  We loved our stay at this cabin. The cabin was very clean,up to date, and very well maintained. Our experience in booking it with the owner was great. She always returned our calls or was available right away. The hot tub was such a treat. The view from it was beautiful. The pool table was a real asset when the rain came. The cabin was furnished with all the handy things a traveler would want. The price was right for all the extras that were with it. We were about 3 miles off the main street so it was a great place to go for relaxation after some of the busyness. We went horseback riding and go-carting which are only 3 miles away. We rode into the mountains to Laurel Falls and Cade's Cove which were very scenic and beautiful. We highly recommend this cabin. LOVED IT!!

  We stayed in Blue Skies over the recent Christmas holiday. The cabin, as I assume most are, is off the beaten path so finding it at night was a little daunting. When we arrived, the cabin was freezing and took about 24 hours to reach a reasonable tempurature but one could understand why the owners woundn't leave the heat running in anticipation of an arrival. It was just a little uncomfortabe and we had to double up on blankets. There was little to no cell reception and my husband is a business man and was losing it a little without his phone but we made due. The water didn't get quite as hot as we were used to and once someone takes a bath the hot water reserve is pretty much spent so bank on taking a cold shower. The grill was completely out of propane and we were kind of dissapointed about that. The walls are super thin and you can hear everything everywhere...EVERYTHING. Kathy doesn't charge a cleaning fee so cleaning up the cabin before you leave is probably a good idea. We tidied up but not to the expectations of the cleaning service so to avoid any miscommunication, make sure you get it spelled out. That being said, the cabin was in great condition when we arrived. There were plenty of games and activities already set up although our kids were a little small for them. The hot tub was hot and ready to go. The deck was awesome to sit and just take in the view even in the cold. The beds were comfortable. The cable channels in the living room were a bit wonky. Not a many channels as in the bedrooms but we hit up the redbox machine before we got there and had plenty of entertainment. The main strip was 5 minutes drive and there was a Walmart even closer that had everything we needed. There were brochures and coupons at our disposal for everythiing we could imagine to get into. It was perfectly fine just hanging out there enjoying not being home. All things considered, there was nothing that was annoying enough to ruin our holiday. It was an awesome price for what we received. We genuinely enjoyed ourselves and I would honestly receommend it to anyone. i just believe in full disclosure just in case any of the things I mentioned before are deal breakers to anyone else. It wasn't for us and we would definitely rent again! Thank you for sharing their family retreat with us!

  Owner response: Kietra- thank your for your detailed feedback. Yes, it can get chilly in the cabin if it has been empty a few days. However, we do keep the heat on continueously in the winter otherwise the pipes would freeze. We have never had a problem with the hot water. Current guest stayed 3 days and reported no problem with hot water. You you were given an excellent rate due to a cancellation, however, there is a cleaning fee and we require minimal steps prior to checking out. That is all clearly explained in the rental agreement prior to checking in. Nothing out of the norm. We have an excellent cleaning service as evident in previous reviews. Regarding cell service, sorry, but that's just part of vacationing in the mountains/wilderness. Verizon customers seem to get the best reception. Again thank you for your feedback. Sincerely, Kathy

  My husband and I and his brother and wife shared this cabin November 7 through 10 and had a wonderful time! The cabin is very nice and it is exactly as the photos show it. Two large bedrooms, each with it's own bathroom, make it very nice for couples staying together. The location was great because we were off the main drag and it only took us about ten minutes to get back to restaurants, shows, etc . Even though there are a lot of cabins in this resort, they are situated in a way that makes them feel private. The weather was so nice on Saturday, that we decided against going to Dollywood and hung out on the back porch all afternoon, and grilled dinner on the gas grill. Our favorite part of the loft gameroom was the pool table and the hot tub for 4 on the porch was nice on a chilly evening. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family & friends.

  We rented for two nights and had a wonderful stay. The cabin is the end of three units so it is very quiet with no neighbors to the left. Unobstructed views of the small valley - no roof tops to look at!!!. The cabin was very clean and included all the necessary kitchen items one would need to enjoy full-course meals. We enjoyed it and would definitely rent again.

  We just recently stayed at the Blue Skies cabin in the Bear Creek Crossing Resort for a week and was just as described, though it looked much nicer in person than the pictures. It was just as we had hoped - very pretty cabin, well supplied. The pictures did not show much of the view and so we were not sure what to expect, but discovered it to be in a beautiful setting near Bluff Mountain, and it was even 'misty' in the mountains there at times, which was awesome. Very peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The neighbors there were all friendly, too. It was a pretty close, easy drive out to the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, also. It was a very nice resort to stay in and we would consider staying there again. The kids even loved the game room up in the loft, and we loved sitting out on the deck relaxing and enjoying the scenery with our morning cup of coffee. The best part to us was getting visitors to our cabin one night - a bear and a family of raccoons! We were so excited! We all thought it was great to be able to see wildlife right outside our door (eating from our garbage, of course), but were easily scared off by a car coming through the resort. All in all, we had an awesome week and we were sad to have to leave! We wanted to bring the cabin home to our own property or build one like it someday, or maybe some day even think about moving to Tennessee after that... Our kids are already begging us to go back! Thanks for the memories!!!

  This cabin was beyond words, in fact my parents and my uncle loved this place so much that they would like to come back and stay at this place again. The serenity, around the cabin was breathtaking, it was close to the downtown Pigeon Forge, and not far from all the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg. I would highly recommend this cabin for families with kids. Kathy was excellent she is one good person I have met in my life, very helpful and responding to our calls.

  This was exactly what we needed. The cabin location was off the beaten path, but still not a far drive to the main parkway. I would hate to drive up the hill to the cabin in bad weather, but it was lovely spring/summer weather for us :) The cabin was beautiful! The pools were too cold for the kids to get into but the private hot tub was perfect for us to relax for a few. There are a ton of cabins in the resort, but from the back porch although you could see some cabins they were across some woods so it was still nice and peaceful, I think the back porch swing was my fav. place, just loved the birds in the am! The kids loved the upstairs loft, it was a place they could play and I felt they were safe. My inlaws travel a lot, and they said it was the best they’ve ever slept away from home. Loved it and would love to come back. Thank you for such a clean, restful, beautiful stay away from home!
