Owner's Profile

Owner Description

We love Angel Fire in both summer and winter. It is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful, and the people we have met there are friendly. Although we live in Florida (just fifteen minutes from one of the top-rated beaches in the world), we take every chance we get to escape to the mountains in New Mexico.

Why the Owner Chose Angel Fire

We found Angel Fire "by accident" through an Internet search, and are thrilled we did! We picked Snowfire - the condo complex - because it was convenient to the slopes and everything in town, quiet, and offered extra amenities such as the heated lobby with private ski lockers (available to our guests) and elevator.

The Unique Benefits of this Condominium

This is our home away from home, and we hope our guests will feel the same way. We have furnished it with the things we need to feel comfortable when we stay there, including the memory foam mattress toppers, an optional humidifier our guests may use, plenty of kitchen utensils, and high speed Internet access.

    • Our family of 5 stayed in this condo during our first family ski trip.It was perfect for all of our needs. We had very clean and comfortable rooms and our own kitchen,bathrooms,washer/dryer to use and close to everything. There is a fantastic restaurant right across from complex where my husband and I had a really nice dinner.(The Roasted Clove)It was so great to arrive in building and not worry about all the kids wet and muddy gear as you can leave it at locker in the main entrance. We cooked our own meals and lunches as it is so close to town and my kids did not want to leave this place! We had a much better set up than our friends who stayed at the lodge.Only negative part was the ski experience itself.Do not think I can recommend AF ski school and the slopes in the spring....The best part of all the planning for the trip was getting accquainted with Gerri. She is the most helpful and kind person you could want to make plans with.If we are back at AF we will make her our first choice!

    • One of the most comfortable condos in Angel Fire! Why? This is a spacious condo with a large master bedroom, plenty of closet and drawer space for your things, a nice dining room table, and a well equipped kitchen with great plates, silverware and cooking pans. It has a gas fireplace for those chilly days. (No hassle with building a wood fire) In addition, the Snowfire complex is located one block away from the main road to the ski area, reducing the noise from traffic and skateboarders. You enter the building through an enclosed ski locker area which is heated in winter. A charming landscaped courtyard greets you beyond that. The condo has windows opening on both sides of the unit so that in summer a pleasant breeze cools the unit. There is a nice balcony with a view of the mountains. The wireless internet connection is a definite plus.

    • Our stay at the condo was great. The fall colors were just getting good. Thanks to the New Mexico trails hiking guide on the bookshelf we found many good hikes within minutes of the condo. A couple favorites were Elliott Barker #1 trail found on page 28, and Elliott Barker Osha Pass trail on page 26. The Osha pass trail starts just up the road behind Valley Market which is only about 1/4 mi from the condo. This unit truly has the best of both worlds as you can walk to the store, library, restaurant and a host of other amenities, but also lovely secluded trails through the woods are only a short drive away. After being out at night it was good to warm our bones by the gas fireplace, and the kitchen was well equipped to cook anything you could want. The washer and dryer were handy, and everything was clean. Five adults in the unit was comfortable. We even had an empty bed.

    • We found the condo very comfortable for the 5 of us-23,21 anad 13 yr old boys.I loved the ease of parking, walking to the slopes if needed and the heated entry area. Two full baths and the washer dryer were a plus-elevator was nice when initially moving in or out-stairs easy for quick trips up and down. Great closet space. Not luxurious but nice. Quiet complex

    • Gerri is great to work with and is very conscientious. You are in good hands with her. Even though I did not rent her condo, she worked with me in providing great information and offers very quick responses. Look into it!
