Located Rue Michel Lecomte in a 15th century building on the 2nd floor, this just renovated apartment is approx. 440 sq/ft with high ceiling, 3 tall windows overlooking a beautiful and quiet courtyard.
The apartment is furnished with a king size bed, bar table & chairs, flat screen TV. In the kitchen there are two cooking plates, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, dish-washer, wine glasses and all cooking utensils.
Originally built in the 15th century the Hostel of the Bear and the Lion, was converted into a mansion during the 16th century by the Lords of Rocquencourt, then in the 17th century it was the house of King Henry IV intendant of finances.

Location, location, location. On a quiet street in the Marais, half a block to the Rambuteau metro station, every food store needed just around the corner on rue Rambuteau and an apartment facing the inner courtyard so that it's bright yet quiet. Generally our requirements are simple: large comfortable bed, quiet room, clean, plumbing that works and with sunlight. This apartment had it all. Very simple, but everything we needed. Huge windows, super high ceilings, the room was much larger than expected. Kitchen had everything we could want, internet was fine. And Yael was wonderful. Our flight was delayed so we arrived a day late... not a problem. We were given the keys and that was it. We chose to pay the refundable cleaning charge... which was returned literally hours after we checked out. This was a lovely, comfortable apartment, conveniently located near shops, museums and Metro stations. It was sunny, well-maintained, clean, and had all dishes and utensils we needed for our meals in. This is the second time we have rented from David and Yael and we plan to rent again. They are extremely quick and responsive to all communications. Overall a pleasure to work with. The apartment is very clean and functional . It has a nice kitchen, decent size bath (shower only) and is quiet. It is a great location that is very close to a Metro stop and many other places near the 3rd and 4th. Looking forward to a return visit soon.Owner response: Hi Robert & Amy ! Thank a Lot !!!!! Lovely old world building (three sets of large windows that open to the quiet courtyard below and very high ceilings). The interior was recently (and tastefully) renovated with contemporary minimalist finishes and furnishings. Well situated on a short narrow street on the edge of the Marais, very close to the Pompidou. The street is quiet during the day but has some late night bar activity that can be heard through the open windows until the wee hours. Good shower. Comfortable bed. Very easy walk up. Excellent assistance from our hosts who helped us pull together the last minute rental only a day or two before our arrival. Our only complaint was the erratic (and frequently unavailable) wireless internet service.Owner response: It was a pleasure to meeting you ! We hope see you a next time in Paris ! Now the network Internet Wifi works very well ,we have put in place a new system, connection is exellent.
