Kathy - We love your Pine River Retreat in the woods of Leavenworth! We had a wonderful stay, waking up to snow each morning. The Lake Wenatchee snow park is so convenient and fun for sledding. We skied all 3 days at Stevens Pass. Your home is beautifully furnished and filled with all the conveniences of home. We love the new master suite! We hope to return!!

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pine River Retreat this weekend. We warmed up on the nordic tracks at the Plain Hardware store. The second day we enjoyed Lake Wenatchee and Kahler Glen. We were close to both areas and only 20 minutes to Leavenworth where we enjoyed the book store and the Nutcracker store. Pine River Retreat was clean and well appointed. Photos were accurate and helpful. It is beautifully decorated for a home in the mountain woods. We had all the comforts of home. Most of all, we appreciated three Large bedrooms with three large beds and each couple had their own bathroom. We had a great fire on Saturday and enjoyed eating together for meals. We would definitely return to Pine River Retreat in winter and may look into a summer adventure as well. Kathy was a friendly and prompt owner/manager.

We spent a snowy weekend here. It's very comfortable and cozy. It is very thoughtfully and generously appointed. While the price was steep for our small family of 3, the amount of care and attention put into making it a welcoming place was exceptional...much better than your average rental. The only thing missing was cell coverage or internet access. Internet access would be especially useful for checking weather, pass reports. There is a lovely path through the woods right up the hill. Great for kids and dogs. We highly recommend it.

Very comfortable and well furnished. The only complaints we had were that the kitchen garbage was full, there was personal laundry left in the washer, and the hot tub was gritty. Everything else was great.

What a great place to spend a weekend with girlfriends. This place is fully equipped for all your needs. The cozy mountain furnishings with a wood burning fire place make for a relaxing time with friends. Hot tub and covered deck add to the out door pleasures. Twenty minutes from down town Leavenworth with it's wealth of shopping and eating what more could you want!

We just spent the weekend at Pine River Retreat and had an absolutely fantastic time! This is my 5th stay at a VRBO property and overall (location, amenities, etc) it's been the best. The pictures of the cabin itself don't really capture what it feels like to walk in the door and immediately feel all your work-week troubles drift away. Kathy has decorated down to the littlest detail...fish soap holders to hanging antique ice skates. The furniture if cozy, comfortable and had it not been over 90 degrees when we visited we would have had the fireplace roaring! There were games for us to play every night after dinner and the stereo is connected outside so that was a treat for us to enjoy as well while sitting on the porch. The kitchen is welcoming with lots of everything you could think of or need to cook a meal for 4 hungry teenagers (and us parents). The dining room seated all 7 of us at once so we could have family mealtimes which were fabulous! The bedrooms were roomy and were perfectly in tune with our needs (the bed in the bunk-room is a king) and the beds themselves were reported by everyone to be very comfortable. The new master suite is gorgeous and very roomy. The fireplace insert was enjoyed every night; but because it was so hot, we had the ceiling fan on at night and it was a bit intimidating as it is a bit too low...if you are tall you'll need to be careful!! It was wonderful having the float tubes available, however, not all of them held air and should probably be replaced. We very much enjoyed the hot tub though having a bug zapper back there as well as the one on the front porch/deck would be VERY welcome! Lake Wenatchee is less than 5 minutes away and we spent a LOT of time there - it's gorgeous and they have a roped off swim area. It's a for-fee state park and the cost is $10/day or $30/anual. If you're just wanting to float the river, there are pull-off sites along the road to the cabin from HWY 2 that are free and very fun. If you plan to drive in to Leavenworth, I suggest taking the scenic route through Plain..the scenery is beautiful!! We have all decided that we want to make this an annual vacation spot because it was just so wonderful - Kathy had great communication prior to our arrival and everything went smoothly during our stay! We just wanted to say thank you and we will definitely be back!!! If you are looking for a wonderful, relaxing, quiet place to enjoy the outdoors...this is definitely where you should be!

We were looking for a quiet weekend without the kids, and this cabin worked out perfectly. It is very well stocked, with ample kitchen supplies, firewood, TVs, etc. It was very clean and we enjoyed staying here. We used the firewood and one of the two gas grills, we cooked some of our meals here, and all in all were very happy. The hot tub looked great but we never made use of it. The only considerations, which aren't necessarily drawbacks, is the DVD players - of which there is one in the main living room and one in each of the two bedrooms - aren't Blu-Ray players, so the discs we brought with us we were unable to watch. Not a huge deal. Also, there is no Internet access, and AT&T didn't have great coverage for our cell phones. This is great if you want to disconnect and unwind, but at least you will know. We brought our three small dogs and it worked out to be a great fit for them as well. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this cabin.

Cabin and neighborhood is beautiful. It snowed and we felt like we were in a snow globe especially at Wenatchee Lake. Roads in area plowed well. Cabin couldn't be cozier. It was all so serene. You Can get a Christmas tree permit at local store near park for $5.00. So we even cut our own tree to take home on top of car. We have made wonderful memories this Thanksgiving and we didn't want to leave this wonderful cabin and it's surroundings. Choose this one.

This cabin provided the perfect retreat for our family to say good-bye to summer... It had everything and more of what we needed! The kitchen was well-equipped to make all the terrific meals we had planned, the bedrooms and living spaces were very comfortable too. We loved enjoying a fire with a glass of wine on the covered porch every evening and even some mornings with a cup of coffee. We took Kathy's suggestions and spent a day at Lake Wenatchee, hiked Hidden Lake and tubed the Wenatchee. We loved using all the tubes that were available- it was so nice not to have to rent some for tubing. The only problem we had was that it got kind of cold and overcast during our trip so we were more than ready to get out of the river after 2 hours!! But thankfully the cabin has a terrific hot tub to warm us up when we got back...Our two kids and even our dog loved this mini-vacation. We will definitely be back! My husband, kids and especially our dog had such a good time there- thanks for sharing it with us. It felt like such a getaway...

Every conceivable detail is lovingly presented in this charming vacation property. It's warm, meticulously maintained and totally oriented to those who want to bask in a comfy stuffed chair, read a book and enjoy a glass of wine, perhaps for weeks! - You may find every single item you need exactly where YOU would put it, Kathy's flair for decoration and accomodation is beyond compare. The property is only minutes from Fish Lake, Leavenworth and a brief ride to Steven's for Skiing. There's even two restaurants, a gas station and a market within 3 minutes of the property, yet you would never know they were even there. You are not likely to find a more well appointed and functional getaway retreat than this beautiful property.

Will we take advantage of Pine River Retreat again?!?! Absolutely!! We had an amazing time with our kids and met up with some family from the Seattle area as well!! The cabin is perfect in every way - beautifully decorated, extremely clean and well-cared for!! Without a doubt, the kitchen is fully stocked with any kind of utensil, accessory, appliance you could need. Pine River Retreat exceeded every expectation we could have had!! The scenery around the area was gorgeous and the drive to Leavenworth, Lake Wenatchee and the golf course is very quick and easy as well!! Thank You!!!!!!

We chose this cabin for an anniversary getaway. What a treat! Everything was in perfect order, it was a complete hassle- free weekend. Just what we were looking for, quiet, peaceful, serene, and romantic. The cabin was exquisitely decorated down to the tiniest detail. I will look into the San Juan rentals as well, we were so pleased!

We had a really nice stay at the Pine River Retreat. A couple of questions came up, and Kathy was very responsive. The cabin was clean, and she had a cozy blanket that was to die for! The jacuzzi was too hot to get in on our first day there, and it took quite awhile to cool down, so we really couldn't use it until our last day. But, other than that, it was a very clean, comfortable cabin in a good location.

We had an incredible stay at the Pine River Retreat. The accommodations were impeccable and the details in decoration and convenience were outstanding. We will be coming again and hopefully making this a regular. Thank you for being pet friendly. Our lab definitely enjoyed herself. We have emailed everyone we know, especially those with pets, about your wonderful retreat. Thank you.

Wow! Absolutely beautiful, wonderful, relaxing, quiet, peaceful,I could go on. First, the pictures of the cabin on the website don't do it justice. First, the surrounding area and the outside of the cabin are beautiful but then when you go inside the cabin it is much larger then the picures show. The sleeping accommodations are top notch. My family and I (total of 6) all slept comfortably. Everday we found new things to do like shopping in Leavenworth or just hanging out at the cabin biking and playing in the river. There's something for every age at the Pine River Retreat. The prices were very reasonable to rent the cabin so if you are interested in staying in the Leavenworth area make sure to book early because dates go fast. We will be going back next year since everyone had so much fun. Thanks Kathy!

We had a wonderful time at your cabin. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! The cabin's comforts truly exceeded our expectations; we particularly enjoyed the fireplace, the comfy beds, the wonderfully equipped kitchen, and the hot tub. We hope to visit again.
