    My family and I were delighted with the townhouse and the complex. It was even better than the photos. We spent many hours on the terrace listening to the sound of the ocean waves, it was very relaxing. The townhouse was very spacious and it was really nice to have televisions in each bedroom. We never felt crowded (four adults). The kitchen was well equipped and the selection of movies were great. Barbara was very helpful and provided useful information regarding restaurants and sights to see on the island. Hope to return next year. G. Hainsworth Toronto Canada

    Tranquility was the perfect introduction to the Bahamas. As soon as we walked in the door and saw the gorgeous turquoise water just beyond the patio, we were hooked. The unit itself was spacious, clean and well-appointed. I loved my top story bedroom hideaway and my cousin was equally happy with her 2nd story room with sliding doors out to a deck with table and chairs. Listening to the ocean rhythms each night outside our bedrooms was magical. It was great to have the kitchen to make leisurely breakfasts or to whip up some cocktails and appetizers in the early evening to enjoy on the patio (warning--it can be hard to tear yourself away from that patio!). We (two 50-something women) were easily able to enjoy our stay without a car. The jitneys were great during the day and we took a taxi home once in the evening after dining in Cable Beach. The grocery store is a short walk or jitney ride just down the road. It can be a little dicey to walk along parts of West Bay St. because there aren't many sidewalks, but it can be done. Keep your eyes open and check the road behind you often. We were impressed to see that after one rain storm when the water was pooling along the roadway, drivers actually slowed down so they wouldn't splash people who were walking along the road. After an afternoon visit to downtown Nassau, we counted our blessings at being able to leave the crowds behind and return to Tranquility. We checked out all of the big hotels when we ventured into Cable Beach and downtown and congratulated ourselves on making the choice we did. I loved being able to walk across the parking lot to swim and snorkel in the ocean and my cousin loved the pools. I wasn't brave (or nimble) enough to try and enter the water on the rocks directly behind Tranquility, but I was able to get there by swimming from the dock and was treated to a nice array of undersea life. (I would also recommend the Flying Cloud catamaran snorkeling trip. I did a half day excursion and loved it!) On Barbara's suggestion, we went to Nesbitts for dinner the first night of our stay. Great local food and ambiance. We really liked Spritz restaurant in Sandyport just across the bridge, and we dined there twice. Indigo in Cable Beach is also quite good. Two small details that we wondered about when we researched Tranquility--yes, there is a hair dryer and the wifi works great! I would definitely return to Tranquility. Thank you, Reid, for sharing this little piece of heaven.

    We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Tranquility. We spent a great deal of time at the small beach in front of the property. The townhome was excellent. There were five of us, and we had plenty of room. We rented a car and traveled to Cabbage Beach on Paradise Island a couple of times, and it's one of the best beaches anywhere. The water was great, and the sunsets off the terrace in the back were spectacular. We shopped a little downtown and did a few wedding things (we were there for my niece's wedding), but mostly just enjoyed the beaches and water. We loved Nassau, loved the townhome, and when we go back we will definitely stay here again.

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

    Am writing this review from the amazing patio that is directly on the ocean! We travelled with our 2 children (4 and 2) and my mother. The house is perfect: 2 balconies on the ocean, dream-like views, very clean, relaxed feel, everything we needed (playpen-beach toys), a bathroom off each bedroom, all the kitchen amenities. it is away, but not too-far away, from the horrible hustle of Nassau. The gated community is safe and friendly. The beach is maybe 50 steps from the house, and we could go back to the house 20 times a day is needed (with children). The supermarket is close by and suited our needs. There is a great family restaurant on the canal in the sandyport plaza 5 minutes on foot called Spritz's (burgers, pizza, pasta, etc)- cheaper than those close by. The buses (jitneys) stop right outside the gate and are the best way to travel, very handy. Things to know about the area: 1. the beach was not cleaned during our stay and so there were copious amounts of seaweed that we had to shovel away in order to find a place to sit. We ended up taking the jitney most days over to Saunders beach (10 minutes) where the beach is longer, cleaner, and there is a great park for little kids to play in. (As well, there seemed to be a microclimate over Delaport Point, it was cloudy almost everyday-unlucky?- but the rest of the island we could see in the distance was sunny, so we went elsewhere for some rays and had beautiful weather!) 2. if you are a walker-jogger, there is no real place to enjoy walks in the immediate area. The beach is maybe 200m long and the roads outside of the community have no sidewalks and are a little dodgy to walk on. Alternatives: a fitness club is a 2 minutes walk away and really great, and you can take the jitney to surrounding beaches closer to Nassau for more sidewalks, walkways, longer beaches. 3. The 2 pools are gorgeous and clean, but glacial, and much colder than the ocean (february) We have rented houses around the world and would definitely recommend this one to friends! The onwer was efficicient, reliable and great in answering questions by email ahead of time so we could plan.

    Condo was just about perfect for our needs, lots of bathrooms. Twin beds in one room rather than all queens would be good. It was clean, well stocked. The only disappointment was the fact that the condo was not "beachfront" which was my misunderstanding. It was "oceanfront" and did have great sunset views from the back deck but the beach was across the street. The deck was not private. Neighbors on their deck, smoking smelly cigars which permeated the entire condo. The bedrooms & entire area were very quiet and we never felt unsafe. The beach was a disappointment, rocky and not raked on a daily basis. Quite a bit of seaweed, plastic bags and debris washed ashore each day. The person in charge of maintaining the property during our stay was helpful but actually came on Saturday, took the bedspread off and washed it while all of our things were still there. We were not leaving until Sunday and she actually had to move our personal belonging off of the bed to change it. When we asked why she said she had not checked her list and didn't realize we were there one more day. We received excellent customer service from the owner. Questions were answered in a timely manner and I would recommend this condo to others. The Poop Deck restaurant, close to the condo , was absolutely horrible and very overpriced. Used the jitneys every day and found them reliable and the drivers extremely friendly & helpful, as were most of the Bahamian people. We did the Bahamas Segway trip & the all day high speedboat excursion - both a lot of fun. We found the Bahamas to be very costly, however, especially at the restaurants and the grocery stores. The casinos need to pay out once in a while. No one seemed to be having any luck on the several occasions we went both to the Sheridan and Paradise Island. Do not use BahamasAir to get to the condo. Our flight going over was delayed an hour and a half and going home it was delayed over two hours with very little explanation as to why. Horrible customer service. Going home we were at the airport for seven hours for a 35 minute flight to Ft. Lauderdale!

    To just open the hurrican shutters and see the most fabulous view made a long plane ride worthwhile. What a beautiful setting, many days spent on the deck watching and listing to the waves. The condo is excellent and transportation is a breeze. We are mentioning this unit to the rest of our family and look to return soon. Gary Minarik

    Very nice townhome, very clean, very good communication from owner!! Great location, and great view of the sunset. People were very friendly. I was a little disappointed by the condition of the cookware.But other than that. It lived up to my expectations!!!

    We stayed for a week at Tranquility Nassau (not long enough though). The villa was beautiful, spacious, clean and had everything we could ask for. The views are spectacular and we enjoyed hanging out on the deck in the evening watching the sunsets. Our family had a great trip with excursions to Exuma Islands and the Dolphin Encounter on Blue Lagoon Island. Reid was so helpful answering all our questions ahead of time even the one about renting a car, which we did. It gave us freedom to come and go. I would highly recommend renting this property.

    We(4 adults and 1 teenager) just returned from Tranquility Nassau, and it met all our expectations... The location was perfect in that it was away from downtown and all the cruise ships... We emailed Reid several times before choosing and he answered everyone of our questions... A great owner and very easy to work with... We are all scuba divers and Stuart Cove's dive shop picked us up every morning across the street, and then dropped us off right at the gate... We cooked most of our meals at the condo and everything worked just like at home... The showers put out good pressure and hot water worked great... All in all, it was just like being at home instead of a hotel room... You can't go wrong with choosing Tranquility Nassau!

    Tranquility at Delaporte Point was just as described. The view from the patio was breathtaking. My daughter found sand dollars snorkeling in front of the unit. The pools and their views were amazing! It was a great location - nice to come back to after spending a day at paradise Island, Stuart's cove, etc. My daughter needed to see a doctor and the well equipped walk in clinic was a short walk and included the medicine when you left. We spent a day at Blue Lagoon Island on the beach pass - this is where the sea lion and dolphin encounters take place. It was a beautiful set up with games and water toys, sand castle building competitions, and lunch was included. We visited Atlantis which is an experience not to be missed if you have children but it was wonderful to come back to Tranquility! I would definitely recommend this property.

    We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and had a very nice time. The beach is right out the front door, a two minute walk. I loved the view from the patio, and the sound of the surf was wonderful. If anyone stays here, you should definitely check the guest book in the house for recommendations on where to eat and other stuff to do, it was very helpful. We rented a car for the week, so are unable to give any feedback on the use of the buses, but having a car was certainly helpful for us because we have a 16 month old who would not have done as well waiting for, and riding on buses. All in all, a nice vacation. I would recommend it, especially given the value as compared to staying at a hotel.

    I took this trip with my wife, and two sons, ages 17 & 26. The accommodations were wonderful, it was great having all of the conveniences of home which came in handy because we decided to do some cooking after we found out how expensive the restaurants are. The view from the patio was breathtaking, and personally, I would have been happy just sitting on the patio with a cold Kalik beer the entire trip. There is no need for a car because the bus stops right outside of the complex and will take you into town for $1.25 each way per person. If you decide to go grocery shopping, shop at City Market, they have better quality items, and I thought they were easier to get to then the other market. It was such a pleasure doing business with the owner of Tranquility Nassau, he supplied us with such great information about the area which he included in the rental packet. He also made sure everything was to our satisfaction, and has a staff member near the unit in case there are any problems. The day before we left, we rented a Taxi for a half day and toured the island, this was well worth it. This trip was truly a trip to paradise. Thanks, Reid for sharing your home with us…..Rex.

    Thank you for sharing your home with us. We loved coming back after a busy day of "doing" to relax on the porch with the lapping waves hitting the rocks and the beautiful sunsets. The house was well equipped and we enjoyed getting away from everyone. Had some trouble with the oven cooking evenly and within the correct time frame, but not sure if it was us or the oven. Other than that, we enjoyed our time there and would recommend this place to others. Thank you again for sharing your home. :o)

    This is a lovely, clean, spacious and bright home that is ideal for any family spending time in the Bahamas. The bedroom views are breathtaking, the facilities and amenities are wonderful, and the location is great. The property manager is extremely pleasant as are the owners. I would gladly return.

    Our family of FIVE thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations that Tranquility Nassau had to offer. The ocean views and sunsets were amazing from the townhouse. Our three children were very comfortable and always kept busy with the beaches and the pools on the premises.There is no other way to stay in Nassau than in your very own townhouse. We rented a jeep for the week, we toured the island, visited Paradise Island’s and went on several snorkel trips...(Flying Cloud is the BEST!). We felt very safe in the gated community, the neighbors were so friendly and helpful. What a perfect location, short drive to Cable Beach, The Fish Fry, Straw Market, yet far enough that when you got “home” it was just you and the Ocean, very quiet and “Tranquil” We all enjoyed our vacation in Nassau and when we come back we will surely stay in Tranquility Nassau again!

    We were traveling with a 20 month old and knew that a hotel room, regardless of the luxury status, would prove confining. We opted for a townhouse and were not disappointed. Tranquility Nassau was just a lovely place, one that we would happily return to in the future. It was immaculate, very well furnished and equipped for a toddler. Our son would collapse every night from sheer exhaustion from the fun he had at the two nearby pools and beach. Tranquility Nassau was just a lovely place, one that we would happily return to in the future. It was immaculate, very well furnished and equipped for a toddler.     Tranquility Nassau was perfect for us. The location, the gorgeous scenery, the water, the weather- we definitely want to come back. The townhouse was so beautiful and comfortable. We snorkeled, saw beautiful sunsets from the patio, walked to dinner a few times and generally just basked in the sun- something we don't usually get to do in late November. There is nothing like the blue of the Caribbean to soothe you; we can't wait to return to Tranquility Nassau.

    Your condo was absolutely beautiful. We stayed there for a week in August and I can honestly say we have never stayed at a better place.     We had a great time in Nassau at Tranquility. We couldn't have asked for a better setting with the snorkeling out the back door, a beach out the front door and two very clean pools. We woke up every morning to the sound of waves agains the rocks. There were very nice restaurants in the immediate area and anything else you could want within a 20 minute drive. We had a wonderful family vacation!!

    Tranquility Nassau was perfect for us. The location, the gorgeous scenery, the water, the weather- we definitely want to come back. The townhouse was so beautiful and comfortable. We snorkeled, saw beautiful sunsets from the patio, walked to dinner a few times and generally just basked in the sun- something we don't usually get to do in late November. There is nothing like the blue of the Caribbean to soothe you; we can't wait to return to Tranquility Nassau.

    I am sorry it has taken so long to add to the address book (maybe I do not want other people to find this paradise!)We stayed at Tranquility 8/28/05 - 9/4/05, it was the most wonderful break for all of us.     We had a great time!! Tranquility was convenient to all of the popular tourist areas but surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The townhouse was wonderful. The pictures don't do it justice!! Can't wait to go back...The Hamel family. Sudbury,Ontario, Canada.

    my daughter and i visited nassau for the first time for 10 days in May, 2005. We had a great time. The condo was very nice and clean and well equipped. I enjoy hearing the ocean waves at night and this was the perfect place. since there were only the two of us, we only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms. my daughter occupied the third floor bedroom and i took the master bedroom on second floor.     We (two parents, two kids (ages 9 and 6) and two grandparents) had a wonderful week at your townhouse. It is a treasure and hope that everyone will enjoy the beautiful snorkeling in "the backyard" and take care of the reef. The interior we likened to an art museum and enjoyed the works on the walls. Had we known there was fast speed internet access available, we would have brought a computer too. However, it was wonderful to be away from it all. With three floors having two decks that overlook the ocean and reef at your feet, all while quiet, nice neighbors are around, it truely is tranquil. Enjoyed the two pools two and the little white house down and across the street has some delicious meals too. Oh, and the Jitnes are so much fun to get to know the local culture and get around. Thank you very much. We hope to return someday. Take care of it.

    We had a great time. The unit was clean and bright. The weather was fantastic. Everything we need was there to use. Was plenty big for 6 people. Swimming and grounds were great. Saw 2 Stingrays in the water by the pool area that was a plus. Would go back again in the future.
