  We had a large group of 14 people during the weekend and it was a great experience. The house is big and we were all comfortable. The owners were very approachable and answer all questions in a timely manner. The only flaw with this property is that the kitchen is small and difficult for more than one person to cook. Other than that, it's a great houe and a great location. I will certainly be renting it again.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

  Heather, We had a great time at your River Dwelling this weekend. The home, setting, and weather could not have been any more perfect for our get-together. In fact, we are already talking about when we can visit again in 2011 and make it a three night trip instead of two. Thank you for a most wonderful get-away. It's funny how when you are sitting around that fire pit you feel a million worlds away from the hustle and bustle of Atlanta. Kind regards, Jim

  Hi Heather I just wanted to let you know that we all had a fantastic time at the cabin this past weekend. The house is beautiful and was so convenient to get to. We'll definitely return for another family trip in the future, and will continue to spread the word out to friends.   We had a wonderful stay at River Dwelling this past Fall for a girl's weekend. It was nice to open the glass garage door and hear the river below. We also loved all the windows that allowed us to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Every night ended relaxing in the hot tub while having a bottle of wine out on the patio. We would definitely return!

  Stayed at River Dwelling the last week of July, as a final getaway before school started back. The house is in one of the easist to get to locations in the area, no steep driveways, major hills, etc. Paved until the final drive, which is hardpack gravel. GREAT to be right on the river. The entire family enjoyed our time tubing, splashing around, using the chair-swing, etc. Make sure you bring your own tubes, as this is a fabulous place to enjoy a great float! Modern styling is different than anything we have experienced in Blue Ridge, but was an enjoyable and welcomed change.

  This cabin is superb . . lots of light and open space with a fantastic modern design while being cozy at the same time. This was our second stay and will definitely not be the last!

  I booked River Dwelling for a family trip this past July. The weather was beautiful and the memories we made during our visit will never be forgotten. River Dwelling is more than we expected it would be! Very modern, very clean and very comfortable. Plenty of space for everyone to do what they wanted. Our family spent lots of time every day tubing down the Taccoa River. We all took turns sleeping on the "Sleeping Porch". What a great experience, listening to the sounds of the night and most of all the river flowing past. We enjoyed beautiful mornings sipping coffee down by the river and lots of fun nights by the fire and in the hot tub. We took a day trip and went White Water Rafting down the Ocoee River which was only about a 30 minute drive. We spent a couple other days driving down the winding mountain roads to the various waterfalls in the area. Of course, taking a stroll in the little town of Blue Ridge and window shopping is always a must! We can't wait to visit River Dwelling again! I have sent pictures and the website to all of my family and friends and encouraged them to not miss an opportunity to make memories at River Dwelling. Thank you for sharing your special place with our family! We can't wait to come back!

  My family and I have visited the Kaufman's cabin several times and each time we leave, we look forward to a future visit. The cabin sits right on the river and is so relaxing. We love the modern architecture and the open layout of the living space in the cabin. There are hiking and biking trails so close that you don't even have to get in the car to get there. A perfect place to gather with friends and family!

  I have rented other cabins before and have been disappointed upon arrival. But River Dwelling is just as beautiful in person as it is in online! The cabin has the look and all the amenities of a modern home. Yet the scenery, the open-air garage door, and proximity to the river remind you that you're in the heart of the great outdoors. It's like taking two vacations in one! The property was very clean and well-maintained. The owner gave us recommendations on several hikes, mountain bike trails, a tube rental location, and nearby restaurants. Two of our favorite hikes were by the hanging bridge and Fall River Falls (great for kids- beside a waterfall). We also spent a lot of time just playing in the river right on the property. There is a sandy "beach" entrance perfect for the kids to play on and a fire pit area and hammock for the adults. The river was clean and fun to swim in. Our family voted unanimously to make this our annual vacation spot!
