Casa Feliz is set amidst it's own olive grove and was totally renovated in 2005 to give excellent family accommodation. It has three double bedrooms with an open planned kitchen into the dining area and lounge with a wood burning stove.
A door from the living area leads onto a walled courtyard at the rear. A door to the front leads straight onto an enclosed vine covered terrace with private full size pool. Below the pool area, there is a large split level sun terrace with stunning views over Iznajar lake. A perfect place to enjoy an evening drink or meal, watching the reflections of the sun setting over the water. All of the terraces have soft lighting for you to enjoy late evenings outside listening to the cicadas and looking at the stars.
We are just 50 minutes drive from both Malaga and Granada airports, where there is a good choice of low cost airlines.
Casa Feliz is a great base for sightseeing. Approx.1-1/2hrs hours drive to Cordoba, with it's famous Arabian Mosque, also known as La Mezquita, or 2hrs to the beautiful city of Seville. Granada with The Arabian monuments of La Alhambra is only 1 hour away and then just another half hour to The International ski resort of Sierra Nevada.
The local village of Iznajar, which is pronounced Ith-nak-har is just a 5 minute drive away with it's steep cobbled street, ancient castle and churches, plus a selection of quaint shops,bars, restaurants, plus banks, post office and doctors.
Iznajar has an inland beach on the lake where in the summer you can swim, fish or hire pedalos and boats. There is also a restaurant and bar next to the beach.
The house has 3 bedrooms, The master bedroom with large balcony has queensize bed and luxury en-suite bathroom. The 2nd bedroom is twin bedded with en-suite W.C.and washing facilities and it's own balcony. The 3rd bedroom is on the ground floor with twin beds and double doors leading onto the vine terrace. All of the bedrooms are well furnished and all have wardrobes and dressing tables.
The lounge has a modern wood burner stove set into the fireplace and has sofas, satellite T.V. with a good selection of English channels. There is also a DVD & Video machine, music centre, films, music, local literature, maps & games.
The open plan kitchen is well equipped with full size range type gas cooker, large fridge freezer and opens onto the dining area with table & chairs.
The kitchen also leads into a utility room with washing machine and then into the family bathroom with large shower.
There is a full size pool, three terraces and a courtyard all equipped with outside furniture, sun loungers and gas barbecue.
The house is detached and set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and perfect for a quiet retreat or to discover the delights of Andalucia. Our own house is adjacent to Casa Feliz, we do not intrude on our guests but are on hand to give any help or advice that may be required.
There is a large parking area within the grounds at the front of the house.
Casa Feliz is fully equipped and furnished to a high standard. Egyptian white cotton bed linen, personal towels and pool towels are all provided.
