  This property was the perfect selection for our maui trip. The owners were great from the begining with communication and detailed infomation about the property. The condo was very nice, and with a beautiful ocean sunset view every night you cant beat. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The location is perfect for anyone coming to scuba dive, surf, snorkel, golf, etc. with all these within minutes of the condo. Plenty of great restaurants very close.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

  What we liked: • The condo was very well laid out and appeared spacious. • It has a fully equipped kitchen, DVD, washer/ dryer. The refrigerator, dishwasher are full size. • Convenient free parking • The use of a grocery and luggage cart to carry things to our room and back to the car. • The view was breathtaking and the unit very quiet. • There was adequate seating in the living room for 4 people. • We appreciated the dining table within the unit in addition to the small table on the lanai. • The art work and floral arrangements were attractive and added a personal touch. • Lots of special touches to make people feel at home (books, music, things for children) • Great beach and lawn area on the south side of the building. • Most memorable, were the people who live there. A lot of the residents go to the roof for dinner. It’s a great gathering and worth your time to experience. What was disappointing? • This was advertised as a penthouse. My expectation was to see an apartment on the roof or top of the building. But, apparently the term Penthouse in “Real-estate terms” may refer to ANY top floor unit. This is one of many 6th floor units but not what I consider to be a penthouse apartment. • The pictures and term Penthouse, lead you to believe that the unit is adjacent to the rooftop terrace. The elevators only go to the 6th floor, where your unit is. To access the roof, you have to walk up a flight of stairs and open the door with a pass key. It’s not easy working a pass key while carrying food, dishes and barbecue utensils so be prepared to make multiple trips. • The Lanai is small. Although it has 4 chairs and a small table only 2 people can sit comfortably. • The beds were uncomfortable. • The internet did not work. The owners, said it was a hit-and-miss proposition. After considerable troubleshooting effort we were unable to connect until we moved to Lahiana the following week. • The toilet in the master bathroom needed servicing. • Even the bare minimum of laundry soap (2 T) caused the master bathroom sinks to back up. We informed the owners who said, “It happens all the time and not to be concerned”. • According to the owner, the furnishings are fairly new. Guests however, have not treated the contents with the same consideration as they would their own furnishings. Unfortunately, there’s not enough space left to give examples.

  Owner response: Owner response: Thank you for your review. As owners, we welcome feedback so we can ensure a memorable vacation in a comfortable environment. The condominium is refreshed twice a year by the owners to address any improvements suggested by guests; any other appliance technicalities are immediately serviced by repairmen. The following issues have been addressed and repaired: -Toilet Trip Lever: a resident repairman has replaced the lever and adjusted the linkage. -Furnishings: the furnishings are new or fairly new. Subtle wear is expected by year round guest use for which we have no control. However, an assessment is made twice a year from the owners to refurbish or replace the condo contents. -Internet: the internet router and designated signal has been deemed reliable. Security settings have to be configured on each user's computer to access the designated condominium internet signal. -Master Bathroom Sink: a plumber has assessed the pipes (which tie-in to the washer drain piping) and is reconfiguring the bathroom sink plumbing pipes. -Lanai: All 2 bedroom condominium units at Meneshore Shores have the same architectural layouts; the condo spacing is reflected in up-do-date pictures provided on the website. -Beds: Regretfully it is impossible to cater to every individuals' sleep comfort with the condo's bedroom mattresses. -Barbecue Access: Menehune Shores offers 2 barbecue locations: the rooftop and the pool/ocean areas for the guests. Unfortunately the food to barbecue locations does not walk on its' own. - Thank you for your positive criticism.

  Thank you for our wonderful stay in our condo; itt is absolutely beautiful. Your condo was our home away from home. We we arrived, we immediately noticed how clean and well maintained the condo was. We can honestly say this was our best vacation ever. Thanks you for providing us with such a beautiful place to stay.

  Lynn and Murray, The ladies and I had a very pleasant stay in your condo. It is very clean and well maintained, which I so much appreciated! Thank you for providing little things as well like the entertainment centre with the TV, CD player, Ipod dock, etc. Menehune Shores is also a lovely place and also beautifully maintained. All in all, a lovely 2 week getaway. All the best!

  What a wonderful vacation! The whales gave us quite a thrill, especially from the roof and our lanaii. The kayaking is so fun off this beach. Thanks for the lovely accomodation!

  We really enjoyed our stay here in condo #604. This was our fourth stay here in Maui and we loved it. Some of our highlights were kayaking, paddle surfing, canoeing and relaxing. This condo is very comfortable and a nice 'home away from home'. Mahalo!

  This unit was perfect for us. Clean, well equipped and a gorgeous view. We found the staff very warm and friendly . We especially enjoyed the rooftop BBQ. While windy, the sunset was unbelievable , and we had a few BBQ's up there , made even more fun by a group that had an evening "conch blowing ritual"

  We had a fantastic time here at #604 Menehune Shores and are very thankful for your generous hospitality. Highlights of our trip included a beautiful drive on the road to Hana, relaxing at your beautiful shoreside pool and finding unexpected treasure in the reef at Little Beach!
