The Big Island is so different then Maui and more affordable for oceanfront property so we wanted a place there for retirement. My husband, I and our two teenage daughters had a great stay at this fabulous condo. The condo is roomy, clean, modern, and well equipped with nice furniture, WiFi, AC, and washer/dryer. The beds were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the oceanview while hanging out on the lanai. The grounds and pools are nicely landscaped and maintained. We hung out on the little oceanfront beach and also enjoyed the common patio. The complex is well situated - close to town and restaurants but far enough away from all the action. Its also close to Kahaluu Beach Park which was great for snorkeling and surfing lesson. We highly recommend this rental. We'll be back!

The condo was very comfortable and actually furnished better than most people's homes. More than enough room for a family of four. We enjoyed the ocean front location, and having both a fresh and salt water pool added to the uniqueness of this property. The common patio area has several gas grills for those BBQ nights. Close enough to town to be convenient; far enough from town to be quiet. The location is a great base of operation allow to cover most of the Big Island on a day trip. The owners are a real pleasure to to work with, and the condo reflects their passion -- " Mi casa es su casa!". The next time we are on the Kona coast, we'll be sure to return.

Four years ago I took my young family on a month long vacation to Hawaii after having served a year in Iraq. We stayed in Casa de Emdeko and fell in love with the place. We loved it so much that we have been planning on taking others there as well to share the experience with them. However, this time we decided to get a little bit bigger of a place and set out to VRBO.com to find a new "home" for our week long trip. This place had to be a special place, because we were taking my wife's folks as a thank you gift. When I first contacted the owner about the place I knew right away that this process was going to be smooth and easy. She called us the very next day and told us about everything that was going on around the island and answered the questions that we had. Jacked up from all of the tips she gave us all that was left was to plan out the other details. Once we got to the unit I was completely floored by how amazing it actually was (the pictures are great, but do not do it justice). Tons of space, a great kitchen (a plus because eating out every night can be expensive), two large rooms, two large bathrooms, and a deck/view to die for. Every morning/evening we were able to watch the sun go out/down from the comfort of our own little slice of paradise. In the evenings we went down to the water front to watch one of the residents feed some eels that made their way with the waves. Our little boy loved the salt water pool, where he could "open my eyes without them hurting," our in-laws loved the flowers and birds, and we loved the price! Perfect paradise vacation with a very reasonable price; you have to stay here!!!

Mahalo to the Grimes Family for allowing us to share their beautiful Casa!! We were there 7/72010-7/14/2010 and have to say we did not waste one moment. Casa is a fabulous destination and allows you to relax and enjoy the beauty that is Kona. Touching every sense. Coffee on the lanai or a simple BBQ dinner for two listening to the waves crash. Casa is a perfect part of paradise!! The people visiting and the crew lucky enough to work there were wonderful!! Close to shopping and restaurants and beautiful beaches!! The pools are amazing and we made sure we used every ammentiy available!! It was the most spectacular vacation we have ever experienced. Our daughter, after looking at pictures wants to go now for her "Sweet 16"!! We will be more than happy to accomadate her wishes and return to our little piece of paradise!! Vicky was amazing...I think she was equally as excited as we were. Her suggestions and guidance added to our enjoyment plus the ease of talking to her made it all the better. We had the most wonderful relaxing vacation this past September and we owe it to the comfortable, beautiful home that Tom & Vickie Grimes have created. The complex is quiet and lush with great BBQs, pools and fabulous sunsets. It was much more fun to BBQ fresh fish and watch the sunset while relaxing with a glass of wine than bother finding a restaurant each evening. We will be back next year!
