We had a wonderful week at this condo! Everything was as advertised or better. The bunk room was perfect for our older kids (8,6) and our youngest had room to sleep in the master with us. This condo is very well maintained and fully stocked with everything we could have needed, I've never been in a rental with such a selection of (nice) cookware. We were impressed also at the overall maintenance of the common areas. Staff were visible at the pool cleaning up in the mornings and evenings and around the buildings during the day. I was worried that we would rather be on the beachside, and we may end up trying that with the same rental group next time, but the walk was really easy even for our 3 year old. Bill was quick with responses, informative and a pleasure to work with!

We had a fantastic stay and can't wait to go back. This unit has the best location of any for families with young kids, we have 3. Easy to run back from the pool for sunblock, a quick snack etc. Great setup- Everything we needed was there. We loved the Lazy River, Beach, pools and sitting outside on the patio for breakfast every morning. We will come back and hope to find this same unit available!!!

Very well appointed condo. Was very clean, and well maintained! Unit description was accurate ! Owner provided VERY good service! Would recommend this to anyone.Lazy river was very relaxing! Wife and I would recommend the Black Pearl, as a GREAT restaurant, at the Boradwalk, short walk across the street.You will enjoy this condo!!

This unit was very clean, and well maintained! Would recommend to anyone. Wife and I would recommend the Black Pearl as a execllent place to eat, on the Boradwalk, within walking distance. Reservactions were flawless! Bill was very good to work with!! Unit has GREAT location !! Can't say enough !

Our stay in the Lanai Condo at Destin West was the best vacation rental ever! The owners are so nice to work with and very informative with all of our questions. The condo is a ground level corner unit which opens up from your own balcony directly to the lazy river, pools and hot tubs. The pictures in the advertisement did not do it justice enough! It was very lovely and exceptionally clean. I really loved the washer and dryer being located in the unit. The kitchen was very well equipped with cooking utensils and cook ware. The entire complex was very quiet and peaceful. I could not have asked for anything else! If this sounds like the type of vacation you are looking for, I highly recommend it!

We have stayed at this property before, but not specifically in this unit. We enjoyed the location of this unit and liked how easy it was for our young children to access the pool and lazy river. Everything was just as it was represented in the description - very clean, well-equipped and extremely comfortable. The location of the property is fantastic as you have easy access to all the activities and restaurants in both Fort Walton and in Destin. The owner was responsive, helpful and efficient in all communications and the reservation process was seamless. All of these aspects made the week that much more enjoyable. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful condo with my family. We had a wonderful time...the condo was exactly how the manager describe...easy, easy access to the Lazy River...Zero Entry Pool...fishing on the bay....hot tub's...swimming...boat dock...beach....just easy - did not have to get in the car to access anything...walked everywhere - the manager was available and easy to talk with. Would recommend this condo to any family that wants a vacation package that is inclusive and doesn't want to drive anywhere to enjoy themselves. Also, very family oriented - quiet time is after 10PM and I mean it is quiet - very well managed....and clean!

We really enjoyed our stay! The condo was clean and very comfortable. The laundry and fully stocked kitchen were wonderful. The location is ideal for families with younger children who need to return to the condo frequently for the bathroom, snacks, forgotten toys.... Our boys loved the lazy river, especially at night. The walk to the beach is quick. Unfortunately, there was a ton of "June grass" at the beach across the street and we weren't able to enjoy swimming in it. However, we drove up to Destin and were able to find a public beach that was clear and beautiful! We went with a large group and rented 2 Lanai units in the Pelican building. This was very convenient for kids or adults to visit throughout the day.

This condo was great. location was super we have 4 girls and we all fit great. the bunk room was super for teens. we really enjoyed our vacation and are looking forward to returning next year. Love Love Loved it so much, the kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking supplies and the in house laundry a super plus for all those swim suit changes we made. the fireworks show on the fourth of july was the greatest thing ever and the beaches in the evening were lots of fun too. Mother nature did send some June grass but thats okay we loved everyminute of it.

Absolutely perfect location!!! Well stocked kitchen and VERY comfortable bed!!! The location of the condo was perfect, very convenient to the lazy river, pool, crossover to gulf, etc. Really wish we could have had access to the garage..that would be my only minor complaint!! My son is 4 and really enjoyed this vacation...said it was his best ever!!

We spent the week of 5/15-5/22 of 2010 at this condo and had the greatest time. It was our 4th year staying at Destin West and our favorite lanai yet. So convenient for our kiddos (6 and 3) that we had direct access to the pool deck, a short walk (or drive) across the street to the gulf side, *extremely* clean and well cared for (brand new carpet-yay!!)...the whole week was heaven. The condo's kitchen is well stocked with anything you need when cooking and dining in. Decor is very nicely chosen, and again...clean, clean, clean! We will definitely be back, A+ trip!

The weather was: Great! Even though Hurricane Gustav hit the gulf, we only had 1 day of rain. Some wonderful things we did: Boardwalk, pier, beach and the pools! The outlet mall was great! We loved the condo and didn't want to leave!!! Thanks so much. My girls had so much fun in the pool and lazy river!!

The weather was: Great until Friday afternoon (cloudy and breezy) Some wonderful things we did: Beach, crabbing in the bay What we saw and discovered: This was our 4th year at Destin West bayside. We discovered the Harborwalk had been extended and has many shops and dining. Moments & glimpses: The Harborwalk had a military Hero Tribute on Thursday that honored a serviceman. It included Highstep dancers and at 9pm fireworks -AWESOME!! Liked Pepito's Mexican Restaurant best and as always our annual crab claws at AJ's.

The weather was: Wonderful! Every bit of rain went right passed us. It was the perfect temperature the whole trip. Some wonderful things we did: We snorkeled at the beach and in the bay. We found some pretty cool shells. Ate at Fudpuckers (Yum!). The boys went deep sea fishing and limited out on fish. The girls parasailed. We had a blast. Thanks for sharing your wonderful condo with us. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Florida is way different than Texas. It makes a fun little vacation!

Some wonderful things we did: We went to the Zoo one day. The kids loved it. The Track, fishing off of the pier, played frisbee on the beach. The mall, movies, Osaka restaurant, Floyd's, Fudpuckers, McGuires Irish Pub (very good). What we saw and discovered: We went crabbing in the bay during the day and at night. Very fun. The kiddos loved the Zoo and the train ride. Fishing from the pier was great. Sitting on the beach in the late evening watching the sunset was unforgettable. Moments & glimpses: Watching the kids play on the beach and in the wonderful pools. Just sitting and relaxing and soaking in the sun and the peacefulness of the sound of the crashing waves. Very relaxing when the kiddos let us. The condo was perfect. The perfect place to get away. We stayed at this same complex last year and loved your condo best. Very comfortable. We felt very much at home. We didn't want for any any comforts at home. It was already here. Thank you for sharing your place with us. We WILL visit again.

The weather was: Perfectly hot, no rain, and a nice breeze on the beach. Some wonderful things we did: Boogie boarded, always a blast in the lazy river, relaxed in the hot tubs, and lots of sun. What we saw and discovered: We discovered the fun of the bay this trip and "crabbed" with our little nets. Exploring the harbor in Destin was a fun time as well. Moments & glimpses: Having a great family time in a perfect "home" away from home was the best. Everything about the condo was wonderful. The kids are already planning our next trip. The Unit we stayed in was awesome, great location, beautiful scenery, it was a wonderful experience.It was so clean and comfortable. Even my 3 year old wants to know when we going back to the house that has a pool on the porch. she absolutley enjoyed herself.
