We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, tastefully decorated home. The home is fully equipped and exceptionally clean upon our arrival. The heated pool was especially nice to have on the sunny but cool days. We enjoyed exploring the Venice area and having a Garmin for directions was a godsend. Great shopping, beaches, golf and history. First cast into the large man-made pond on the poolside resulted in a catch and release of bass - bring your favourite bass lure! All our communications were done by email and mail and the owner provided detailed but easy to follow instructions for arrival etc. We enjoyed meeting Bob the seaford monger who has fresh seafood Fri to Sun on the side of River Road, east of the development. We had a fantastic 2 weeks at this house in December 2012, the owner responded to all our queries immediately when we were initially enquiring about the house, which made it really helpful and easy to choose this house. The photo's don't do this house justice, it's even bigger and more luxurious and really clean. Everything you can imagine is at the house and it's well stocked for all your needs. Various beaches are a mere 10 mins drive away, and we opted to go to Siesta Beach at least 6 times during our stay, which is only a 25 mins drive away. It truly is the no 1 beach in the USA. The added bonus of a gated community alongside clubhouse facilities was really great. We can definitely recommend this house and look forward in spending time there again in the future. We booked this Villa for a 20 night stay in January 2013. Having been to the Gulf Coast on a number of occasions we had never stopped in Venice. The villa is as nice as the pictures show, tastefully decorated and furnished. It was well equipped with everything that you would need and two lounges should you have a party that want to do different things/watch something else on TV. The 62” TV was great for catching up on the US shows we have come to enjoy when we are over from the UK. The main bedroom had a huge bed, and the ensuite had separate shower and bath and double wash basins. The pool area was very spacious and again well equipped with comfortable loungers and two dining areas. The pool was nice and the hot tub fantastic, the benefit of electric heating over solar was noticeable. Two bikes, tennis racquets, beach equipment, coolbox, wireless printer etc were also provided if you needed them. The Wifi was also good. There is a clubhouse with tennis courts and gym and pool available too although we did not make use of them. The area was fairly quiet and although we have always stayed at villas with spare plots either side the closeness of the neighbours was not a problem. The lake at the rear attracted some birds and I think possibly some turtles. As always a car is needed to get around Florida but everything was within a reasonable distance. There are some beautiful beaches nearby, plenty of shops (Northport, Port Charlotte, Sarasota & Venice). The I75 was only 5 minutes away so you can go north to Tampa, St Pete or south to Fort Myers, Naples etc. A friend of the owners was on hand for any issues, meeting us on our first full day and when we checked out. She was also kind enough to take in some parcels for us. The owners were friendly and helpful as were the people we met in the community.
