We loved our stay at the Fountain. It was close to great restaurants and the beach, but it was also close enough to our grandson in Kendall. The condo was perfect for the two of us, and it was big enough to welcome our family. We plan on staying here whenever we come for a visit.Did you find this review helpful? Location was perfect in this vacation rental. We had had enough of beach front in our extended Florida stay and this quiet, charming neighborhood suited us to a T. An easy walk to local buses, shops and restaurants, the area felt safe and was always quiet. The building and grounds were lovely and the fence and locking gate made us feel very secure. The front lobby is neat and spacious and the elevator to unit was always working. The apartment is beautiful and clean with comfortable and attractive furniture. Both bathroom and kitchen were modern and fully equipped. Shower could use a grab bar for safety, and one more reading light in the bedroom would be helpful, but otherwise, everything perfect. Great location on south beach, the property was everything I expected and more. I took my girlfriend here to celebrate valentines day and she was so impressed with the property. If you want to enjoy Miami Beach and the South Beach experience but don't want to live it 24/7, the South of Fifth neighborhood called "SoFi" is the place to be. The place to stay is this little known small well maintained Art Deco gem. The Fountain is an apartment complex of three low rise buildings built as apartments in the 1920's and fully renovated a few years back. The buildings retain their Deco charm while providing he modern amenities you would expect of Hotel. (WiFi, cable etc.). The value is unbeatable in that for far less than the cost of a hotel room, we rented a large one bedroom apartment with kitchen, and a living/dining room in which we were comfortably able to host dinner for six. The apartment is clean and fully equipped, to include even beach chairs and beach towels! Our friends stayed in smaller one bedroom down the hall, and it was equally impressive. The neighborhood is just that, a neighborhood! Within a block or so are a market, pleasant places to eat and of course the beach (a short 5 min. walk). THE FOUNTAIN CONDOMINIUM HOTEL RENTAL RULES AND REGULATIONS The Fountain Condo Hotel is a unique Residential Property that consists of a combination of second homes and full-time residents and long term tenants. Kindly show respect to unit owners and other guests by observing the following rules: Guests Rules Per unit – Maximum 4 persons including children No guests other than those registered are allowed to occupy rental units. All renters and adults occupying the unit must (legibly) complete and sign The Fountain Condo registration forms provided to you prior to arrival to Management PARTIES ARE NOT PERMITTED and excessive visitors will not be tolerated Visitors must be escorted by guests at all times throughout building and grounds Building Regulations TV and Stereo volumes must be lowered to normal levels at all times. The Swimming Pool areas closes at dusk Front doors may not be propped open at any time Access gates may not be propped open at any time Please close doors to units as quietly as possible as to not disturb neighbors Trash from units must be disposed in the trash room located in the back alley of the property. The entrance key is also used to open the trash room. Please make sure to place recycle items in the appropriate bin and boxes need to be broken down before placing inside the bin. Please do not leave trash by poolside area. Always dispose in trash room. No items such as towels, sheets or rugs may be hung from terraces/windows. No items such as sheets or blankets may be draped across any windows Violations/Fines Guests who do not conform to the above rules and regulation will be given a verbal warning for the first violation and charged $200 for the second violation. Police will also be called with second warning. After third violation, guests will be asked to vacate the premises.
