Why the Owner Chose Virginia Beach
We purchased this home in 1986 with the idea of one day making it a bed & breakfast. I raised my family here and now the children are grown and on their own... so we decided to make it a vacation rental home. Much easier for me than the bed & breakfast. ;)
The Unique Benefits at this House
The Beach and the Boardwalk have all gone through $$$ million upgrading for the past several years. It is amazing all the tax dollars the city has put back into the resort for everyone to enjoy. I remember daily taking my 2 children down to the beach in their little wagon to enjoy the sandy beach and water. Still have a wagon for our guests to enjoy as well. So many restaurants, shops and water sports are all right here you do not have to drive and search for parking just walk from the house and it is all at your leisure.
Guests have all commented on how comfortable the home is. I have had the pleasure of meeting many guests from Canada and Europe. Several guests return every year. Confirms to me I am doing something right.
All Tourism Functions hosted here at the Convention Center only 3 blocks away within walking distance

This location is great. We could walk to the beach everyday without feeling like we were 'on the strip' at night. It has all the charm of a friendly, small-town neighborhood while still being steps away from all the hustle and bustle of the beach. There was always something going on at the beach -and we were a short drive from all the sights of Norfolk, Virginia Pier, and even Williamsburg. The house was very accommodating and bigger than we thought it would be. There was plenty of room for the 8 adults in our group - and it just felt like home. Off street parking was nice, because the beach traffic shows up during the day and park wherever they can find a spot. Our drivers didn't have to worry because there are parking spaces in the back. We had a sing-a-long on the porch one night, and fried the catch from our charter trip in the big kitchen the next. The layout works perfectly for entertaining, enjoying a relaxing night in the living room, or just hanging out on the enclosed porch. Lots of bedrooms, too. This was just too easy. We will definitely be staying here for our next reunion!

We stayed at the house in early August and we had a great week. The weather was perfect and the house easily accommodated both families. It looks like the owner has done a lot of work on the house, and it was nice to see the updated kitchen and bathrooms along with the charm of an older home. I didn't expect the internet access to be so important, but it turns out that one of my nephews was taking an online summer course for college and he was able to get all his work in and on time! There was one little glitch with it and the owner was very responsive in getting in touch with her service provider and it was up and working in no time! A lovely home. :)

My overall stay during my family vacation at this property was excellent. If we had a problem at the house, we got a phone call and it was resolved that same day. The house is only 3 blocks away from beach and the neighborhood is very quite. I would recommend this house to any of my friends and family. My family and extended family enjoyed our stay during our week in Virginia Beach.

We stayed this past summer, 8 of us, with plenty of room to spare. The house was clean and comfortable. Very convenient location to the beach, restaurants, shops. Also importantly the owner promptly refunded our entire deposit (we left the property in good condition at the end of our stay).

Stayed her last year, had a great time, house was well maintained plenty of room for all of us. We go as a family every summer, kids loved having the room on third floor for themselves. Within walking distance to beach and downtown, everyone enjoyed the street performers. Can't wait to return.
