"Nye Beach Overlook" is a spacious, well-equipped four bedroom, two and a half bathroom home on a quiet street in the heart of Nye Beach. Ocean views from kitchen, dining area, living room, and two bedrooms. Private hot tub with ocean view. Great for families, reunions, retreats, and groups of ten or fewer. Intriguing shops, terrific restaurants and beach access are all less than a two-minute walk from Overlook's front door. Pet friendly, with fee.
Upstairs is a vaulted great room with gas fireplace, comfortable couches and arm chairs and a high definition TV. Large kitchen with eat-in counter, plus dining table large enough to seat ten. Wall of windows looking out to sea and down to Nye Beach shops. Also upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a King-size bed, one with a Queen-size. Full bath is located in the hallway between the bedrooms.
Downstairs are two more bedrooms, each with a King-size bed. Master bedroom has its own full bath. Doors from each bedroom lead directly out onto the spacious, glass enclosed private patio with barbeque area and hot tub. There is also a half bath, laundry area and a two-car garage downstairs.
YOU WILL LOVE OUR LOCATION: Two minute walk to the heart of Nye Beach. Two minute walk to put your toes in the sand. You won't have to walk more than 10 minutes to any of over a dozen great eateries - from trendy Nana's Irish Kitchen & Pub to the homey Chowder Bowl, fresh baked breads and pastries at Panini, fresh-baked pie at the Nye Beach Market, fabulous dinners at April's and Panache, breakfast at Cafe Stephanie, pizza from Savory Cafe, yummy things from Nye Beach Sweets.... Can you tell that we love our local restaurants? There is something delicious in Nye Beach for every taste and budget.
The Performing Arts Center, Visual Arts Center and galleries are all within a ten minute walk. Ten minute drive to the Bay Front and Yaquina Bay Lighthouse and State Park. Fifteen minute drive south to the Newport Aquarium, Hatfield Marine Science Center and north to Yaquina Head Lighthouse and its Marine Wildlife Interpretive Center. The Newport shuttle will take you to all these locations for free! Ample shuttle passes available at Overlook for use during your stay.
There are two places to access the beach near Overlook. The Nye Beach Turnaround is the closest - just 3 blocks away, with picnic tables, a place to wash the sand off your feet and public bathrooms. The second is the Donald Davis park, a few blocks further south, at Olive and Coast streets. This beach access has a long winding paved path down a bluff to the beach, some cool sculptures, public restrooms and a memorial to sailors lost at sea.
For you golfers, the Agate Beach golf course is just 15 minutes away and the beautiful course at Salishan is 30 minutes away. Too foggy on the coast? Try the Olalla Valley Golf Course a few miles inland - almost always sunny!
