This spacious four bedroom, two story, sunny, end-unit condominium in highly desirable Ponderosa complex features three decks overlooking exceptional, unobstructed views of Mt. Crested Butte and the surrounding mountains. It is an easy 300 yard walk to the slopes, restaurants and shopping around the base area and newly constructed Mountaineer Square. From here you can easily catch a ride on the Mountain Express, a free shuttle service that runs every 20 minutes to historic downtown Crested Butte where shopping and a variety of local restaurants abound.
Recently updated, the fully stocked kitchen has granite counter tops, beautiful slate tile floors, all new furniture and appliances. The first floor has an open floor plan for the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The lower level also includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms that share a common tub area. Two large master bedrooms that share a full bath are located upstairs. The spacious, approximately 2000 square foot interior features comfortable furniture for enjoying the moss rock hearth, wood-burning fireplace, and new TV and DVD. Wireless Internet (WiFi) is included with your rental and accessible with your portable device throughout the unit.
All of the art throughout the home reflects the natural beauty of the surrounding area and features the work of several celebrated local artists.
This unique, two story condominium comfortably sleeps eight. The two bedrooms downstairs have two twin beds each with new mattresses, cotton blankets, flannel sheets and colorful quilts. The very large master bedrooms upstairs have king-size beds with new mattresses and roomy closets. One room features cable T.V. and a private covered deck for viewing the spectacular sunsets over the Red Lady. The two bedrooms upstairs share a spacious bathroom and includes a stacked washer and dryer for laundry.
Not to mention that Crested Butte is the place to be. Whether it be in winter for apres ski. After hitting world class terrain, knee deep in powder all day, walk back from the lifts, join your family in the new large hot tub for five to seven people overlooking the base area, while you fire up the gas grill on the patio. Okay. You prefer the warmer months of Spring and Summer. Bring your mountain bike and a pack of friends to ride or hike any one of the scenic trails directly from the front door.
During the summer months, Crested Butte the "Wildflower Capital" is host to the Wildflower Festival in July as well as many athletic races ranging from Fat Tire Bike Week in June to the 1/3 Marathon from Gothic to downtown Crested Butte every 4th of July. Additionally, the Gunnison Valley is home to some of the best fly fishing around.
Or Fall. If you prefer the more laid back approach to experiencing the mountains, late September into early October is peak time to watch the Aspens glow. Year round, you will find a good balance between adventure and peace of mind in this quirky but enchanting mountain town.

Why the Owner Chose Crested Butte
We love Crested Butte because of the laid back feel of the place and its people. Its like the wild, wild west of ski resorts. No fur shops. No Cartier. No chains whatsoever. Its easy to get around this small town by bike or free public transportation. Great hikes abound. And its the best place to mountain bike in the entire state of Colorado!

I love how spacious it is. It is peaceful and quiet. There are spectacular views. And I always feel like I have truly gotten away.

We are a family of five that used to live in Boulder, Colorado. I have been vacationing with my family in Crested Butte since I was 8 years old. I grew up skiing on Mt. Crested Butte and I remember when there were only 3 lifts up the mountain to include a gondola that went to the ever elusive base of the butte. I now come back with my family every summer to hike and bike and enjoy my beloved C.B.

We booked this condo for a group of friends that were meeting up in Crested Butte for a snowboard vacation. The online description truly doesn't do it justice for everything it has to offer. The layout of the condo is perfect for a group of couples or a family, plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen has anything and everything you could need to cook (which saves money not having to eat out every night!). The sauna and hot tub were a great edition especially after a long day on the slopes. The condo is very quite, no noisy neighbors to deal with! The location in reference to everything on the mountain couldn't be better. Everything is truly within a comfortable walking distance and if you really don't want to walk the shuttles run quite often. Holly (the owner) was more than helpful recommending equipment rentals, the City Market for groceries in Gunnision, and places to go out to eat. We truly felt like a member of the family. We won't hesitate to stay here again for our next stay in Crested Butte. You can't go wrong with this condo! Thank you again!

We have stayed at other places in Crested Butte, but this condo is BY FAR the best! It is very clean and neat and well organized. The decor is beautiful and the kitchen is fabulous with the granite countertops! The view from both decks is soothing to the soul ~ many mornings and afternoons were spent with a warm or cool beverage just inhaling the relaxing mountain air! There is plenty of room for the whole crew and the bedrooms are HUGE! Bathrooms are great ~ ROOMY! Furniture is comfortable and new. We LOVED the dining room table because it is large and allowed us ALL to sit and eat at the same time!! That is NOT the case in many other rental places in Crested Butte. What a fantastic area ~ the sauna and hot-tub are both right out the door and GREAT after a long day or to start the day off loose and relaxed. The condo is centrally located, a bunch of shops and eating places just a short (2 min) walk out the door. The slopes and hiking trails are close and miles and miles of beauty and freedom! The parking lot is big ~ actually there are two parking lots that make it VERY easy to unpack and be relaxing within minutes of arrival. We will be back, in fact we loved it so much that we are already booked for next year!
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

The owners were great to work with. We had some special requests that they were able to accommodate. The location was fantastic with a short walk to the lifts and if you don't mind popping off your skis to walk across two roads, you can take the "Home Owners" trial and ski right down to the condo. The beds were wonderfully comfortable after a long day of skiing. The kitchen was well stocked with more cups, silverware, and utensils than you could ever use. There were stacks of games in the closet and a nice flat screen TV next to the fireplace. The hot tub is two flights of stairs and a 100 feet from the door, but well maintained and a great place to soak after a log day of skiing and look at the stars. I would look to stay here again.

This condo was great! Very nice amenities, very clean, and had all the extras you'd want or need. Location to the slopes was great! Also, easy access to the free bus loop. Parking was well off the street and safe. Hot tub is great! Price was way to cheap for a luxurious condo like this! We plan on staying here again!
