KonaComfort -- we chose that name to represent our intention. You will be able to tell that we care about our guests by the way the premises are maintained and presented for you. We keep all our rentals cleaned and maintained just as if relatives were coming -- and indeed they do, and so do locals -- which is similar to knowing a good restaurant when you see the local folks same case here. (Please feel free to read the many recommendations on our website!)
This rental features a whole private bedroom with its own door with full matching furniture, a roomy closet, two windows, ceiling fan and tastefully decorated with local themes.

Mini kitchen inside with regular sized stainless steel dish sink, blender, mixer, coffee grinder, coffee pot. Kitchen continues on the massive front lanai with a 30" self cleaning gas stove with oven, full sized frostless refrigerator, microwave, and that adjours a nice dining area with a round dining table and chairs AND a picnic table that works well for guests and fits into the decor exceptionally well. This is all private and only for you!

The living room is cozy but not squashed, with coordinated Hawaiian style sofa, love seat, reclining chair, end tables, coffee table. TV with satellite [HBO, Showtime, much more] DVD/VCR.
Queen sized bed lets you recharge after a long day out and about. (And there is a LOT to do local as well as islandwide!) Battery back-up alarm clock in case you have something you got to wake up early for!
You don't need to hassle with well meaning landlords since you have your own private entrance and can park within easy walking distance.
Kitchen comes ready with utensils and dishes, microwave, coffee pot, rice cooker and toaster.
Well designed windows and doors with true cross ventilation so you can get the most of the fresh robust air, and ceiling fans provided in all the major rooms in case you need some air on your sunburn! It was engineered that way on purpose to take advantage of our cool elevation and trade winds.
Situated on just over an acre with much of it available for you to explore. Some fruits may be in season, which you are welcome to sample as you like. Conveniently close to town yet not in the main crowds. Five minutes to Costco (and they have the cheapest gas in town)! Ten minutes to the beaches -- close enough but not so close you are in the hustle and bustle but can come home to peace and tranquility.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Paniolo Country Estates
We were not strangers to Kailua, we had come for vacations every summer for at least 5 or 6 years. One of us was born and raised in Kona and has relatives and friends there. So we had some "inside" help and prior knowledge. We knew to get a location with some space (we have one acre) and that was away from the hussle and bussle (we are about 10 minutes up from the town -- just far enough to be away but not inconvenient to services and shops). We also knew that although property could be cheaper down lower, you would pay with the humidity and heat. Also, such as thing as tradewinds (we got those too), and then a new enough house to have all the features you need and a big enough house to do many things with it.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Location, location, location. 10 minutes to the airport, about the same to Costco, about the same to the main town. Yet, you can get up in the morning, take a drive to the distant side of the Island, spend 4 or 5 hours, and still make it back home to get yourself tucked in. It is the perfect place to take "Day Trips" (and on our site we give you some trip tips and suggestions) and not need to re-locate to another rental just to "see it all". Most anyone enjoys their vacation more when they can come back to a place that really helps them rest and re-charge. We are also close to the beach (15 minutes), places like Wal-Mart and big box grocery stores; and attractions like submarines, snorkeling, swimming, boat cruises, diving, golfing, and much more. We are minutes from "local style" food or if you prefer more "MainLand" food like McDonalds. About every block or so in any direction you choose there is something different and new to do or see. Spend one day if you must, but a couple of weeks would give you a good glimpse.

We are very busy with two enterprises, Kona Comfort Vacation Rentals and Kona Comfort Kona Coffee. We have been pleased with the many nice guests we have had come and stay with us, some for just a night and some for several months at a time. Most people want and appreciate the same things -- a nice comfortable bed, sparkling clean premises, normal day to day things you might need at your fingertips in reasonable locations. Since we actually lived in this home before we started renting it, we already had a good head start with decorating it. We had already done many improvements that set the pace for the future as we added and tweaked -- we were not going to lower the standards of the house, but keep them just as comfortable and nice as when we lived there. It can sometimes feel like we need 34 hours in a day or 8 days in a week -- but the many compliments and feedbacks we get make it worth it. We love our guests and customers, work hard to make everything right, and we hope you will come and visit the Big Island and stay with us soon! Mahalo, Mike
