Location: Maggie Valley, Smoky Mountains, North Carolina, USA (about an hour from asheville in the smokey mountains)

Accommodations:  Log Cabin Home, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 6)

This new log home on a half acre of land sits on a mountain side overlooking Maggie Valley, with an unobstructed view of several mountains and the valley below. The winding road up is paved, and about 10 minutes from Highway 19. The cabin sits at about 4100 feet elevation.

There is a wrap-around covered porch running the length of the cabin overlooking the valley, with a six-person hot tub on one end. The furniture is plush and comfortable, and with satellite television and the hot tub, there is not a more cozy place.

You will be only ten minutes from the quaint town of Maggie Valley, where there are several wonderful restaurants and lots of craft and gift shops, as well as gorgeous mountain views. Going the opposite direction takes you into Cherokee in about fifteen minutes, with gambling casinos and tourist attractions, or you can take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. In 20 minutes, you can be on Main Street in Waynesville, with restaurants, antiques, and shopping galore. Asheville is just 45 minutes away, and Gatlinburg, Tennessee only an hour or so.

If you are like us, you will not want to leave the cabin! Everyone falls in love with the place; the view from the porch takes your breath away. There is no greater get-away than the Great Smoky Mountains, and this is the perfect spot to enjoy them!

  • We had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful cabin Thanksgiving of 2006 and had a wonderful time. The cabin has an AMAZING view of downtown Maggie Valley and the night sky is so full of stars that you feel as if you can reach out and touch them. The cabin is located close to everything, but yet secluded and quiet. We hope to stay there again this fall. Thank you for an amazing vacation!
