  Our family came from Vancouver and Toronto, Canada to be together for Christmas and New Years. Most of our time was spent here on the South Beach. This home is a lovely retreat- walking distance to several lovely beaches, and a short drive to many more. e enjoyed the snorkeling at Lawa'i Beach- next to the Beach House restaurant.We even swam with a sea turtle. The house is situated on a lovely stream and we were able to watch the sea turtles come in to rest every night from a spot at the end of the road .There is a great barbecue on the lanai and we enjoyed many dinners listening to the water and enjoying the flood lit view at night. Beds are all super comfy and kitchen is well equipped. House is large enough for all guests to have privacy and not feel cramped. Has a/c which wouldn't be needed except at night, as we recommend closing the windows, to lessen the noise of the roosters crowing at all hours! (And I thought that they only crowed at dawn- was I wrong! ) Some must do's- snorkeling at Lawa'i Beach, ice cream at Lafferty's, fish tacos from Da Cracks, Waimea canyon, Napali coast either by catamarans or helicopter. If the surf is high, helicopter is your only choice.The Taro chips at Hanapepe, as well as the art shops there. All in all a fabulous spot. Only thing missing is an IPod dock. Would definitely recommend this home.

  It was the first visit to Kauai for all 6 of us and while the island itself is beautiful, staying at Sansei Hale made it an unforgettable vacation. The photos alone do not do it justice; you need to see for yourself the spectacular view from the lanai and hear the sounds of the stream, birds, and roosters (yes, you will come to love them). The location is perfect. We visited the sea turtles daily, enjoyed nearby Baby Beach, Spouting Horn, and quick drives to Koloa Town. Although very near a new shopping center and the Poipu resort area, when you are in the house it feels like you are in a serene non-commercial tropical setting.The house itself is very clean, large, and nicely decorated. Each bedroom is situated to give maximum privacy to the occupants. The 2nd floor area is quite spacious. I love the story of the history of the property posted on the wall...be sure to read it...very interesting! Oh, and I don't want to forget to mention the avocados (huge), mangoes (delicious), pomelos (gigantic), starfruit and bananas growing in the yard. If this sounds like paradise...it is!!!

  This was the best VRBO experience we've had. The house is absolutely fabulous. The sound of the creek running over the rocks was soothing & peaceful. We ate all our meals on the large table outdoors on the lanai. The view from the balcony in the upstairs master bedroom is wonderful. The house had many extras. Be sure to read the history of the house which is framed and hung on the wall of the upstairs bonus room.

  Wow! This is a great home and a great location. Kauai is by far our favorite island and this home helped make this a great vacation. The location on Turtle Cove is amazing. Don't pass up a chance to stay in this home. Jim and Deb Gordon

  We stayed in this beautiful home from Jun 20 - 27. We found it to be an awesome place to stay, it was very comfortable and nicely decorated. We had a super time with our family celebrating the high school graduation of a very special grandaughter who"ll be at San Jose State this fall. We all loved our time in your place.   We were deligted with Sansei Hale in every respect. The house is beautifully decorated and yet very comfortable and welcoming. The location and views are unbeatable and the layout of the house providing two master bedroom suites as well as additional sleeping room/area is great for couples or families. The perfectly designed and equipped gourmet kitchen and both inside/outside eating areas work very well and the comfort of the living room made our family kick back evenings perfect. We can't wait for our next stay, which is already booked so we can share it once again with some of our family. It truly is a home in paradise.

  We stayed at this home for 6 weeks with our 2 kids. It would be hard to describe the trip in detail, but truely wonderful, would be close. This home is very well equiped and is very comfortable. The yard itself has much character and is very well maintained. The kids had a great time picking bananas, avacodoes, Mangos, coconuts and limes. I left my number in case anyone has questions. Dave

  Absolutely idyllic setting-from the moment the sun peeks over the trees to the soothing lull of the stream at night. We walk down to "Turtle Cove" every evening to watch the turtles come in from the ocean - spectacular and thrilling! The house is beautifully decorated & laid out perfectly. The kitchen is a dream - top of the line appliances - and the lanai is where we eat every meal. We have stayed 3 times, with our 4th already booked for next year. I call it "Heaven on Earth" and it truly is. Oh! The snorkeling at the end of the creek is GREAT. Grab your gear and walk down. Poipu Beach is nearby and it's the perfect spot for all ages to snorkel. Best place to stay in Kauai - hands down.
