Keywords: Log Cabin
Come and get away from it all at Mountain Peek cabin. This chalet-type cabin with two story plus ceilings and exposed beams gives a very open, inviting feeling. Large floor to ceiling windows take in the breath-taking year round views of the mountains. Located on a ridge, watch the sun come up on the back deck, or a seasonal view of sunset from points of the cabin.
Everything is provided...just pack some groceries and a toothbrush. All the conveniences of your own home...plus DVD player. A library of movies and books will keep you entertained, as well. Two queen sized beds sleep four comfortably, plus two sleeper sofas, one in the additional loft, off from the second bedroom upstairs, allows sleeping for a maximum of eight.
This charming community is only 90 minutes from Atlanta, highway all the way, until you come to Sisson's Cherry Log. Drive over the covered bridge, the railroad tracks (and be sure to take the train ride to McCaysville, too) and then you're only five minutes up the mountain to the cabin.
Be sure and check out the five lakes found in the community and lots of hiking opportunities, just a short walk from the front door. Also enjoy the restaurants, shopping, theatre, rafting, biking, etc., all just minutes in either direction of the cabin.
We look forward to having you and yours at Mountain Peek.

We had a long weekend at the cabin, location, view from cabin was good. Few things I want to mention for future guests: the beds were very uncomfortable, we had a back pain after sleeping all 3 nights, also the linens were all in delipidated stages. I would wash or change the mats on the dining table also. So over all I would rate this cabin as 3 star.
Owner response:Thank you for visiting Mountain Peek Cabin in the Blue Ridge area of the North Georgia Mountains. We are so very happy to share our mountain getaway with visitors from Florida, New York, Louisiana, Illinois, Germany (!), and points in between and beyond. Most of our inquiries come from VRBO.com and Home Away.com....and would definitely recommend them to other home owners who are looking to set up a rental program. I'm glad you all were able to enjoy our wonderful mountain views. THAT's what its all about in my opinion when I travel to the cabin. I pull out my binoculars (which are available for renters too) and look for wildlife, deer, birds, etc...especially in the mornings with coffee. Also, we enjoy going into town and walking through the antique shops and furniture stores as well. We found the rustic split log bed (which is brand new by the way) at a local merchants....It really sets the tone for a quaint log cabin in the mountains. As you will see, looking at all the reviews, we have had many(many)happy renters over the years and several returns as well. Your comfort and satisfaction is our utmost concern. Hope to see you again on the books in the future!

Wow! What a way to spend a honeymoon! After getting lost in the mountains after midnight Saturday, we finally arrived at Mountain Peek. Didn't see much upon arrival, but after sleeping half the day away on Sunday we were able to see the beautiful view. This not being my first time in the Blue Ridge area, I knew my way around town. We spent time driving around on Sunday and enjoyed the jacuzzi. Loved the fireplace....so cozy. Monday we had a big breakfast and then took a walk. We did not meet Fred the dog or see a bear. Althouhg I wanted to do both. We went shopping and some more sight seeing...and then rested on the porch and in jacuzzi one last time. Thank you for letting us spend our honeymoon here.

Thank you for a lovely stay at your cabin. We have often stayed in the mountains after our week on the beach in South Carolina. This year we opted to stay on both sides of that week. What a great idea! We were able to relax but stays and explore at our leisure. We tubed the Toccoa (highly recommend) and did a Zip Line (lots of fun but expensive!)

We had a nice time and sure enjoyed the cool air in the 70's after sweltering in the 90+ degree weather in Atlanta. Quiet and peaceful, and the cabin had everything we needed.

It was so relaxing and beautiful! Lovely long walks, the hot tub and fireplace....everything was so perfect. Hadn't seen the mountains in a few years, so I just loved that. Thanks so much for the wonderful place to come with my family and celebrate our 8th Anniversary. This was better than our honeymoon....Thanks from us all!
