The views are spectacular from the large wrap-around deck that sits just above the lake where Loons and Bald Eagles are a common site. Knotty pine walls throughout create a superb cabin environment. You can get away from it all in this charming cabin!
Horseshoe Lake is crystal clear with a sandy bottom and shallow beaches making it very child friendly. This lake also offers excellent fishing and a public boat launch. The 18-hole Black Bear Golf Course is on the North side of the lake and includes tennis courts. The town of Minong is five miles away and includes a grocery store, bait and tackle shop, miniature golf, shops, and restaurants.
There are wintertime activities as well, with thousands of miles of snowmobile trails out your door. Enjoy cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and skating. Drive another 20 minutes and you are in Hayward where you can shop, dine, and play. Duluth is fifty minutes away with Spirit Mountain for downhill skiing. Bayfield is two hours away and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is three hours away for great daytrips.
