We stayed the weekend of 4th of July. This is a wonderful place, quiet and roomy. We had 10 people in our party and had plenty of room. The wildlife was amazing...we saw deer, raccoons, groundhog, and fox. The decks are great where we spent most of our time. This is a great and quiet spot for r & r. The owners were very accomadating with all request.. and just wanted to mention the beds were super comfy.:)

I am just returning from my fourth stay at Violet's Grove...will return in July for a long weekend. This has become a family tradition with us. This is country living at its best. The cove that Violet's Grove is nestled in is like having your very own private lake. We may see two or possible three other boats while doing various water activities. This is great if you like water sports such as wake boarding, skiing, tubing, etc. The fishing is good also. We caught a catfish that took three people to haul in and my son caught a gar (spelling??) that was quite large and gave him a good fight. The beds are very comfy, large TV with dish network, and a new porch. You will not be disappointed if you rent this home.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We loved Violet Grove..It is a wonderful place for family's. We had so much fun swimming from the Dock. And the lake was perfect for boating and tubing. The yard is huge. Lot's of room for outdoor games and picnics. I would recommend this place to everyone. We will for sure be back next year for a longer stay. Even thinking of a Fall stay. Thank you Violet Grove for a wonderful place.

Cheryl I am so glad that we found your place! It was a nice place with a beautiful view and so peaceful and tranquil. Sitting on the porch we saw deer and turkey. We really wanted to extend our vacation however we had to get back to the real world of work. Beds were very comfortable, unlike those in most rental homes! Thank you so much we will definately be back soon!!!

We rented the house for a long weekend during my husbands H.S. reunion. It was clean, well equiped plus it seems so far away from everything. We will be returning with our children for a week in the summer.

My family and I rented Fisherman's Paradise for a long weekend and came back today. (I wanted to add a comment before I forget everything.) We were a bit skeptical about renting this place at first because there weren't any pictures of the interior but we chanced it. And we were so glad we did. In fact, we would have stayed longer if our daughter didn't have a dr's appointment the following day. Beyond the gates to this home, is a winding road to a very LARGE private property. We almost didn't even realize there was anything behind those gates. In fact, we didn't even see the gates at first and thought we were conned into renting a place that didn't even exist. That's how secluded this place is. The house itself is a country home but with the conveniences of modern living. The decor is tasteful and everything is clean and neat. The owner even set up a crib for our 6 month old daughter. There's a path that leads to a fishing dock and it truly is paradise. The view of the lake against the foliage backdrop is breathtaking. The gentle breeze and sunny skies lulled my daughter to sleep while my husband, in-laws, and I sat in quiet peace waiting for fish to bite. There wasn't much biting going on but we still had alot of fun resting and relaxing at the Fisherman's Paradise. If you like being busy and meeting new people this may not be the ideal place. But if you want to get away from the huslte and bustle of the city life, this is it.
