  Owners: Eduardo and Liz were super accommodating. They were quick to respond to my inquiry (only a week before travelling) and were so helpful and full of information and suggestions. They met us at the airport, and waited patiently as our flight was delayed over an hour. They escorted us to the apartment, provided us with a GPS, and showed us all we needed to know about the area, activities, and apartment. Location: Do not be deterred if you hear Loiza is a "dangerous place." The community is gated and guarded 24 hours. We drove around the area all hours of the day and evening with NO issues whatsoever. Tip: Renting a car is a must as there is no public transportation. We put some miles on that minivan and oh the fun we had! Property: The property is very well maintained; they mowed the lawn and cleared out the dumpsters almost every day. The pool area was impeccable and so close to the apartment, we could watch the kids from the front door. The apartment smelled fresh as soon as we walked in the door and came equipped with everything we needed. We shopped for groceries at Walmart and saved loads on breakfast and lunch meals we made right at "home." Things to do: Private beach is just a few steps away and owners provide you with beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler...you name it! Relaxing by the pool is always an option as they have adult pools & children's pools I bathed by baby in. We highly recommend going to El Yunque National Rainforest with the kids. You can pay for expensive tours, but the rangers in the park offer a very educational 2 hour tour for only $6 per person. We also did a horseback riding excursion with PR4Less that was way cheaper than the touristy ones on the beach. They even let my 6 year old have his own horse and made special accommodations for my 11 month old son. Tip: If you are doing the Bio Bay tour you should book in advance as we could not find any companies available when we arrived. Also, some places are not quite in full gear until first week in May, as this is when their "season" starts. Be sure to visit Old San Juan as you will definitely find great places to eat and different things to see. We went on a party boat and had drinks and danced the night away around the bay (we left the kids at home, but you have the option to bring them on board with you-under 6 are free). ~~ This was the most relaxing trip we have ever taken with the kids! (all boys ages 17, 10, 6, 1). Oh & PLEASE recycle @the apartment!

  I have a large family 2 adults and 5 kids and staying at Eduardo and Liz's condo was such a breath of fresh air for my family. Not only did they meet us to help navigate us to the place they provided us with a GPS of local eateries and attractions. I communicated with them throughout our trip for advice and tips. The condo was very clean and well stocked with everything you would need at your own home. It is comfortable and quiet and has a lovely view and breeze from the balcony overlooking the ocean. The condo complex is gated and secure and the security guards are friendly and helpful. My husband and I were so impressed with our stay that we actually started looking for property for sale within the complex and surrounding area. If you like to fish there are opportunities right outside your door. If you are looking for food and a fun atmosphere head down the road to Pinones and the boardwalk. The Fajardo ferry to the islands is only a short drive away as if El Yunque and San Juan so this place is pretty central to all. There are Walgreens and Walmarts all around if you need something. I will definitely recommend this place and if we can't find our own Malibu Condo I hope Eduardo and Liz are okay with having us back in the future for another visit!

  This place was perfect! The condo was immaculately clean. The ocean was literally in the backyard. The community is gated and we felt very secure. It is a relaxing place to stay. It is far enough from San Juan to provide a quiet and relaxing stay, yet close enough to take advantage of all of the wonderful experiences San Juan has to offer. Our son took advantage of the swimming pool several times. The owners went out of their way to accommodate us. The GPS they lent us was great. They provided places for shopping, attractions and some very nice places to eat. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to San Juan.

  We stayed here for 10 days and loved it a lot! Property was exactly as described by the owners, including the location, layout and amenities. It was very clean and well-maintained. The customer service was above our expectations. The owners (Eduardo and Liz) met us by the airport before 8am (and it was a Christmas day!) and escorted us to the place. They gave us GPS with programmed favorites like places to eat and shop around the area, which was very useful for us. There were cold beverages in the fridge, including a bottle of traditional Christmas drink. There were some Christmas decorations inside and outside of the apartment, and it made us feel at home right away. Eduardo sent us brochures about the area and we were able to plan our vacation before arriving to Loiza. We went to Old San Juan, did hiking at Rain Forest and took a snorkeling tour at Fajardo, but most of all we enjoyed just staying at the beach by the property or just sitting on balcony and enjoying the awesome view! We are planning to come back sometime, and would definitely recommend this place to our friends and relatives!

  For starters I will say that I own a timeshare and have stayed in many places, including the high-end Marriott time-shares, and I can truly say that I have never stayed in a place that is as fully equipped as this apartment! It is a second floor unit from which you can see and hear the ocean. I cannot begin to say how wonderful it was to spend the nights sitting on its huge balcony in that peace and tranquility listening to the waves crash on the shore. Now let me comment on the inside. First, there is air conditioning in every room, including the living room, and as if that was not enough, there are ceiling fans in every room, including the kitchen! Color, flat panel TVs in every room. The TV in the living room has a stereo speaker system also equipped to play you CDs and DVDs. Did I mention the WI FI? Comfortable beds to fit every size and number of people, king, doubles, twin and a double futon in the living room. The bathrooms were super clean and the kitchen fully equipped. Now let me go into details. Ever been renting for a week and have to shop for things such as salt, pepper, ketchup, oil, sugar, and all those daily life necessities which ultimately you know you will leave behind? Well, forget about all that! This place has everything, from toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent to water bottles in the fridge! No kidding! More towels that we could use, even beach towels! And even, the smaller beach chairs. There’s huge gas Bar B Q in the balcony and outdoor chairs to sit, definitely more than six people. The apartment complex is gated and there’s a guard 24 hours on service. The entire complex is immaculate clean and well-kept. As for the cleanliness of the apartment, the minute you open the door you smell the scent of clean. This apartment invites you in and the view captures and draws you immediately. The owners are wonderful, friendly people who gave us all sort of information and assistance to make our stay absolutely wonderful.

  Eduardo's place in Loiza is exactly what we were looking for, and more. Loiza is a great location. Within 30 miles we visited Old San Juan, hiked El Yunque, took a wonderful catamaran trip from Fajardo, found some great deals shopping at the outets right up the road, and ate at the kiosks in Luquillo and Pinones. The town of Loiza is a typical small Puerto Rican town and we found it to be charming, we never felt unsafe. The Malibu resort was the perfect size for us. It was clean, well maintained with nice pools, quiet, and very safe. We were glad we skipped staying at a big overpriced resort that is full of other tourists. The condo itself was just what we were hoping for. It has a gorgeous ocean front view from the patio. It is just a few steps from either the beach or pool. The beach is lovely, not too reefy. Eduardo is just great to work with. It was wonderful that he met us at the rental car to take us to the condo, and even had cold drinks waiting for us in the fridge. The condo is more fully stocked than any other rental home we have been to- towels, paper products, beach items, and tv and a/c in every room. We had no problems using the wifi. He even has speakers hooked up on the balcony so you can listen to music while watching the sunset over the ocean...until the sound of the coqui and the waves drifts you to sleep... A few words of advice when visiting Puerto Rico: the roads and other drivers can be a little crazy so be very careful driving there. Learn some Spanish, it comes in very handy. Forget about your low carb diet, go to any local bakery and get you some fresh pan de agua every day. Yum! Respect the alcoholic beverages here, they're pretty strong! So, go and stay at Eduardo's condo in Loiza. It was my family's favorite vacation yet.

  All around Summer Vacation My wife ,grandson,and myself went on vacation this summer. We selected a condo,that would provide fun,sun and beach area. We where fortunate to stay at Eduardo's condo. Eduardo provided us as we arrived with a nice care package of beverages, after a long flight that was a hit. Eduardo's condo had all the amenities as required for a great vacation. I could spend a lot of time covering what this condo and Eduardo offer in the land of paradise. My suggestion is that you check your and his calender and see it for yourself. We intend to do it again in the near future. Great vacation spot and a top 5 star rating for Eduardo and his place. Best, Angelo

  I stayed at Eduardo's apt with my family on our vacation. I must say Eduardo and his wife were extremely nice and helpful. From the beginning to the end. When we arrived he was very patient in meeting us at the car rental. We then followed him to the apt which is a gated community with 24hr security. The apt itself was excellent with all the amenities you can ask for. Big plus for us was the 2 bathrooms (being 8 in the apt) and the washer & dryer. its really just steps away from the beach. The only down size is that it really is a little ways away from the center of everything but it you don't mind the extra 20min drive its a great place to stay at.

  My family and I love the apartment in Loiza. It was beautiful, right on the beach.. great amenities( Equipment for the beach, BBQ, Sheets, Washer and dryer, Printer, Wireless internet). Apartment was very clean and spacious. The owner answered all of our questions and even provided us guides for fun adventures to do around the island. The apartment is in a gated community with security guard and has a nice pool(very quite community). Local area was fantastic with many places to find authentic spanish food.. :) We will definately rent this location again and refer many people.

Additional information about rental rates

Add a $60.00 cleaning fee to the total amount.

A $200.00 non refundable deposit is required to reserve the dates requested.

The rate will always depend on the length of the stay and the number of people in the group that must not be more than 6 persons.

Cancellation policy:

A nonrefundable deposit of $200.00 is required to block the dates on the calendar. The balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to check in day. If paid in full a 5% discount will be given. Check in time from 12 noon to 7:00 PM and check out time 12 noon but can be discussed. No rental for less than 3 nights. No more than 6 people in the apartment. Malibu Beach Apartments resident's rules must be followed.
