We stayed at this property this past June and had a great time! We had seven kids under six and there was plenty of fun to be had all over the property. Exploring, golf, paddle boats, ping pong, and so much more. The wrap around porch was the best. Kids were safe, shaded, and had a little freedom to run while staying close to the house. Everything was there that we expected as far as kitchen items. There weren't any extra bath towels so make sure to bring your own if you're thinking of staying. Maybe there were some in a closet and we just didn't see. Either way, no big deal. We had plenty room, quiet/peaceful nights, and loved to watch the fireflies each night. We planned to do a bonfire our last night but were completely exhausted from all the other fun things. We used the grill which worked great and had no problems with air conditioning/washer/sink, etc... Great property, great price, great fun! Thanks so much!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Once again, our family enjoyed 3 nights and days at this beautiful property . The weather was perfect and the leaves still beautiful. There had been many improvements to the property since our visit last fall and that made this visit even better than our last 3!! The screened porches had been redone, new grill, new appliances in the kitchen and all recreational equipment stored and reorganized to make having fun, easy. We had great fun around the campfire and there was wood already there when we arrived, once again. thank you for all you do to make our family Thanksgiving so memorable. We will set the date for next year soon, the cousins wouldn't want to be anywhere else than together at this place.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I stayed along witrh our 2 y.o. and my best friend and his wife, and we all had a fantastic time. We rode 4 wheelers and the drive way is huge so my little boy could ride his power wheels all up and down the road.We had bon fire, and played in the creek, and watched our little one throw a million rocks into it. This is a perfect place for couples with small children like ourselves, or for anyone who just needs to get away.We are going back very soon!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Having a place large enough for our children and grandchildren to all stay together was wonderful. The house, screen porches, firepit - was everything we needed and more. It's a wonderful place for small kids, teenagers and us big kids! Thanks so much for allowing us to use it. the kids really loved all of the trails for their 4-wheelers and the hiking trails/creeks were great for getting all of us outside too! It's everything you could want for a large vacation place.(Saw deer and turkey too)Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

I have been lucky enough to spend the past 15 Memorial Day weekends with the same group of dear friends. This year we spent the holiday in Paradise and had so much fun we have already booked our return for Mem. Day 2013! With 125 acres to explore, I imagine we will return several times. We felt like we were in your own private state park! If you're like me and love to hike in the woods, bring boots and plenty of bug/tick spray.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, pet owners.

I am so excited that I found this gem. My family’s get together was fantastic; they loved everything the home had to offer. The natural beauty and serenity was just what we all needed. The home was very nice with all the amenities of home. We took advantage of all the wonderful things offered. The main floor had a wrap around screened in porch with tables, rocking chairs and wonderful views. The huge lower deck had a ping-pong table, corn hole game, tables and rocking chairs to enjoy. We had our own family Olympics with the miniature golf, basketball, shuffle board, and kayak racing. The men enjoyed the shooting range which is placed away from the other activities, so everyone was happy. We explored the creeks, which the kids had a blast, they also loved the hammocks. There are numerous trails to hike. We camped out one night under the stars near the lake after enjoying a bonfire. I look forward to our next visit and would recommend this to anyone looking for something special to share with family and friends.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The property where the house is located is beautiful. The views are simply spectacular, and it is a very secluded location. However, the house needs some work. Living room is quite small, furniture is old and dated. Some light bulbs were burned out, citronella candles were filled with nasty cigarette ashes, and the former tenant left empty cardboard beer boxes on the screened porch (which we took to the dumpster). The front porch screens are in disrepair and have large holes in them. The dock is falling down at the lake. One of the screen doors needs to be replaced. Our biggest complaint, however, was the fact that there were 2 gas grills on the property - and neither one worked. One was totally wrecked and other was out of LP gas and it was in a terribly filthy condition! Property caretaker is falling down on the job, and perhaps the owner is unaware?Recommended for: Adventure seekers.
Owner response: I would like to thank this visitor for brining these minor wear and tear issues to my attention and it is being addressed immediately. I am also pleased that another person can be listed to our list of dozens and dozens of people who have enjoyed this magically place. I encourage all, to read our other reviews. The home and property are amazing, providing a great get-away. We maintain the highest level of cleanness and comfort for our guests’ to enjoy all facets of their stay.

Our family of 10----children/grandchildren---spent several wonderful days exploring area, using gun range/fishing/riding 4-wheelers/etc. We were already familiar with the area because both my husband and I grew up not too far away, and family members still live in North AL and SCentral TN.; however found this site by accident, and very glad! By second day, son had started planning next trip to bring friends from Waco, TX who have family in B'ham, AL. Best vacation we had spent together in long time, maybe even best ever :-).Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.

This was our third time to the property. It was so pretty with the leaves changing as we rode ATVs on the trails, practiced shooting at the shooting range, walked back and forth to the campfire and had a family relay before our huge "thanksgiving" dinner. Family from 4 states met together again for a wonderful, relaxing weekend in a beautiful valley in Tennessee. The house is always comfortable and the wraparound porches provide an awesome view of the property...thank you SO SO MUCH for sharing your beautiful place. We will meet there again for years to come!!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

Our family stayed here for a week in June, 2011, and we had a wonderful time. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking, and there is always something to do. We had a great time on the ATV trails. From the trails, the creek is so beautiful and peaceful. You feel like you are in another world. The kids enjoyed playing in the creek, floating around in the kayaks, and playing golf on the golf course (balls and clubs are provided). The fire pit was enjoyable for all as we made Smores on several evenings (skewers are even provided)! We also enjoyed seeing the Amish buggies on the road and visiting some of their homes. The house is very well-equipped, but if you have forgotten anything, the local Wal-Mart is conveniently located 8 miles away. If you enjoy outdoor acivities, this is the place for you. And if you don't, sit on the deck or the porch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and watch from there. There is truly something for everyone here. Thanks for your hospitality, Jerry and Donna!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, pet owners, sightseeing.
