Visiting Glacier, this is the perfect place to stay. Location is ideal, the cabin is cozy, comfortable & is equipped with everything you will need. Screened porch provides a relaxing spot to unwind after a day on the trail. Owner makes you feel welcome by offering helpful suggestions, recommendations and advice, if needed. The wonderful cabin made for a great vacation!

3 of us stayed at this cabin from 8/13-8/20 2011. It was a great place to stay. The location was perfect for all of our adventures and the screened in front porch was a great place to relax each evening. This was our first time using VRBO. Chuck (owner) and Greg (caretaker) made the process very easy. The information they provided us before our arrival helped tremendously in planning our week. I guess the best way to recommend this cabin is to say that we would definitely stay here again. It gave that "home away from home" feeling to our week in Glacier.

This was our family's first experience with VRBO and I must say it was FANTASTIC! Although at capacity as far as sleeping arrangements go (my wife and I plus our four adult "children", ages 21-30), we were comfortable and found the cabin to be an excellent "base camp" for our first adventure to Glacier National Park. As far as all of the positive comments already made by others here, all I can say is "I second it!" The screened in porch was probably the single favorite feature among the six of us. Over the course of our week, I believe we used everything the cabin had to offer, from the coffee maker to the gas grill, and nothing disappointed. All in all, it helped maked out visit to Glacier a memorable one.

Our annual "Girls Week in Montana" was made perfect because we chose this cabin in West Glacier. We represented a wide age range (five of us from 11 to 65) and were all thrilled with the accommodations (used the two double beds in the two bedrooms and the futon in the living room.) We felt so prepared because of owner Chuck Ensign's considerate and helpful information sent to us before our arrival and for how easily he made the reservation process. We saw wildlife from our cabin windows, barbequed on the patio, and loved the sun porch for reading and relaxing. Two evenings we drove the 30 minutes to Big Fork Summer Playhouse (saw Happy Days and My Fair Lady) for their excellent productions. We loved eating at both Pocketstone and La Provence. We were there in late June and the Road to the Sun was still closed at Logan Pass so one day we drove the long way to East Glacier and it was totally worth the 2 hour ride -- we saw 2 Grizzleys and loved our visit to Many Lodge. The Red Bus tour, the boat ride on Lake McDonald, 3 different Black Bear sitings, and horse trail rides in the park stand out as highlights of our holiday. We went to a park naturalist talk each night at a different campground and even made 'smores at Fish Creek camp one evening. Without the perfect location (1 mile from the entrance) we would not have been able to have quick day and evening access to the most amazing national park. Thank you to Chuck and his family for a wonderful family reunion!

Our family (myself, husband, and 10 and 8 year old) stayed at this cabin for 4 nights in early August 2010. I have to agree with the previous poster that Chuck, the owner, was wonderful. He sent us a packet of information on the park, favorite hikes, restaurants that was as invaluable as any guidebook or website. Don't miss the Park Cafe! I also highly recommend the Avalanche Lake and Hidden Lake Overlook hikes. The cabin was incredibly relaxing after a day of hiking (love the screened in porch!), and having a washer/dryer readily available was great. The kitchen was well stocked, and we were able to easily prepare most meals at the cabin. Really everything we needed was provided-from indoor/outdoor towels to laundry detergent. The library on Glacier that the owners have assembled in the living room was an excellent resource. To top it all off, you are less than 5 minutes from the West Entrance! In my opinion, the west side of the park really is the jewel in the crown of Glacier. We easily were able to leave at 7:45 to make 8 pm campground talks. For comfort and convenience during a visit to Glacier, this cabin can't be beat!

We stayed at this cabin in West Glacier just after Memorial Day 2010 and had a fantastic time. The cabin is in great condition, spacious with a fully stocked kitchen, and very comfortable bedrooms. I traveled with my retired mother of 81 years and she loved it as well. There were several mornings where we watched deer and elk from the kitchen window. The location to the park was as good as one could get, very close to the West Glacier entrance, literally within 5 minutes from the cabin. The freight trains run pretty constantly through West Glacier, however, the cabin is set back at least a 1/2 mile from any tracks and the trees and large logs used to build the cabin really made train noise a non issue - even for my mother who is a very light sleeper. Finally, I'd like to say that the cabin owner was a pleasure to work with. He was very communicative and answered every question we had in wonderful, complete and timely fashion. I've rented many homes through VRBO and I have to say Chuck has been the best to work with period. If you are thinking about a cabin near Glacier, don't look any further. This is the one.

We vacationed at this cabin in August of 2009--. It was a great place to stay. We were very close to the park and was so nice to be able to cook our meals in the well-equipped kitchen. The owner provided a ton of very useful information about where to shop, eat and hike.

It is without hesitation that I recommend this property to anyone considering staying in the West Glacier area. I stayed here with my family of five in July '09 and found the location unbeatable with a quick drive to the West Glacier National Park entrance. The cabin was a great home base in which to explore the park. It is well appointed with everything you will need, is comfortable and has a great screened in porch in which to relax at the end of the day. The owner has left his guests with a library of all things Glacier, and even was kind enough to make hiking, dining, grocery, day trip, etc. recommendations leaving us feeling like we had the 'local insight' on the area.

We could not have asked for a better home for our visit to Glacier. The cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the location to the West Park entrance is awesome. We especially enjoyed our relaxing mornings and evenings on the screened-in porch! We HIGHLY recommend this cabin.

We had an amazing time at this wonderful cabin just outside West Glacier and the National Park entrance in the Summer 2008. The cabin has every amentity needed to make a trip to Glacier a memorable vacation. The cabin is in tip-top shape, is roomy and bright, has an home-like feeling, and the location is unbeatable. Located just a couple minutes from West Glacier's conveniences as well as the park entrance. The owner has left personal touches and the property manager takes care of all your needs. After a long day at Glacier Park, it was a pleasure coming back to the cabin and making dinner and enjoying the sights and sounds from the screened-in porch. Don't waste your time or money on hotels/motels. This is the true Glacier experience! Thanks and we'll be back soon!
