Come visit our classy, cozy, calming condo at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort, which has a 700 ft. Lazy River, heated Waterfall pool, Gradual decline pool, charcoal grills, picnic tables, and more!
We welcome you to enjoy our favorite family vacation spot here on Okaloosa Island. Our soothing condo is perfect for a family vacation or a couples retreat. Destin West has so many amenities to choose from and is in the perfect location right in the middle of Destin and Fort Walton Beach. You won't regret vacationing here on the beautiful emerald coast.
Our condo is a corner Lanai unit with a private entrance to the lazy river right off of our patio! You can't beat the direct access right off of our large porch! We are beside the only entrance to the pool area which makes lugging towels, coolers, etc... a breeze especially if you have small children. Another wonderful feature of our Lanai unit is you can walk right from our patio to the bay and picnic table area. Grilling steaks as the sun goes down and bringing them straight to our large patio table for a fun family night.
The amenities are amazing at Destin West with 700 sq. ft. of Lazy River, a (heated in winter waterfall pool, a gradual decline pool(perfect for small children), 2 large hot tubs, a grassy picnic area by the bay with palm trees, picnic benches, and 6 charcoal grills.
You also have access to all amenities across the street on the beach side, which includes a 5,000 sq. ft. pool, a kiddy pool, a large hot tub, Splash Gardens (a kiddy water playground area), and a state of the art gym. The Gulfarium, Crab Trap seafood restaurant, fishing pier, shops, and much more are all within walking distance across the street. The beach and bayside buildings have a safe WALKOVER so you no longer have to worry about traffic. Cross back and forth from the lazy river and bay to the beachside with ease!
Fish on the translucent bay or watch the sailboats, boats, and jet-ski's motor by. Dolphins swim in the bay and you can see them throughout the year.

- Charcoal BBQ Grill (6) : There are many charcoal grills and picnic tables located between the lazy river and bay for you to grill out and throw a frisbee on the large grassy area. Easy access from the Lanai units like ours!
- Deck/Patio : The Lanai units like this one, have an extra large tiled patio. We have a large wooden table and chairs for 6 people. Great for eating outside and enjoying the palm trees and the lazy river.
- Lanai : These ground level units are referred to as Lanai's. They have the larger porches which have a roof as well as steps leading to the lazy river.

- Waterfront, not Lake/Oceanfront. Ask for details : This is a bayside unit at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort. You can swim in the bay and the waters are more calm. Great for fishing, picking up hermit crabs, sailing, pontoon boats or jet ski's. The beach is right across the street. A fast 3-5 min. walk.

The Unit we stayed in was awesome, great location, beautiful scenery, it was a wonderful experience.It was so clean and comfortable. Even my 3 year old wants to know when we going back to the house that has a pool on the porch. she absolutley enjoyed herself.

We have stayed at this property before, but not specifically in this unit. We enjoyed the location of this unit and liked how easy it was for our young children to access the pool and lazy river. Everything was just as it was represented in the description - very clean, well-equipped and extremely comfortable. The location of the property is fantastic as you have easy access to all the activities and restaurants in both Fort Walton and in Destin. The owner was responsive, helpful and efficient in all communications and the reservation process was seamless. All of these aspects made the week that much more enjoyable. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay! The condo was clean and very comfortable. The laundry and fully stocked kitchen were wonderful. The location is ideal for families with younger children who need to return to the condo frequently for the bathroom, snacks, forgotten toys.... Our boys loved the lazy river, especially at night. The walk to the beach is quick. Unfortunately, there was a ton of "June grass" at the beach across the street and we weren't able to enjoy swimming in it. However, we drove up to Destin and were able to find a public beach that was clear and beautiful! We went with a large group and rented 2 Lanai units in the Pelican building. This was very convenient for kids or adults to visit throughout the day.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful condo with my family. We had a wonderful time...the condo was exactly how the manager describe...easy, easy access to the Lazy River...Zero Entry Pool...fishing on the bay....hot tub's...swimming...boat dock...beach....just easy - did not have to get in the car to access anything...walked everywhere - the manager was available and easy to talk with. Would recommend this condo to any family that wants a vacation package that is inclusive and doesn't want to drive anywhere to enjoy themselves. Also, very family oriented - quiet time is after 10PM and I mean it is quiet - very well managed....and clean!

This condo was great. location was super we have 4 girls and we all fit great. the bunk room was super for teens. we really enjoyed our vacation and are looking forward to returning next year. Love Love Loved it so much, the kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking supplies and the in house laundry a super plus for all those swim suit changes we made. the fireworks show on the fourth of july was the greatest thing ever and the beaches in the evening were lots of fun too. Mother nature did send some June grass but thats okay we loved everyminute of it.

Absolutely perfect location!!! Well stocked kitchen and VERY comfortable bed!!! The location of the condo was perfect, very convenient to the lazy river, pool, crossover to gulf, etc. Really wish we could have had access to the garage..that would be my only minor complaint!! My son is 4 and really enjoyed this vacation...said it was his best ever!!

We spent the week of 5/15-5/22 of 2010 at this condo and had the greatest time. It was our 4th year staying at Destin West and our favorite lanai yet. So convenient for our kiddos (6 and 3) that we had direct access to the pool deck, a short walk (or drive) across the street to the gulf side, *extremely* clean and well cared for (brand new carpet-yay!!)...the whole week was heaven. The condo's kitchen is well stocked with anything you need when cooking and dining in. Decor is very nicely chosen, and again...clean, clean, clean! We will definitely be back, A+ trip!

We enjoyed our stay so much...our boys said "it's the best place we've stayed yet" and are already saying that's where they want to stay again next year!! The weather was: Great! Even though Hurricane Gustav hit the gulf, we only had 1 day of rain. Some wonderful things we did: Boardwalk, pier, beach and the pools! The outlet mall was great! We loved the condo and didn't want to leave!!! Thanks so much. My girls had so much fun in the pool and lazy river!!
