I took this trip with my wife, and two sons, ages 17 & 26. The accommodations were wonderful, it was great having all of the conveniences of home which came in handy because we decided to do some cooking after we found out how expensive the restaurants are. The view from the patio was breathtaking, and personally, I would have been happy just sitting on the patio with a cold Kalik beer the entire trip. There is no need for a car because the bus stops right outside of the complex and will take you into town for $1.25 each way per person. If you decide to go grocery shopping, shop at City Market, they have better quality items, and I thought they were easier to get to then the other market. It was such a pleasure doing business with the owner of Tranquility Nassau, he supplied us with such great information about the area which he included in the rental packet. He also made sure everything was to our satisfaction, and has a staff member near the unit in case there are any problems. The day before we left, we rented a Taxi for a half day and toured the island, this was well worth it. This trip was truly a trip to paradise. Thanks, Reid for sharing your home with us…..Rex.

Tranquility Nassau

Condo was just about perfect for our needs, lots of bathrooms. Twin beds in one room rather than all queens would be good. It was clean, well stocked. The only disappointment was the fact that the condo was not "beachfront" which was my misunderstanding. It was "oceanfront" and did have great sunset views from the back deck but the beach was across the street. The deck was not private. Neighbors on their deck, smoking smelly cigars which permeated the entire condo. The bedrooms & entire area were very quiet and we never felt unsafe. The beach was a disappointment, rocky and not raked on a daily basis. Quite a bit of seaweed, plastic bags and debris washed ashore each day. The person in charge of maintaining the property during our stay was helpful but actually came on Saturday, took the bedspread off and washed it while all of our things were still there. We were not leaving until Sunday and she actually had to move our personal belonging off of the bed to change it. When we asked why she said she had not checked her list and didn't realize we were there one more day. We received excellent customer service from the owner. Questions were answered in a timely manner and I would recommend this condo to others. The Poop Deck restaurant, close to the condo , was absolutely horrible and very overpriced. Used the jitneys every day and found them reliable and the drivers extremely friendly & helpful, as were most of the Bahamian people. We did the Bahamas Segway trip & the all day high speedboat excursion - both a lot of fun. We found the Bahamas to be very costly, however, especially at the restaurants and the grocery stores. The casinos need to pay out once in a while. No one seemed to be having any luck on the several occasions we went both to the Sheridan and Paradise Island. Do not use BahamasAir to get to the condo. Our flight going over was delayed an hour and a half and going home it was delayed over two hours with very little explanation as to why. Horrible customer service. Going home we were at the airport for seven hours for a 35 minute flight to Ft. Lauderdale!

Tranquility Nassau

To just open the hurrican shutters and see the most fabulous view made a long plane ride worthwhile. What a beautiful setting, many days spent on the deck watching and listing to the waves. The condo is excellent and transportation is a breeze. We are mentioning this unit to the rest of our family and look to return soon. Gary Minarik

Very nice townhome, very clean, very good communication from owner!! Great location, and great view of the sunset. People were very friendly. I was a little disappointed by the condition of the cookware.But other than that. It lived up to my expectations!!!

Awesome Family Vacation

We stayed for a week at Tranquility Nassau (not long enough though). The villa was beautiful, spacious, clean and had everything we could ask for. The views are spectacular and we enjoyed hanging out on the deck in the evening watching the sunsets. Our family had a great trip with excursions to Exuma Islands and the Dolphin Encounter on Blue Lagoon Island. Reid was so helpful answering all our questions ahead of time even the one about renting a car, which we did. It gave us freedom to come and go. I would highly recommend renting this property.

We(4 adults and 1 teenager) just returned from Tranquility Nassau, and it met all our expectations... The location was perfect in that it was away from downtown and all the cruise ships... We emailed Reid several times before choosing and he answered everyone of our questions... A great owner and very easy to work with... We are all scuba divers and Stuart Cove's dive shop picked us up every morning across the street, and then dropped us off right at the gate... We cooked most of our meals at the condo and everything worked just like at home... The showers put out good pressure and hot water worked great... All in all, it was just like being at home instead of a hotel room... You can't go wrong with choosing Tranquility Nassau!

April 10-17, 2010 Trip to the Bahamas

Tranquility at Delaporte Point was just as described. The view from the patio was breathtaking. My daughter found sand dollars snorkeling in front of the unit. The pools and their views were amazing! It was a great location - nice to come back to after spending a day at paradise Island, Stuart's cove, etc. My daughter needed to see a doctor and the well equipped walk in clinic was a short walk and included the medicine when you left. We spent a day at Blue Lagoon Island on the beach pass - this is where the sea lion and dolphin encounters take place. It was a beautiful set up with games and water toys, sand castle building competitions, and lunch was included. We visited Atlantis which is an experience not to be missed if you have children but it was wonderful to come back to Tranquility! I would definitely recommend this property.

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and had a very nice time. The beach is right out the front door, a two minute walk. I loved the view from the patio, and the sound of the surf was wonderful. If anyone stays here, you should definitely check the guest book in the house for recommendations on where to eat and other stuff to do, it was very helpful. We rented a car for the week, so are unable to give any feedback on the use of the buses, but having a car was certainly helpful for us because we have a 16 month old who would not have done as well waiting for, and riding on buses. All in all, a nice vacation. I would recommend it, especially given the value as compared to staying at a hotel.

Thank you for sharing your home with us. We loved coming back after a busy day of "doing" to relax on the porch with the lapping waves hitting the rocks and the beautiful sunsets. The house was well equipped and we enjoyed getting away from everyone. Had some trouble with the oven cooking evenly and within the correct time frame, but not sure if it was us or the oven. Other than that, we enjoyed our time there and would recommend this place to others. Thank you again for sharing your home. :o)
