Year Purchased: 2006
Gary & Evelyn Haber are the owner managers of Villa Sombrero. Gary is a native Floridian who loves Boating, scuba diving, fishing and most outdoor activities. Gary is a semi-retired real estate manager and Evelyn is a retired school teacher.
We have traveled the keys by boat and car all our lives and finally purchased a beautiful home that we enjoy sharing with other families.
Why the Owner Chose Marathon
We purchased Villa Sombrero due to its superior location. The Villa overlooks Boot Key Harbor with its beautiful sunsets to the West and refreshing breezes from the East that travel down Sisters Creek, a natural waterway that leads to great diving and fishing grounds of the Atlantic.
Across Sisters Creek there is a natural preserve and no neighbors. It is private, exclusive and a great destinantion.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The benefits of staying at Villa Sombrero are many. The property is quiet, wildlife visits frequently. Dolphins, manatee, tarpon, Egrits, Eguanas, you name it it visits. The pool is large and views are unbeatable. We are only 50 minutes from key West and there are many fun restaurants and bars close by. Grocery shopping is close without paying the high prices of many less populated areas in the Keys.
