Beautiful Winter Park condominium nestled in the woods one-half block away from the Arapahoe National Forest. Only 1 and 1/2 hours from Denver, our unit sets among 50-foot pine trees at an elevation of 8,000 feet. Beautiful views of the mountains and forest!
The location is one of the best in Winter Park; far enough above the town (about three-fourths of a mile) to have great mountain views and far enough away from the train tracks to have the lonesome whistle sound.
During the winter, there are many activities to keep you busy during your stay. You can cross-country ski or snowshoe right out the door of the condo onto the trails in the Arapahoe National Forest. The Vasquez Creek, located within walking distance, is a beautiful and breathtaking area to explore. Now, if you’re heading to Winter Park for the world-class downhill skiing…”here’s the scoop.” The FREE shuttle bus picks you up 300 feet of the condo for transportation to the Winter Park/Mary Jane Ski Resort for great downhill skiing and snowboarding. (It’s just a 2-mile drive.) In the town of Winter Park, you can enjoy ice-skating, shopping, dining and entertainment. There is plenty to enjoy! Outside of Winter Park, you can visit Rocky Mountain National Park to experience the outstanding winter wildlife! The YMCA of the Rockies is 8 miles away where you can enjoy a variety of activities.
During the summer, you can mountain bike right off the property to over 600 miles of marked, mapped trails. You can also hike along Vasquez Creek, located nearby. In the town of Winter Park, there are a variety of special events that take place throughout the summer. Maybe you come to enjoy the music seen, there are Jazz, Blues, and Folk music weekends, or maybe you would enjoy the art festivals or bike racing?! Outside of Winter Park, you can visit Rocky Mountain National Park, and enjoy water sports on Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain, and Grand Lake. You can also fly fish, play golf, and even attend local rodeos. The YMCA of the Rockies is 8 miles away where you can enjoy a variety of activities.
The condominium was completely remodeled in 2005, but continues to be improved each and every year with a flat-panel/DVD combo TV just being installed in August 2008. It is fully furnished and custom decorated. There is one large bedroom upstairs with a queen-sized bed and over-sized chair and ottoman. Also upstairs is a full bath with jetted tub. Downstairs is a fully equipped kitchen, half bath, and living room with a full-sized futon couch.
FREE shuttle bus to the mountain and downtown stops 300 feet from the front door and runs every 1/2 hour during the winter season. At the nearby clubhouse is an indoor pool, hot tub, and coin-operated laundry facility. Outdoor tennis courts are just a block away. Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park are 30 miles north and Grand Lake is 25 miles north. Safeway is five miles north on Highway 40 in Fraser.
