GREAT and the weather was beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful. The only thing I found disappointing was some of the small appliances were broken and the cabin was not as clean as I would have expected it to be.

We are frequent visitors to the area and picked your cabin for our Christmas visit and we couldn't have made a better choice. Your cabin was convenient to the major attractions while offering privacy and a peacefulness that we were seeking. The mountain views were nice and we really enjoyed the mist rising from the mountains after a Christmas morning rain. Your cabin had all the comforts that we needed and then some and is well laid out with everything you need for a nice mountain visit. All you need to bring are the groceries and a williness to open yourself to the mountain magic that surrounds you from the time you arrive. I really enjoyed all the information you gave before our visit and we hope to visit with ya'll again. Thanks for making your cabin available to us and all the others that will be fortuanate enough to follow us.

We arrived at Simply Incredible on Wednesday October 3rd for four nights. The pictures on the website do not do the location justice. It is breathtaking!! I came with my husband, two sons, father-in-law and my grandmother. The game room was perfect for entertaining while looking out the windows for georgeous views! We enjoyed watching the fog rise in the mornings from the mountains as we drank our coffee. You really feel like you are the only ones on the mountain. There are homes in the area, but you can not see them or hear them. The cabin was very clean and updated, I only wish it had been cool enough to use the fire place :)We went to the Tennessee/Ga game on Saturday and had a great time, but were still excited to get back to the cabin! We will definetely be coming back to stay in Simply Icredible next year! Thanks Suzanne and Ron!
