Beautifully decorated mountain home with spectacular views of Grandfather Mountain. Only minutes away is Downtown Blowing Rock, a quaint little town with excellent restaurants, antique shops, and a beautiful park with regularly scheduled events, a pool and tennis courts. Also conveniently located in town are Shoppes on The Park, with designer outlet stores and nearby Price Park with a mountain top lake that offers canoeing and rowboating.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is only a few miles away and offers scenic drives on the Viaduct, many great hiking trails, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Skiing and snow boarding are available within a couple of miles at Appalachian Ski Mountain Resort. Tweetsie Railroad is located nearby and offers entertainment for the entire family. Grandfather Mountain is about a 20 minute drive and has the Mile High Swinging Bridge along with a zoo. Appalachian State University is also about 20 minutes North in Boone, North Carolina. Our home is conveniently located in the Ansley Heights subdivision, off Highway 221, right next to the famous Wesglow Spa. Travel+Leisure magazine ranked Wesglow Spa as the seventh-best destination spa in the world in 2006!
Relax by the fireplace in the spacious living room or watch the sun set over the mountain range from the large deck. Located nearby are shops, great restaurants, several lakes with canoe rentals, beautiful streams for trout fishing, spectacular views from the Grandfather Viaduct Bridge with many great hiking trails.
Find everything you need in the fully equipped kitchen along with a breakfast table for 4. The vaulted ceiling in living room has a stone fireplace and windows galore with beautiful mountain views, a 30 inch Cable TV with DVD/VCR and queen sleeper sofa. A huge dining table seats 10 for large family gatherings. The huge master bedroom is on the main level with a queen size bed, TV and sitting area. The master bath has a large walk-in closet. A powder room is also located on the main level. Downstairs is another full bathroom along with 2 very spacious bedrooms, with a queen bed and TV in one and 2 twins in the other.
