Sit in our PRIVATE JACUZZI on the front balcony on the 7th floor ( of 10 floors), and watch the planes arriving in the near distance, and the boats passing by. THIS IS A CORNER UNIT, WITH WONDERFUL, CLEAR VIEWS FROM ALL 3 BALCONIES! THE CARIBBEAN OUT FRONT, THE MOUNTAINS TO THE SIDE AND SIMPSON BAY LAGOON OUT BACK.( the largest lagoon in the Caribbean)!
The condo has white tile and marble floors, granite countertops and is comfortable and inviting. Easy options for dining in or out. The master bedroom has a king bed and the second bdrm has a double bed. There is a sleeper sofa in the den. Each bedroom has a private bath. (Our 2nd bedroom and bath(with just shower,sink and toilet) are very small, but adequate for a vacation stay). There are balconies off the master bdrm and the kitchen as well. The main pool is large and has a Tiki bar/restaurant for easy dining options, three meals a day. There is also a children's pool on-site.
SXM is also known as the "culinary capital of the Caribbean". Many of these wonderful restaurants and the Atlantis Casino are within a few minutes walking distance. The island's only golf course is next to our condo! We are in a superior location on the island for driving to any activity. From the Carolinas, there is a direct flight daily from Charlotte to SXM via US Airways. Go and relax!

My husband and I are both from a small town in South Carolina. We first visited St. Maarten with good friends from college who had just purchased a villa there. One stay with them was enough for us to fall for this wonderful friendly island! We bought our condo, which is very near our friends villa, and we travel there at least 6-8 times a year. We have so many fun, yet relaxing times there, we decided to share with others when we aren't using it. Your stay will be memorable we're sure!

We visited St. Martin for one week for our son's 21st birthday. This was a wonderful vacation. The condo was very nice with a great location. Close to the airport, shopping, Maho Beach and many restaurants and casino's in the surrounding areas. Our son loved Maho Beach and watching the planes... which was the reason for our vacation. The view from the balcony was great. The staff at Sapphire Beach Club were very pleasant to deal with.

The owners were great to deal with, they truly love this condo, and we feel the same way after our visit. The Sapphire Beach Club is prefectly situated, you can be anywhere on the island after a short drive. The unit itself is well decorated and it is obvious that the owners have put a lot of time and effort into creating a great rental experience. The views from the Condo were great, the balcony facing the ocean was a great place to have coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening. The Sapphire Beach Club is trying to recover from years of terrible management, there is a new GM in place, and he is making a difference. I mention that only because all of the shortcomings we expereinced ou our trip were building related, not the result of any problems with the condo. For example, the cable tv worked very poorly during our visit, but you don't go to St. Marteen to watch TV, but if you advertise cable tv, it should be provided. Also, the WI FI was awful, there was no signal in the room and the only hot spot was in the lobby, and they wanted $45 a week to sign on (people in the lobby using the wi fi freely shared the password). The restraunt and bar have reopened, the food was good, the service was a little slow, but acceptable. To make a long story short, the Condo gets a grade of "A", the building gets a "B-", the blended experience gets a "B+", good enough to make us want to come back for more!

My wife and I have stayed at this unit a week for each of the last four years. We have been very pleased each time. The view from the balcony is spectacular. There is a gorgeous well-kept and large pool if you decide to stay in and not travel on any of your days. The cleaning & maintenance staff is very courteous and helpful. They move at a pace a little slower than we're used to in the US, but so does the whole island. The owners are most gracious and easy to work with. We definitely recommend this condo and plan on staying again!

We had a great time in an affordable yet charming two bedroom unit. Not only was the condo attractive with a great view, the food and drink were excellent values at the pool on the gound floor. We would like to return soon.

Bad Air Conditioning

I rented this condo May 27-June 1, 2010. It is attractive and the views from the balcony are great. However, the air conditioning did not work properly, and we recorded 80 degrees inside the condo during the day. We reported the problem to the condo management, and we also E-mailed the owner, but nothing was ever done. After we got home, the owners offered to refund at least a portion of our rental money, but that didn't happen either.
Owner response:These renters had a discount price for their four night stay. It was also probably one of the hottest times on the island! We were out of the country on a mission trip, and had no access to a computer. We found out later the compressor for our building was broken that month. The staff at SBC would have moved our renters(at no charge to them) had they asked for this. Since they did not ask to be moved to a cooler unit, there was nothing else SBC could have done. I arrived later that month and the compressor finally was installed during my stay. We felt since they had been given a discount rate, and stayed such a short time, no further action was required on our part.

We stayed here in June and it was an amazing experience! The rooms are big and the view (with the hot tub) was also beautiful. It is close to one of the most beautiful beaches on the Dutch side. The owners are a breeze to deal with also. I would highly recommend a stay here for any first timer to the island. I hope to visit again soon!

We hope you choose to stay in our condo on your next trip to the beautiful, friendly island of St. Maarten! Our condo is centrally located on the Dutch side and is very near the Atlantis Casino and several good restaurants/bars. Easy access to Mullet Bay beach and the golf course. Our second bedroom is very small, but we have stayed there for a week at a time, and the queen size bed is comfortable and the small bath is efficient. We have maximized the space as best we could, and want to make it known, we do not have two master suites! We love this island and cherish our times there.....hope you will soon find out why!
