This listing was exactly what it described; the views of the mountains and valley are awesome; the house is clean & comfortable; the furnishings are in excellent conditions; the bathrooms are clean and spacious, the house is in good condition & very clean. Owners are always willing to answer any questions or concerns we have, and are truthful. We would recommend this house to our friends and family without hesitation. The town has plenty of arts & crafts to see - buy, the restaurants are great, hiking trails plenty, sports for summer & winter available year round. We recommend the "Laughing Ladies" restaurant and the Twisted Cork, great steaks. We have stayed in this house several times and will again and again. Beautiful location.

The setting is beautiful!! The community is very quite. The town is cute & very friendly people. We really enjoyed our stay. The wifi & Netflix were great added bonuses! The owners are great to work with also! Monarch was a nice, more affordable ski experience, much more budget friendly! We would love to go back sometime!

The house was perfect. We loved the hummingbirds, they came in like little fighter pilots. They certainly had no fear of humans. The view from the front deck was wonderful. I personally enjoyed the one off the bedroom. One day we had some clouds come through, swirling around the peaks across the valley, giving us a light sprinkle, and a beautiful rainbow to the east. One night there was a muledeer in the yard, the wasn't really concerned about us. Any drive or walk you take is going to be scenic. Rent a jeep. If you're flatlanders like we are, bicycling may be a little ambitious. Overall, a Five Star Vacation. Thanks

This house was a great rental for my wifes birthday weekend. Great views and close to town. We had a great time snowmobiling at Monarch and relaxing at the house. Thanks for letting us stay at your house.

Great location. We rafted, ziplined (lots of fun), played miniature golf, and ate at several very nice Salida restaurants. We also made day trips to the Royal Gorge and Great Sand Dunes; then sat out on the deck and enjoyed the quiet evenings and mornings. Just what we were looking for.

The view from this house is great! The house backs up to National forest lands so you can walk out the back door and take a hike and enjoy mother nature. I really enjoyed my stay at this home ( and Salida is really a relaxing place). Enjoy.

Really enjoyed the magnificent views of the Sangre de Cristo and Sawatch mountains form the deck and living room. My wife Ann absolutely loves the décor in the living room. The sleek modern design paired with antiques makes a wonderful combination. I would never have imagined finding such a sophisticated look in a mountain home retreat. From the Thomas Hart Benton print to the Guernica wall hanging-SUPERB! A feast for the eyes as well as a welcome departure from the all too common “cutsie” clutter one finds. Our compliments,

We were the first renters of this property and the description and photos are a great representation of the house. The house is close to Salida, and all of the related amenities, yet quiet and peaceful. The views and breezes from the deck are wonderful as is the view from the main room of the house. I would definitely recommend this house to others.
