The house from the dock - Glen Arbor, Michigan Vacation Rental FABULOUS NORTH SHORE BIG GLEN HOME. We appreciate that demand has been VERY high, and we are now FULL FOR THE SUMMER (through 9/12) There are still some Fall 2008 dates available up through the end of October. WE ARE ACCEPTING INQUIRIES FOR SUMMER 2009, though no decisions can be made for some time in order to first accomodate family and returning guests. This unique, cozy, one-of-a-kind, four bedroom, two bathroom house/cottage (built in stages between the mid 1940's and 1950's) was originally owned and occupied by the renowned architect, Harford Field. The house sits on a 40 foot bluff with glorious, unobstructed views of Big Glen. Private stairs take you down to over 110 feet of private frontage on Michigan's most beautiful lake. This is an all weather home with all amenities up to date. The yard is spacious and private. Just two "doors" west of the Glen Lake Yatch Club, the house is a short one mile walk, bike ride, or drive to downtown Glen Arbor shops, restaurants, and tennis courts. The house is literally in the "center" of all that this area has to offer. The beautiful Crystal River, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Empire Bluffs, and "Big Lake" beaches are minutes from the house. The water in front of the house is shallow with a sandy bottom, ideal for young children and adults alike. There is a private dock and mooring for those who have, or wish to rent, boats or jet-skis. New roof, repairs, and all outside painting completed (fall, 2006). New lawn furniture (2007); high speed internet, VHS/DVD/Cable, etc.(2007). Yard and house care and cleaning, bed/bath and beach linens, and full kitchen facilities, flatware, dishes, pots & pans, gadgets, etc. are all provided. Just bring your food and beverages! Our family has excitedly gathered here for decades. Call for more information. COME JOIN THE FUN! Standard: Weekly Rentals: Saturday (4pm) to Saturday (10am)
Sep, Oct  ............... $2800/week .. $400/night (3 night minimum).
June through Labor Day .. $3500/week .. $500/night (5 night minimum).
Mulitple weeks, extensions or short stays may be available upon request.
Deposit 50% weekly rental to reserve and hold reservation, balance due
60 days prior to occupancy. If cancelled, receive credit for same year stay or
deposit MAY be refunded (less $200 cancellation fee) IF week can be re-rented.
A $300 security deposit (refundable if no damage) will be required.
