We have been married over 27 years. Two great kids and one grandchild. Kauai is our favorite island. Lots of beaches and not a lot of people to share them with. We visit Kauai every year and continue to find great things to see and do.
Why the Owner Chose Prince Kuhio Resort
It turned out that our location was better than we thought it would be. Very quite! Fantastic sunsets and snorkeling just across the street. Famous beaches just a couple of minutes away. Golfing close by along with almost perfect weather just can't be beat.

BEAUTIFUL, QUIET, A MUST STAY

My fiancee and I came to this condo for our honeymoon, and it was more than we could have asked for. The price was excellent for the particular condo. Great amenities, and was so nice to have a full kitchen and not have to eat out every meal. Their would have to be a tie concerning the greatest part of the condo, The view and the bed. Both were amazing and made the stay that much better. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place with close beaches and amazing views this would be a great choice. We are planning on going back in the near future.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We LOVED staying here for 8 days during our first visit to Kauai & will check for its availability when we return. It's located on the south shore near the resorts at Poipu where the best beaches are. The unit is very clean & very well maintained. Everything you could need is provided - beach towels, chairs, coolers, etc. We appreciated the full kitchen & usually had breakfast & dinner here. Lunches were usually picked up while we were out exploring. There is great snorkeling & sunset viewing just across the street. Spouting Horn is just down the road which is fun to watch & where sea turtles hang out. The renowned Allerton Gardens are also nearby. Allerton is one of three National Tropical Botanical Gardens on Kauai, and one of five in the US. The garden has the world's largest collection of native Hawaiian flora, many of them rare and endangered. This unit made a great base for our trips exploring the island. Waimea Canyon & Polihale Beach on the west shore are easily reached from here. There is construction in the area but we were never bothered by any noise from it while sleeping or enjoying the facilities of the property. We'd stay here again in an instant!!!

This condo met my needs, however for the price it was underwhelming. It's in an older building on the 3rd floor with no elevator. The lighting stays dark until late afternoon, when the sun comes in. If silence is what you're after, look elsewhere. There's construction going on Monday-Saturday starting at 7:00 am (it does end by 5:00 PM). The bathtub is very small, child sized, not suitable for an average size adult. There is no washer and dryer in the unit. The bed is very comfortable and large enough for two people. If lighting, bathing, noise and laundry are not an issue, then the condo is suitable.
Owner response:We take comments very seriously and work to remedy them when possible for our future guests. We have made many changes to our unit based on feedback. We acknowledge the bathtub is not full size. The complex does not allow washer and dryer in any of the units. The laundry room is on the main floor. South Kauai has some construction taking place. One of those projects (golf course and million dollar homes) is on the hillside up the hill from our condo and on the other side of the resort next to us. We have been in contact with the management company about the noise and no other guests have reported loud construction noise. Also none of our comment sheets have noted any problems with noise. In fact, our comment sheets have noted how quite the complex is. As for the older building, it was built in the early 70's with no elevator. As for the lighting, the sun does rise on the other side of the building from our unit. We also installed new windows that have a deep tint that reduces the amount of light coming in when the windows are closed. The original windows had no tinting. We have changed the pictures to show the new windows and the deeper tinting.
