Our stay in Mendoza exceeded our expectations in several ways. One of these was our experience in the villa. While there were 5 adults in our party, more could have comfortably stayed at the same time. Full kitchen, laundry, linen and nearby village amenities were what we found. The owner has provided a helpful guidebook of local reference information. In here we found the name of a local reference for transportation and guide services to the wineries and other points of interest in and around Mendoza and the Andes. The villa's resident caretaker was also eager and available to prepare a pork cochanilla for us to enjoy on the terrace one evening, complete with his own seasoning receipe. The owner himself assisted us from the start of our trip planning, kept in touch during our stay through his on-site representative, and even afterwards. We reserved the villa in the summer of 2011 for a stay in April 2012. The week here was a perfect start to our 2 week vacation in Argentina. We recommend this villa to others who may be looking for a laid back and pleasant live-in experience at the foot of the Andes.
Owner response:Ted: it was a great pleasure to host you and your family and friends. We hope you come back to our house again soon.

We loved the house - it was beautiful, spacious and full of comfort. There were 9 of us and we all had plenty of room. The pool was warm and inviting. We loved Mendoza and the vineyards and surrounding areas. Many thanks!

Our stay in this villa was fantastic! Eugenio organized our weekend's activities and we comfortably fit 10 adults in the large and beautiful house. We visited 4 bodegas our first day - lunch at Ruca Malen is unmissable. The next day we went river rafting which was a really cool outing and a great way to see the Andes. Sunday, the owner sent women to give us massages, manicures, and pedicures. We enjoyed the massages, but the manicures/pedicures were subpar. That said, we really loved our time at the house and in Mendoza overall. Thank you so much for hosting us!

We've just returned from a 2 week stay at Casa Mendoza. Chacras de Coria is a lovely town. We did lots of wine tastings and tours, but the most enjoyable part of our stay was spent right in Chacras, enjoying the house, pool, and grounds. One of our favorite restaurants was Nadia's where we had a wonderful wine pairing dinner. We were lucky to be in Chacras for the 75th anniversary of the local church. There was music, traditional dancing and fireworks on the square. The weather was perfect, except for one afternoon when we experienced the Zonda winds. All in all, the house exceeded our expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to others and would love to return again.

We had a large group that stayed here for 5 days. The house is amazing and literally has everything you could possibly need. We did a lot of cooking at the house, grilling on the open fire in the back, and drinking wonderful wine. This is an ideal place for a group that wants to spend some quality time together and relax. Thanks for an amazing stay.

Six of us stayed here in November '09 and had a fantastic time. There was plenty of room, this villas can comfortably sleep 10 and the house was so big, we all had privacy and could get lost from one another if we wanted to. Visitng the vineyards during the day, coming back and relaxing by the pool in the afternoon was just the perfect way of life for us! The town is just a block away, definitely go to Jebb's for the best pastries, cafe con leche and medialunas! Wineyards, horseback riding, fine dining all within close proximity. We spent some time in Mendoza city, and we were so thankful that we were actually staying in Chacras instead. Can't wait to come back.

May 2009, What a wonderful location we had at this lovely home in Chacras de Coria. We were two couples traveling together and we had so much space! The house is everything it says it is and more. The owners made everything so easy for us and were very helpful in setting up our stay in the Mendoza area, including airport pick up and return. There is so much to do in this area and after driving around and talking with locals, we realized that we just happened on the perfect location for our Mendoza adventure. We toured wineries and did a treck in the Andes. Our only regret is that we did not spend more time in this part of Argentina, but we will be back! Thank you for making our stay great!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable house. It is well furnished both in the kitchen and elsewhere. One evening we took advantage of the outdoor barbeque and the dinning area near the pool. It is a lovely setting and quiet. The property’s caretaker assisted with the BBQ and was most accommodating at other times. Chacras de Coria is a lovely small town with many shops and good restaurants within short walking distance of the house. The owner’s suggestion book was most helpful in recommending restaurants - our meals were excellent. The town is an excellent location for day trips and the house is a wonderful place to come back to after a long day of touring or wine tasting. For others considering rental of this property, it has our highest recommendation.

My husband and I vacationed at Casa Mendoza with four other couples in December of 2006. It has remained one of our favorite places. The property is lovely - open, yet with private spaces; well maintained; beautiful outdoor grounds with private barbecue and pool; and a short strolling distance into the charming town of Chacras de Coria. We toured several vineyards, drank very good wine, ate very good food, basked in the beauty of the Andes, drove up into the mountains, white-water rafted in the River Mendoza, shopped, spent a day at the spa, rode horses, played tennis and enjoyed each others' company in a warm, beautiful, and very relaxing setting. The owners of the property were very helpful and assisted us in hiring a cook for our stay and drivers for our outings (which we highly recommend.) We will never forget Casa Mendoza and our time spent there.

We and friends are going back to Casa Mendoza for the 3rd time in March / April 2009. Does that not say it all! Without a doubt Chacras and Casa Mendoza are exceptional places. Simply put,the accomodations, Chacras the town and Mendoza the city all offer a vacation experience that is hard to beat. If only it was just a little big closer!

My husband and daughter and I spent several glorious days at Casa Mendoza. The home is very comfortable and so convenient. Right outside the door is the little town of Chacras, so picturesque and fun to walk through. We were not there during the summer months, and so couldn't enjoy the swimming pool, but we did have a favorite outdoor experience--- a wonderful asada or barbeque picnic under the garden trees. We felt like we were in the movies. The wineries in the Mendoza area are absolutely stunning---something not to be missed. We recommend this lovely home in this charming part of the world wholeheartedly. Lynn Voelbel, Minneapolis, MN

What a beatiful vacation we had! The home was very spacious, clean , comfortable and so conveniently located. Walks into the charming little town of Chacras for coffee every morning, shopping, winerys and fabulous restaurants made the stayy even more enjoyable.. The view of the Andes from around the area were nothing other than breathtaking. One of our friends even got to ride in the back of a horse drawn carriage after getting a flat tire on a bike ride. (O.K.--it is their way of collecting garbage! But charming none-the-less!!!) But our favorite nights were spent around the pool, candle light dinners in the back open cabana area, drinking red wine and listening to our friend Shawn play the guitar! It doesn't get much better than that! We will remember our trip, the warm hospitality, and the Malbec forever.

Ten friends from Minnesota gathered to explore beautiful Mendoza in December of 2006. We stayed in this lovely home in Chacra de Coria and were very pleased with all the accomodations offered. The home was spacious and comfortable and the grounds and pool were very beautiful. We hired a cook for our 10 day visit and had locals come on various days for in home massages. The town of Chacra de Coria was so quaint and the people were so gracious and wonderful. We enjoyed the coffee shops, shopping and eating establishments in town. We also toured the local Bodegas, enjoyed Whitewater rafting, horesback riding and a Spa on the Rio Mendoza. This was a most special vacation that our entire group will never forget and keep in our hearts.

Words can't describle what a nice vacation we had. Julio, the caretaker, made us feel at home and the town folk were wonderful to us. The house is very nice. We especially enjoyed the pool. It accomodated 8 of us easily. We had everything we needed- our expectations were surpassed. The town has vegetable and meat markets, bakeries, and even an antique market just around the corner on the weekends. I am afraid the ice cream shop across from our house was very tempting. We did not rent a car, but took either the bus into to Mendoza or a hired car to tour wineries for wonderful wine paring meals. After a month it was time to go home. We can't wait to come back.

Eight of us stayed in this wonderful home for a month in March 2007. The house and the town made for a great vacation. We rode the bus to Mendoza. We enjoyed the scenic ride and the friendly people. We took taxis to many of the wineries and shopping. (Be sure to check for the fare ahead of time!) You can often ask the wineries for an idea of a reasonable fare when you make your reservation for lunch. We loved the caretaker of the property who seemed like a friend by the time we had to leave. Walking around the town to shop, buy fruits, vegetables, meats and wines was a daily experience we enjoyed. We are waiting for airline fares to get better so that we can go back!
