We chose to stay here with all of our kids and pets because we have been here before. It is a lovely, clean, well supplied cabin that has a great setting to come relax. We took full advantage of each bedroom as we had our kids and their spouses and my mom. It made for a full house but a fun house too. The porch was a great hang out spot as was the living area. Only thing I would change is that I would add some sun light via sky lights as the cabin itself is really dark.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: So glad to have you back and that you had a great time with your family. There are so many tree's on the lot and in the summer I have come to love the shade. Thanks for the message Kathy

A group of 6 stayed for the weekend (3 couples). There was plenty of space for parking, in the living areas, kitchen and bedrooms. It is a short drive to Leavenworth. The area around the house has multiple properties surrounding, but the house, as well as the covered hot tub area is private. There is a nice walk up the road from the house. The owner was Wonderful at rescheduling our stay after a family emergency made it impossibe for us to stay the weekend we had planned. The home and property was very clean with plenty of towles and needed kitchen items. Wood was provided for the large fireplace in the livingroom. Only (minor) frusteration was one of the "king" beds is actually two twins put together and over the course of two nights seperated creating a large gap.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: So glad you had such as great times is a great place. I will take care of that kind bed with a full foam top for it so that won't happen again. Thanks for your heads up. Kathy

Kathy your place was beautiful! Better than even the pictures! We rent from VRBO at least twice a year and are kind of vacation snobs....we really like well apointed homes and yours was GREAT!!!! The kitchen is well stocked and everything you can think of is there. The bathrobes and slippers are a great touch, All the makings for a great fire, comfortable beds and linenes, toilet paper and paper towels, even hair dryers! The kids loved the sleds and we really enjoyed the cross country skiing over by the Plain Hardware Store. The groomed trails were a blast and great excersize. Fun to come home to the hottub and fire then to read a great book! We had just come from Whistler from a week of skiing or we would have taken advantage of the 25 mile drive up to Stevens. Your place is a jewel and all the care you put into it shows. Thanks again and look forward to coming back!..Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had an awesome stay at the Pine River Retreat. Very cozy and an 'at home' feel to it. The cabin had lots of space and accomodated our group of five well, we could have fit a lot more! The cabin had all the basic necessitities, it was if the owner really thought of everything that might be needed. Great location between Leavenworth and Stevens Pass. Would go again in a heart beat!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at the Pine River Retreat for a nearby wedding. What a great cabin! The kids loved the bunk beds and snuggling with the cabin "bears". Our daughter (age 7) enjoyed using the bike, and our son, (age 5) loved the Tonka trucks. They also enjoyed having their own TV in their room. The hot tub was a great way to unwind in the evenings and the new master suite was wonderful! This cabin is in nestled in a great neighborhood while still providing ample privacy. This cabin is well stocked, so we didn't want for much and it was great to be able to spread out. If you stay, be sure to visit the hardware store in nearby Plain for a latte and great gift items. I highly recommend this cabin and Kathy is great to work with!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Kathy - We love your Pine River Retreat in the woods of Leavenworth! We had a wonderful stay, waking up to snow each morning. The Lake Wenatchee snow park is so convenient and fun for sledding. We skied all 3 days at Stevens Pass. Your home is beautifully furnished and filled with all the conveniences of home. We love the new master suite! We hope to return!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pine River Retreat this weekend. We warmed up on the nordic tracks at the Plain Hardware store. The second day we enjoyed Lake Wenatchee and Kahler Glen. We were close to both areas and only 20 minutes to Leavenworth where we enjoyed the book store and the Nutcracker store. Pine River Retreat was clean and well appointed. Photos were accurate and helpful. It is beautifully decorated for a home in the mountain woods. We had all the comforts of home. Most of all, we appreciated three Large bedrooms with three large beds and each couple had their own bathroom. We had a great fire on Saturday and enjoyed eating together for meals. We would definitely return to Pine River Retreat in winter and may look into a summer adventure as well. Kathy was a friendly and prompt owner/manager.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
