No expense was spared in the construction of this 3500 square foot lodge. The spacious ski chalet design allows for excellent entertaining in the great room, loft, lower level great room, and pool room, while providing private rooms for up to five couples. The spectacular main great room has vaulted ceilings, a wall of windows, and a two story stone gas fireplace. A welcoming covered front porch and a magnificent two level rear deck complete with a hot tub facing the slopes will provide you with plenty of room to admire the ski slopes, the kettle and the Shenandoah valley beyond.
Grey Rocks Lodge has five bedrooms (4 - queen size, 1 - w/two bunk beds) and each room has a spectacular view of the slopes. The upper level has two bedrooms, a full bath, and a TV/sitting area in the loft. The main level has a master bedroom with a large bath featuring a whirlpool tub and a separate shower stall. There is a powder room and laundry room just inside the front door. The fully-equipped kitchen opens into the dining room and a fabulous great room. The lower level features two bedrooms, another great room, a pool table room, and a large bath featuring a large tub and separate shower. Wireless Internet and free HBO and other movie channels. There is parking for four cars at Grey Rocks Lodge.

We just returned from a visit to Grey Rocks Lodge. We were amazed at the view of the mountian and the mountain laurel was in bloom. The lodge was big enough that our family could spend time together without being crowded (all 13 of us). The owner has made sure that this home has everything you need plus. The driveway is a bit tricky, but the view from the top is awesome. The grandchildren had a fun time at the water park on Saturday and we all played miniature golf on Sunday. This is not just a ski resort, they offer lots of fun year round! I would recommend Grey Rocks Lodge to large family or groups who want the best in accomodations and view!

The house we rented was all that it said it would be and more!! Our teenagers had a blast, had their own space and we could still all be together when we wanted to. The owner was very easy to work with and we ALL enjoyed the hot tub. The views were spectacular and the house very clean and comfortable!! We will definitely be going back!!!

From the time of deposit to the final return of the security deposit this owner is nothing but professional and friendly. Myself, my daughter, and my brother's family had an amazing time. Grey Rocks Lodge is of the highest calibre of vacation homes. Clearly no expense was spared from the comfy leather furniture in the great rooms to the billiard room and hot tub on the lower floor! Further, the views (from all rooms) could be used for a promotional brochure for Massanutten. The grounds surrounding the home are impeccably landscaped and maintained. The interior of the house is flawless and the expansive spaces allow for both family and private time as the people in your party wish. The private drive getting up to the house is not for the faint-hearted, but the adrenaline rush at the top when Grey Rocks comes into view is well worth it! We will definitely return next year! Thanks again for a lovely time!

Grey Rocks was the perfect house for the 12th annual chicks on sticks weekend (President's day weekend with 9 of my girlfriends). The kitchen is well stocked with plates, cups, and utensils. The bed rooms were comfortable and there were plenty of bathrooms for all of the girls. The living rooms had plenty of seating and a beautiful view of the slopes! Grey Rocks has a gorgeous deck that wraps around the house on two levels and faces the ski slopes. But it was the hot tub that was the biggest hit! What a nice way to relax in the evening! Don’t want to spend all of your time in the house? (You very easily could though!) The ski slopes, tubing park, mini-golf, go karts etc are close by. The recreation center and Fareways restaurant is also very close to Grey Rocks. During our afternoon walks, we ventured by these amenities as well as made it to the trail to the peak of the mountain. This has to be the best property to stay at on Massanutten. My wife and I and three other couples went here in Jan. 2011. It was beautiful. The view is amazing and the house is very comfortable. You want to get out and enjoy the resort but you will find yourself so relaxed at the house and time will just fly by. But beware the beautiful sight comes at a price b/c the road leading to this property is very steep. Be sure to but your vehicle in the lowest gear. (But I enjoyed driving up and down the road) The only problem I had was that the grill was kind of small, and cooking all the food we had in 17 degree weather was tough on the bones b/c we're not use to it being that cold in NC. But the house is still AMAZING!

A group of 13 of us stayed here last Oct-perfect time of year-the view was amazing and the house was perfect-we cooked in-and grilled out-plenty of room-we enjoyed the pool tableand hot tub after a day of hiking white oak canyon.The owner was very pleasant,nicest house,best view in Massanutten,would def recommend to families/friends,larger groups :)

Grey Rocks Lodge is a beautiful house, the pictures do not come close to capturing the beautiful views that this house offers. The house was very clean and the owner provided most of your needs except minimal items such as toilet paper. The owner was very helpful with providing information on activities and nearby dining options. My only grievance would be that although the owner promised that he would offer a discount to returning customers, when our group called to reserve for the following year, he did not give my group the discount. Also, the house is located on a very steep incline and you have to make a real sharp turn to reach the driveway of the house. Overall, my group enjoyed the ambience of the house and do plan to return for another getaway.
