While Waimanalo Beach is like an island to itself, it is also easily connected to the famous Waikiki beach and resort town, for surfing lessons, movies on the beach and concerts in the Park. Just a 30 minute drive along the scenic eastern coast! Go the opposite direction 30 minutes and you are at Pearl Harbor via H3 Freeway or the airport, or the swap meet. A fun place to buy all your souvenirs at very reasonable prices. Try a chilled coconut drink, a unique taste that grows on you.
While in Waimanalo be sure to get up early and see the sunrise, a spectacular event! Full Moon, enjoy watching the Moon rise from the Sea, quite lovely. Try the Makapuu trail, out to the lighthouse for a Full Moon event or a sunrise walk and see the dolphins jumping at dawn on some days. They appear when They want to! Try the local Farmers market, right at the Waimanalo beach park on Thursday morning.

My family of 5 (4 adults & 1 infant) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beach house! The house was very comfortable, clean & in a quiet neighbourhood. We made full use of the kitchen, living room & beach amenities. We especially appreciated the extra effort made for our infant, including use of a pack & play and high chair. The Waimanalo beach & Oahu's east shore were the highlights of our visit. The spectacular Waimanalo beach was less than a 2 minute walk from the house. The house provided easy access to Haunama Bay, Kailua, the Polynesian Cultural Center, & the north shore. I'm recommending this place for any family seeking a comfortable accommodation near a quiet, gorgeous beach & many of Oahu's attractions. It's also very easy to visit Waikiki, Honolulu & Pearl Harbor.

We had a delightful stay at the Waimanalo Beach House. It was a complete "HIdden Treasure" just steps from the beach! I was pleasantly surprised the beach was just a one minute walk away! We enjoyed a HIdden Beach with Celestial Waters and White Sands. My favorite part of the home was looking out of the living room at the tropical oasis. I enjoyed sitting at the outside table, drinking my coffee and listening to the beautiful birds songs.The home was spacious, clean, bright, and welcoming. My daughter enjoyed her stay, and loved being so close to the beach. It was so convenient to come home for a nap. The whole family was just able to relax and unwind! I'm sad to be leaving and look forward to coming back. Thankyou for giving my family of five the Most Pleasant Hawaii Vacation. We hope to be back soon!

We stayed at the Waimanalo Beach house for two different weeks. Both weeks were great. The house is located a block from the beach and is within walkng distance of local grocery stores. The first time I traveled in a party of 2 people, the second time a party of 3 people. There were lots of coconuts when we were there in the front trees and we happened to be there when they were being removed a got a lot of fresh coconut milk! The kitchen was set up nicely so we could do all of our own cooking if we wanted. IYou can walk to the beach and then walk either direction down the beach, but you should have a car to get to places to eat and to buy groceries which requires a car. We stayed for a week both vacations. We went snorkeling and saw numerous colorful fish. We also saw turtles that swam with us in the bay. We had a great time and would recommend this quiet part of Oahu. It's much slower paced than Honolulu, which we liked very much.
Owner response:We are happy our guests enjoyed their stay, and the fresh coconut milk! Next trip come in July or August for Mango Season! There is nothing like a fresh mango milkshake, with mangos picked from the tree yourself...kids love to do this as do the parents! The most common question we are asked is "how far are you from the beach?" To clarify: We have a path to the beach just three houses away....about 200 feet or a 2-3 minute walk! This opens to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! Miles of beauty, turquois water, pine trees, and a mountain back drop. Distance to neighborhood stores is about 1/2 to 3/4 mile. Large stores 15 min drive.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

I loved staying at the Waimanalo Beach house with my 2 year old daughter and 4 year old son. The house was spacious and with brand new carpets and floors. There was a great new pack & play for my daughter to sleep in and plenty of room for the kids to play inside and outside. The kitchen was spacious and we enjoyed eating and preparing nearly all our meals at the Waimanalo Beach House. It was so nice that the kids had a separate room to sleep in. Most of all it was great to be out of the cold winter and having fun in the sun in Hawaii with my kids. We are already planning our trip to the Waimanalo Beach House for next year and plan on coming each winter. Enjoy.
