The town of Fruita has an outdoor public swimming pool (summer only). Enjoy the Farmers Market every Saturday during the summer. Fruita is home to the annual "Fat Tire Festival" in April, and several other festivals and events throughout the year.
About 9 miles away, the city of Grand Junction offers shopping malls, theatre, golf, tennis, swimming, and many other attractions.
The Fruita/Grand Junction area is renowned for excellent mountain biking trails. Another mountain bike mecca - Moab, Utah - is only a 1.5 hour drive west of Fruita. This home is centrally located to trails in Loma, Bookcliffs, Rabbit Valley and Grand Junction's famous "Lunch Loop."
Kids and adults alike will enjoy learning the geology and history of the area by visiting the Dinosaur Museum, Dinosaur Hill or the "Trail through Time" in nearby Rabbit Valley.
