"Cottage in the Forest"
This beautiful little cottage is tucked into a small forest, with a view of the Hanalei Mountains. Where you will awaken each morning to the symphony of sounds and sights of a peaceful rural mountain setting.
Our three and a half Acre Property is located at the end of a cul-de-sac, and just a few steps across the property brings you to a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains and Kalihiwai River Valley.
Enjoy the endlessly fascinating interaction and play of the resident birds and animals. Chickens, Ducks, Peacocks, Goats, Dogs, Cats and Horses, all co-exist on our property and provide hours of entertainment.
All this is only five minutes from the beautiful Kalihiwai Bay, where the river enters the ocean. It is our favorite beach, great for boogie boarding and surfing. Also a five minute drive takes you to Anini Beach, a very long beach with a double reef, where you can spend your days: Wind Surfing, Kayaking, Sailing or just enjoying the Ocean environment. Anini has a large Beach park and on Sunday's there is usually a Polo match.
You will be only 15 minutes from the world famous Hanalei Bay and the Princeville Resort, where you will find the 27 hole Makai Golf Course, the world class Prince Golf Course, and the Princeville Shopping Center. There are two Horse Riding Stables very near by, and the North Shore boasts many hiking trails.
The accommodations are light, airy and beautifully furnished. The claw foot tub in the bathroom is especially charming and looks out a corner picture window on to a private garden.
We love it here and love sharing the unique charm and quiet country atmosphere. Best of all, we are only minutes from some of the best beaches in the world.

This place was AMAZING! You have given us an unforgettable start to our new life as husband & wife. We will miss waking up to the cries of peacocks & roosters every morning! Kauai is a beautiful island & we enjoyed the magnificent scenery...yet, the part we looked forward to the most was coming home to this little paradise. We will definitley see you again soon!

What a delightful Oasis! It was as if someone placed us on a cloud & gently set us down in the middle of this beautiful, lush setting. So quiet, remote, natural & teeming with life. The feathered friends, as well as those with fur, were a great addition. We looked forward to the morning & afternoon visits with ducks, chickens, peacocks, cats, dogs, goats, horses - and of course, Moki, who graced us with lively conversation & a shoulder landing.

This was such a wonderful, beautiful experience! We felt tucked away in the beauty of Kaua'i - comfy & cozy - the tub was my favorite! Tony enjoyed his morning run in this gorgeous neighborhood.
