    • I had the pleasure of staying in this gorgeous guest house, perfectly tucked away in the lush Appalachians. Gabrielle and Ed were incredibly friendly and hospitable, making sure my friends and I were well taken care of. I spent an entire day hanging out at the secluded pond, followed with a bbq at the cozy covered deck nearby. Delicious!

    • My weekend at the Eco-Cove was fantastic! Ed and Gabrielle were wonderful hosts and the property is gorgeous. My favorite activity was floating in the pond and watching the koi swim underneath me. This is a beautiful, peaceful place and I hope to be back very soon.

    • We recently spent an extended weekend at Eco- Cove. We had an absolutely fantastic time. The house is wonderful. Very cozy and we instantly settled in. It really felt like home. The grounds were wonderful as well. Very peaceful. The kids LOVED swimming with the koi in the pond. Another few days and they would have been eating from our hands! We got to do some great hiking/exploring as the house is close to several trails, waterfalls, etc. Finally, Gabrielle and Ed were fantastic hosts. Great company as well. We loved the Island stories. Very interesting. We hope to spend some time back at Eco-Cove again soon. Thanks Gabrielle and Ed!

    • We recently spent a week at Eco Cove wildlife center and it was by far the most relaxing and carefree vacation that we have had in years. Crossing the bridge that leads to Eco Cove, I felt as if I’d entered an enchanted forest. It is a beautiful place to stay, an island of serenity where peace and tranquility are the norm. There are no neighbors, other than our hosts, Gabrielle and Ed Thompson, who are completely unobtrusive and yet make you feel like family. Sitting on the porch or at the pavilion, with millions of stars overhead and fireflies blinking over the meadow, makes me feel like I never want to leave! The intimacy of the forest, in its cool canopy of various shades of green, offers wildflowers and singing creeks. The abundance of flowers in Gabrielle’s gardens is a joy, as is picking wild blackberries along the pond’s edge. Pink and white water lilies bloom in the pond’s shallows, and inner tube floating with a soda or a beer is a wonderful way to spend a lazy afternoon. Staying at Eco Cove is like being able to camp in nature with all the inside comfort and modern conveniences of home.

    • We were lucky enough to find the Echo Cove House online and when we went up and saw it and met Gabrielle and Eddie we fell in love immediately! It's like a well hidden secret up there. The house is elegant, clean and well stocked. its quiet , private, and very relaxing with nicely groomed trails for hiking or leasure walking. There was also just about anything from fine dining to beautiful water falls within minutes of the house. We can't wait to go back! Gabrielle loves flowers so when you go up, bring her a flower. :) You'll see what I mean. The Lis's

    • We had the good fortune of being able to reserve for Christmass week at Eco-Cove. The cabin was wonderful and Ed, Gabrielle and Lyric were awesome hosts. The house was clean, fully equiped and the location is great! 30 minutes to Asheville and few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and all of what Western North Carolina has to offer. We had a great time and would definitely recommend Eco-Cove for anyone looking for a peaceful place in NC. Tatia, Andres and Lucas PS. We hope to be there soon again!

    • I have not stayed here, but I have visited my friends who live here and own this property... there are no other comments yet because it has just become available for rent for the first time. This house was a full-time residence, that has just been renovated for guest rentals. Eco-Cove is a beautiful wooded site, and your hosts Gabrielle and Ed are warm, friendly, delightful folks. You'll enjoy your stay here!
