This is a beautiful home. The pictures did not do it justice. Upon arrival we were welcomed with the ingredients for a "Maple Leaf", which we all enjoyed. There was plenty of space for us to spread out. The furnishings and linens were top of the line. The kitchen was fully stocked with the necessary utensils and cookware. The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch. This home is within walking distance to stores and restaurants. We enjoyed The Whip, The Malt Shop, Pie Casso, The Rusty Nail and The Matterhorn. We went to the Trapp Family Lodge and Ben and Jerry's factory. The owner was very helpful with suggestions of places to eat and see. There wasn't much snow during our stay but we were able to get a couple of days of skiing in. We want to try to return when there is more snow and also during the fall to see the leaves. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a place in Stowe.

We enjoyed a much needed mini vacation at this lovely home. The pictures are great but really it's even more beautiful in person. It was very clean and well stocked. It had everything we needed including a waffle iron!!. We felt instanly at home. We were traveling with 5 teenagers who quickly made the lower level theirs. They loved it and it was very comfortable for them. The skiing was great, couple that with being able to come home and relax in front of the fire makes this a perfect vacation. We made breakfast and dinner there and had lunch at the resort. The owners were very friendly and easy to work with. They were quick responders if I had any questions. I would highly recommend this property to traveling families. I would'nt stay anywhere else in Stowe!!!

Bluegrass in the Mountains was by far one of the most beautiful rental properties we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Our family (my husband, daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren--ages 5 and 6) spent five wonderful nights in Stowe and found our "home away from home" to be exceptionally beautiful, clean and well-maintained and I must say the pictures on the website absolutely do not do it justice and amenities went far beyond what were listed. The layout was perfect--my husband and I were thrilled with the huge master bedroom upstairs (there are actually two master bedrooms upstairs) and our bathroom, complete with jacuzzi, shower, huge double sink, etc. was larger than many bedrooms I've seen. We even had a fireplace in our bedroom! Our kids were ecstatic with their very large "suite" downstairs--king sized bed divided off from the area with two twin beds for the kids and a sitting area complete with couches and tv entertainment center. On the main floor, where we'd all meet for breakfast, planning the days activities, etc. was a large kitchen with every top-notch appliance and amenity you could possibly need or want.. The large dining area and living room were exquisitely decorated--we're still amazed with all the attention to detail that went into making Bluegrass in the Mountains much more of a home than a rental unit. We've been going to Stowe for many years now and this was by far the finest property we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Again, pictures cannot do it justice and, of course, the location (just a short walk into downtown Stowe) is phenomenal. The Clares are great people and did everything possible to make our visit to their beautiful property the grand success it was. We'd have no hesitation recommending this property to absolutely anyone--it certainly surpassed all our expectations!

This condo is beautiful. The pictures on the web site look very nice but do not do the condo justice. I was expecting a nice place but did not expect it to be as beautiful as it was. The layout and furnishings were beautiful. There were so many beautiful pieces of furniture. The layout was perfect for our gathering. The two master bedrooms upstairs were gorgeous and perfectly decorated. The downstairs bedrooms was perfect for the teenagers. We just walked out the condo and were downtown Stowe...... just perfect for our gathering!! Looking forward to going back next year!

My family visiting from the U.K. wanted to see a little of Vermont, I wanted them to have the best possible time spent there. No disapointments in the beautiful home, fine weather and the charm of the area. Thank you so very much, it is getting rare these days to find things better than advertised but this condo does that. Thank you Clares. We hope to return someday. P.T.

My family, a total of 6 just got back from vacation in Stowe and stayed at Blue Grass in the Mountains. This is truly a wonderful place to stay and we will do it again if and when the opportunity arises. The decor, furnishings and appliances are all top notch in all aspects. The location is excellent as you are 2 blocks from downtown Stowe. The owners were very good to deal with and most helpful. I found this on VBRO just looking around, took a chance and it paid off. I highly recomend staying at Blue Grass in the Mountains.

We always look for homes that are beautifully appointed with excellent beds and beddings and cozy for our whole family. Your home exceeds those expectations and since we cook most of our meals a great kitchen and yours has that too! This house is perfect for a family who loves the city closeness, quietness, and minutes from magical snow fun. It will truly be a holiday to remember. But the best memories of the trip were experienced in your home. Waking up every morning and having my three kids run downstairs to the bottom floor to jump in bed with their Grandparents. Then upstairs for coffee and breakfast and the planning of a new day, and then at night all the recounts of the day and winding down with a fire, great meal, and snuggles. Money cannot buy those things for us... Susan your help making this happen is very appreciated.

Great place - the owners have done a wonderful job of decorating and thinking of the small details which make all the difference. The unit is taistfully decorated and does not feel like a rental unit. Walking into town is a big plus. Highly reccomended - we would come back and stay again.

We were thrilled with the location, decor and amenities of this outstanding vacation home. We had a fabulous long weekend (with family from 20 to 80) and couldn't have asked for anything more (except to stay longer!). We loved being within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and recreation path, and being able to return to the comfort of this great place every day. The furnishings and linens are top quality, housekeeping immaculate. We plan to return to Stowe as soon as we can, and would love to stay at Bluegrass in the Mountains.

We picked the perfect weekend - early October. The house was more than adequate. We had a group of 5 that spent alot of time around the big dining room table and enjoying the very comfortable beds. It surpassed the pictures on VRBO!

We found this unit to be n icer than we could have hoped for. It is obviously well kept, and well cared for by it's users. It's very convenient to everything in the Stowe area. Quite comfortable for three couples sharing the space. Our arrival was seamless, our entire stay was delightful. Hoping to be fortunate enough to return soon!

A great rental property - conveniently located in the heart of Stowe. Floor plan conducive to group gatherings yet provides privacy space for individuals over an extended stay. Beautifully and thoughtfully furnished for the rental guest. We will definitely return.

Our family spent a summer week. Plenty of room in this Townhouse, and located just outside of downtown. Really enjoyed being able to bike from the townhouse to the Stowe Recreation path every day.

There are not enough synonyms for fantastic in the dictionary to describe or attest to how wonderful this property is. The townhouse is not a vacation condo, it is a home that the Clare's let you visit and share with them. The house space and configuration allow families to spend great time together but then also allows for time alone even with large groups of people. Waking up in the master suite and turning on the fireplace and opening the curtains to a vista of snow covered beauty was more than I could have asked for. Every convenience has been provided. My family and I will be back many times!

Recently stayed here for 3 nights. The townhouse is wonderful. Near-perfect location (only a few minutes to the center of town but also quiet), an incredible amount of space, and beautifully furnished. Decor is very tasteful and not at all kitchy. Furnishings are of excellent quality. The owners are responsive and even called our first night there to make sure that everything was OK. I wholeheartedly recommend this property and hope to return here in the future.

We recently stayed at Bluegrass and have nothing but nice things to say about the place. Everything is so new you would think we were the first people to stay there. For those of you who know Stowe, it's a two minute walk to the intersection in the center of town. We took the public shuttle to the mountain which was very easy. The towels and bed linens were fantastic. The building is quiet; you don't hear your neighbors. The layout of the townhouse is very friendly for large groups. The owners were very easy to work with. We will be back!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Bluegrass In The Mountains! After a tedious journey through a blizzard to get there, it was just pure heaven opening the door to this townhouse and be welcomed by its warmth and beauty. The photos do not do justice to how tastefully decorated and thoughtfully appointed this property truly bears. We stayed for 5 nights and wished it could have been longer. The owners are so very friendly and helpful. The townhome makes one feel like a welcome guest of the owners yet also makes you feel relaxed as if it were your own home. It is simply lovely. Our annual ski vacations include locations chosen slopeside or at the base however, this location we chose for its walking proximity to restaurants, shops, and recreation. Being in this village has so much to offer and the charm of Stowe is so much more appealing to us than being within the base villages at many of the other ski areas in VT. Our party included an age range of senior citizens to an infant and all had a wonderful time! Do not hesitate to rent this property. You will enjoy the plush and spacious accomodations, the gourmet appliances, artisan crafted furniture, artwork and enjoying your wine in Riedel crystal glasses. Our vacation policy is that we never stay at the same location again as there are so many excellent choices however, Bluegrass In The Mountains is our exception and we will stay here again when we go back to Stowe!

Just returned from a 5-night stay. Nicest ski country condo we've ever rented. Roomy, well decorated home within walking distance of everything in the village of Stowe. If you're willing to trade village ambiance for slopeside convenience (and it really isn't a long drive), this rates two big thumbs up!

This townhouse in Stowe Village is wonderful! It's very new, spacious, and inviting with great furnishings and warm decorative touches. The kitchen and dining room are great - especially for making dinner with your group. The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. Only a few miles from Stowe Mountain and close to restaurants, grocery, and shops. The owners are great - extremely friendly and helpful. Our group enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent again in the future!!
