A vacation, for many, is about peace and quiet, and relaxation. Deer Field Cottage offers all that and the close proximity to Acadia National Park and all the activities on Mount Desert Island. This gorgeous, spacious cottage, on a quiet country lane, is situated on five acres of land, in a beautiful field visited daily by local deer! The wonderful patio, which has a fire pit and citranella lanterns and overlooks the field, offers a peaceful setting for your family lunch. WALK to Long Pond— just 5-10 minute walk away—to enjoy wonderful swimming, fishing and kayaking.

The comfortable cottage has three bedrooms, all on the second floor, accommodating up to 6 guests. There are two queens and one king. There is also a full bathroom on the second floor. The entire first floor features a variety of rooms for conversation, watching TV, reading having tea and entertaining. The very functional kitchen features an island for serving and easy food prep. There is a full bathroom with washer and dryer. There is also a lovely screened-in porch in the front of the cottage, perfect for sitting in the shade with an iced tea on a warm summer day.

Amenities include all appliances, dishwasher, three TVs with satellite TV, WIFI, microwave, gas BBQ, plenty of outdoor dining furniture.

The perfect cottage for a family vacation, this Somesville cottage is in the center of Mount Desert Island, minutes from nearly all the local villages and about 10 minutes to the Acadia National Park Loop Road. Beech Hill Mountain is just 5 or so minutes away, for a great morning hike! And Echo Lake is just 5 minute away, a popular swimming lake and beach! Guests also have access to the town landing in Somesville, a great place to launch kayaks!

Downtown Bar Harbor is just 13 minutes away, where you can catch a whale watch tour, dine and shop. In Acadia you will enjoy nature walks, fishing, hiking swimming, beaching. Mountains, ocean, lakes, and parks—all at your fingertips.
