LA TROUVAILLE (The Lucky Find) is an 18th century stone village house, wonderfully renovated with all modern conveniences. The house has two bedrooms, a bathroom with tub and shower, a separate toilet, living room, dining room, equipped kitchen, loggia/porch and private courtyard with and outdoor kitchen and swimming pool.
The house is in the small, picturesque village of Sanilhac, which is 20 kilometres north of Nîmes and 35 kilometres west of Avignon. The village has two restaurants, boulangerie/tea room, and a wine co-op all within a short walk. A large supermarket is less than ten minutes away.
It is a ten minute drive to the fairly large, wonderfully artsy village of Uzes, which has all shops and services, a twice-weekly open market and plentiful festivals and events year-round.
It is a 15 minute drive to the Pont du Gard, and if you do not feel like driving anywhere, there are gorgeous hiking trails to the Gardon river valley, within a five minute walk of the front door. The next village over, Collias, has kayak rentals etc. for river sports and there are wonderful caverns, mountains (Cevennes), and a famous Bamboo Garden all within a 30 minute drive. For the ambitious, Barcelona and Genoa are about three to four hours on the highways.
