A fantastic home. Everything feels brand new from the kitchen to the televisions to the bathrooms. A beautiful space a gorgeous area and a wonderful hottub! Perfect house for one family. Great hiking and biking trail right out the backyard and I imagine great sledding if there were snow! The caretakers upstairs are also so nice and great to have around...especially in the event one leaves the house without a housekey....Joyce is also a great person to rent from and so flexible. Thanks for a fantastic vacation!

We booked this cabin for our tough mudder race in squaw valley. It was everything we needed to wind down and rehab from a long race. The place was clean, new and very spacious. I would recomnend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing stay!

Joyce, What a wonderful place to celebrate our 18th anniversary! We thoroughly enjoyed the gourmet kitchen and the hot tub on the deck. Best of all, you could snowshoe right out the back with our dog, He enjoyed himself romping in the snow. We also enjoyed sitting in the hot tub after a long day of adventures. Thanks again - we will be back.

Joyce, Well we planned this trip for months in advance and part of my family flew all the way in from Texas. We were definitely NOT dissappointed!! The accomodations were everything we could have hoped for and then some. It was exactly as described in the listing and extremely immaculate. It was like walking into our home. We were greeted by your lovely neighbor and offered any help that we might have needed. The place was so cozy, we cooked every night with a well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was great with such a fantastic view!! This will definitely be our new annual reunion place to stay!! Thanks also for allowing our sweet Gabby to be there also, she especially loved being there curled up in front of fireplace!!

The ammenities and space in this cabin are excellent. We had a great stay and were only a few minutes away from all the skiing that we were seeking. The inside of the cabin is in immaculate shape and is great for a large or small group. Would reccomend staying here if N. Tahoe is your destination!

The house was nice but we had no heat for a week and it was freezing! There was only ONE channel to watch on the TV in the master bedroom. We got there at 9PM and the house is outside of the city so it is very dark at night, and the owner didn't change the burned out lights leading up to the house. She told us she knew about the burned out lights but forgot to change them. It was so dark we couldn't see to get to the front porch. She had no lights to lead us to the front door. My husband ran into a bare wire trellis that was in the middle of the walkway, hit his head and his glasses fell off of him and broke. The toilet downstairs was not attached to the floor and tipped over. Very dangerous stay for us.
Owner response:This woman has written this negative and fabricated comment because I would not respond to her threats to pay for glasses for which she had no receipt. The county inspected her "complaints" and it was clear to them that she made them up. My attorney found she was being investigated by the State of California for insurance fraud by 27 insurance companies and she was arrested in July. She has forced me into defending myself. Be assured that everyone who visits Risi Luxury Ski Cabin will never have an experience as she has described.

Joyce, We had a wonderful time in your home. Thank you so much. The kitchen was particularly well-equiped and we enjoyed several tasty meals. One sad note: We lost one of our party to the powerful, muscle-softening jets of the hot tub-she will be forever in our memory.

Dear Joyce, I think this cabin is magic. At least, for us it was. This was my first ever white Christmas. It was my first Christmas away from my family, and yet it felt like home. This is the place where I was proposed to and where me and my future husband sat in the hot tub, looked up at the stars and dreamed and planned our future together. Dear Joyce, Thanks for letting us visit. Emma says her favorite things were: fancy chair next to the princess curtains, and the hot tub, and the hammock, and the fountain(bird bath), and the bumblebee lamp with the candle inside. She says, "I love Tahoe". Maizy's favorite was the upstairs balcony and all the walks. Mine was...the sink?! (I love the huge kitchen sink!) And the fact that Emma and Maizy were happy.

Joyce has hosted us several times in her beautiful home. Every time we visit there is some new luxury that Joyce has added to her home. This last time it was a newly remodeled Kitchen! The Granite countertops blended so nicely with the feel of the rest of the house and the new kitchen had twice the cooking room and was a joy to use. This is just a lovely home, always very clean with lots of little thoughtful touches. The best parts? That hot tub at night, ending our days in soft billowy comfort in the cozy bedroom, then rising to see the sun from the private deck. Bliss!! We will come back soon. Love, David and Susan

9/3/07 "Thank you for sharing your upgraded mountain cabin/home. The openess of the downstairs allowed us to relax without boundaries and the view from the deck most spacious. The kitchen and the upstairs bathroom are quite nicely appointed and very easy on the soul and body."

Your house is the perfect getaway complete with everything we needed to relax in luxury. Both nights we stayed we slept all through the night it was so quiet. Your hot tub was sparkling clean and inviting after our long hike. Your gardens are beautiful.Thank you for everything. We will be back!

My family and I had a really nice experience staying at the Risi house. Everything was spotless and we felt so comfortable and pampered. The location was perfect for us to explore the tahoe area too. We would definitely stay there again.
