This is a very attractive villa that looks directly at the ocean/Edisto River inlet, with a direct (short) boardwalk to the beach. There are no high rises in sight (or anywhere on the island). A short walk leads to some very natural unspoiled areas, including marshland. Opposite is the undeveloped north end of Edisto Island. Dolphins swim constantly in front of the house, sometimes coming within 10 feet of shore. The Club pool and golf course are a 5 minute walk away. The unit is spacious, comfortable and well decorated. Seabrook Island is very quiet and peaceful. It shares a high-end shopping area with neighboring Kiawah - including gourmet grocery. Downtown Charleston is 30-40 minute drive away. Activities are golf, tennis, bike riding and walking along the beach or to the marshes and viewing wildlife. Probably the best location of any VILLA on the whole island. Great for kids if they like nature - less so if they want or need constant entertainment. No nightlife - thank goodness. Weather in mid-March was warm (70s) and windy.Recommended for: Families with young children.
Owner response: We are thrilled to have our guest share some of the renewing natural magic we have come to know at our Seabrook paradise. For us, being at Seabrook is like being in the middle of a vital ocean front nature reserve a half hour from the historic majesty and graciousness of Charleston. Our bit of heaven; it is a true treasure to share.....thank you dear guest.

A beautiful place, and being located right on the beach made it perfect for our family which included our four small grandchildren. We loved watching the dolphins swim by daily. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. The maintenance needs to be improved. We reported the broken dishwasher the day after we arrived and it was still broken when we left. I did not appreciate doing dishes all week for nine people when this was supposed to be my vacation. They did eventually send us some dish soap, towels, a pack of paper plates and cups. We also had a problem with several large roaches. Overlooking these inconveniences we enjoyed our beach vacation.Owner response: We are so glad the natural beauty of our home helped you overlook the dishwasher problem. We had two service calls and a recalled part replaced on the less than 2 year old machine. Now there is a brand new diswasher. Our property manager assured me she offered you tableware as soon as she was informed the dishwasher was not working. We are sorry for the delay. Nobody wants to do dishes on vacation! We have a cleaning and exterminator service that comes regularly and account for the occasional dead bug, but the Southern palmettos seem to come with the territory no matter how clean our home is, but thankfully, so do the dolphin. We love being able to share our home which is a great place for kids and adults. We try very hard to keep it well maintained and want everyone to enjoy it as much as we do. Thank you for your kind remarks and patience.

My husband and I came for our first visit to Seabrook Island over Spring Break. First, Sue, the owner, was incredibly kind and accomodating. Upon our arrival, we found the rental management company to be very friendly, welcoming, and helpful with maps, directions, and info. The drive to the villa is beautiful as it winds through the gated community with streets lined with intertwining live oak trees covered with Spanish moss. What a lovely way to be greeted! The villa is on the beach and has incredible views of the water from every room. Due to the location on the curve of the beach, the currents, and the nearby barrier island, we assumed there must be a bounty of fish as there were dolphins playing all day every day- pretty much any time we looked up. They often came in close (as close as a few feet from shore). The pelicans also enjoyed diving in this area. The barrier island across the way seemed to be home to thousands of various water fowl. Large flocks of birds were often seen circling and landing in this area. Two eagles flew overhead one day while sitting on our deck. We saw lots of deer while bike riding around the island as well as fox and other little critters. There are friendly horses at the nearby horse stables and gators sunning on the banks of many ponds. The home is lovely, modern, well maintained, clean, and had everything we needed. Each room and bathroom is neatly decorated with its own coordinating colors and beach type themes. There is a little porch in front and deck in back that overlooks the water. Depending on the tide, you can walk quite a ways down the beach. The sand is flat enough that we were able to ride our bikes on the beach too. Because its a private island, the beaches are pretty sparsely populated which is nice if you enjoy privacy and quiet. There is shopping within a couple miles and many delicious restaurants nearby. Our favorites: The Fat Hen (amazing!) and Bohickits Marina. Charleston is only about 20-30 mins away and Kiawah and Folly Beach (both interesting places) also nearby. Our trip was relaxing and a breath of fresh air as we enjoyed this beautiful villa surrounded by the breathtaking natural scenery. Highly recommended. Thanks again Sue!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Our family rented oceanfront properties on Kiawah Island each year from 2001-2004 and first rented a property on Seabrook Island in summer 2006. With young children, we found that we much preferred the pool amenities and atmosphere on Seabrook and have returned each summer since. Last year, we rented this property for two weeks, and it was the best experience we have had in the Kiawah/Seabrook area for several reasons. The property has spectacular ocean views from almost every room, so you never forget you are on vacation. Unlike with many attached properties in the area, grills are allowed. The brand new Weber grill on the deck was key to our dinner almost every night. Most properties on Seabrook and almost all on Kiawah require a drive, long walk, or bike ride to the beach. This can become quite difficult with small children, particularly if you have chairs, toys, etc. in tow. The ocean is steps away from this villa, and there is an outdoor shower outside the front door. We generally spend our late afternoons on Seabrook at The Beach Club, which has pools, ocean views, food/drinks, and twice-weekly live music. We were able to walk to The Beach Club, even with our very small children. Again, no car or bike is necessary. When the tide is low, you can walk down the beach to The Beach Club in minutes. Many of the beach club villas on Seabrook are not truly 3 bedroom, but rather two bedrooms plus an open loft space with sleeping arrangements. The lofts are not a good fit for children that go to sleep earlier than the parents. This villa has three true bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. The upstairs pull-out sofa has convenient access to the master bath. Other pluses of the villa include clean, wonderfully comfortable, and updated accommodations and full-sized washer and dryer. The villa is extremely comfortable, and the owners genuinely care about the experiences of their renters. We are returning for two weeks this summer, and we highly, highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
Owner response: We are so thrilled that our little bit of paradise is becoming part of our guests fond memories of time together at "the beach house." It is truly a peaceful and renewing place.

About the owner: We first came to Seabrook in 2000 and fell in love with the natural beauty and welcoming people. We wish we could come more oftern, but have jobs in Ohio and just get to visit a couple times a year. Our family treasures each trip. We come home refreshed, awaiting our next get together at the beach.
Why the Owner Chose Beach Club Villas:
Every room has an ocean view. We always feel like we are on vacation...even scouring floors, and are renewed by each day we spend in our beachfron home. The boardwalk takes you right to the 3 1/2 mile beach....why not?!?
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
There is no place closer to the beach, dining and pools with the view and privacy of this two story home. It is quiet and peaceful with activities close at hand. Wonderful open floor plan with three bedrooms with full baths and two decks.
