This new home was featured on HGTV's "What You Get for the Money" (Episode 608 - November 25, 2007 .Nestled in the heart of Dauphin Island, the home is located less than half of a mile from the public beach and golf course, and just down the street from the bike trail. The home also backs up to Salt Creek, a quiet creek which is great for birding, fishing, or kayaking from the backyard!
Furnished in the latest island style, this home features a gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances and granite countertops, and luxurious bathrooms, one with dual showerheads and another with a deep soaking tub. Three bedrooms have direct private bath access. Upstairs you will enjoy the home theater/gameroom with air hockey/pool table. This also serves as the 4th bedroom, with a comfortable queen size sleeper sofa. Two twin futons in the upstairs sitting area sleep 2 more, for a total of sleeping 10 in beds.
The outside life is great on Dauphin Island, and you will enjoy the luxury of your own 12 x 20 fun pool (approx 4' deep), which is heated off season. Relax on the deck surrounding the pool, or in the shade of the many porches! Play basketball in the large driveway! See the many birds who frequent Salt Creek in the backyard. A short walk around the corner leads to Salt Creek park for the kids, and the public beach and fishing pier is also a short walk away.
