Timpanogos from a romantic soaking tub for two. 16 foot ceilings offer an open, airy feel, while original heart pine floors and a native stone fireplace reflect the warm, rustic atmosphere of Sundance. Over 20 wild turkeys run our property during the day, and the nature deck is active with a wide variety of birds (even woodpeckers.) Our resident squirrel (Lucille) and striking Steller's jays always put on a show for the treats we leave our guests to feed them, while at night, a raccoon often visits our viewing deck, and the deer are regular visitors.

As a four season resort, Sundance has a wide variety of wonderful activities available to the public year round. Besides all the traditional activities such as skiing, biking, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, etc., take a beautiful chair lift ride during the warmer seasons (including evening rides under the full moon), watch a movie outdoors, attend an art workshop, take a guided bird watching hike, or pamper yourself at the Sundance spa. You will have the time of your life at this beautiful resort!

Directions to the cabin from Salt Lake City Airport:

Fastest Route - through Salt Lake valley and Orem/Provo (about 60 minutes from SLC airport)

Take I-15 South from SLC. airport. Drive Approx 40 miles. Take the Orem, 8th North exit and drive East toward the mountains. After Approx. 4 miles you will arrive at the Provo Canyon entrance. Drive Approx. 8 miles and proceed through a tunnel in the mountainside. Make the first left turn (about 1/4 mile after exiting the tunnel) and drive Approx. 2 miles up this side canyon and turn left onto Stuart Road (just after you've passed Sundance Resort). Take a quick right onto Timp Haven Road. Drive Approx. 1/2 mile. Pass by Meadows Drive. The cabin is located about 1/10th mile ahead on the right side of the road. It's set back in the trees and is only visible from the road during winter months. The street address (#8928) is posted on a massive rock that sits just above a stone retaining wall. A large Dream Catcher hangs from a tree above the sign. Turn in and park. The cabin is to the right.

Scenic Route - through Park City area (about 70 minutes from SLC airport)

Take I-80 East toward Cheyenne, Wyoming. Drive approximately 20 miles through Parleys’ Canyon and up into the Park City area. Take I-40 East toward Heber. (Note: Take highway #224 instead of I-40 East if you plan to stop in Park City along your way.) Stay on I-40 East for approximately 20 miles and drive through downtown Heber. When you get to the far end of town, turn right (at a large intersection) onto highway #189 toward Provo and drive about 12 miles. Stay in the right lane when 189 widens into additional lanes and turn right into the first side canyon (usually there's a "Sundance" sign marking the canyon.) This side canyon is just before 189 turns into a tunnel cutting through the mountainside. *from this point, refer to the 1st set of driving directions to get to the cabin.

*Call if you'd like driving directions through Scenic American
Fork Canyon.

Comment from guest book at cabin) Dear Trieste, Our stay in your beautiful mountain cabin will be remembered by Lorne and I forever. Your attention to every little detail & marvelous flair for decorating made our honeymoon and Valentine's day very, very special. This place is truly nature at it's best! Lucille (squirrel) is a joy, the Steller's Jays visited us every morning, singing happily, with rewards of peanuts which they devoured! On our 2nd day we were surprised by the gobble gobble of many turkeys, and we were pleased when the curious raccoons stopped by the windows for a welcomed visit. The views from the tub at sunset were spectacular! Unforgettable, that is what our stay has been. We are both very sad to be leaving but hope to return yearly. Oh, almost forgot, the skiing "FANTASTIC." Love & Many thanks! Janice & Lorne

(comment from cabin guestbook) We loved it here and we love Sundance! I am so happy my husband chose this piece of heaven to be together at and ski. Our son watched Lucille the squirrel eat the stuffing out of the snowman decoration on the deck table. She took pieces of stuffing away to the trees. We took the snowman away, but when we put it back, she came for more! Funny little squirrel. Thank you for the Christmas tree and the fresh garland. We look forward to coming back. Merry Christmas. Dan, Teresa and Joshua

(comment from cabin guest book) Trieste, Wow! What can we say? This place is incredible… and has such a positive and strong energy about it! Our weekend get-a-way was way to short!! Next time we plan to stay much longer, if we can! And… this short visit was still sweet and wonderful. I can’t imagine a better way to have spent my 49th birthday. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Blesings to you, Nan & Cyndi

(note from guest book at cabin) We enjoyed our stay here so much! Your Cabin is beautifully decorated. It gave us some tips for our own home. We love the location. Sundance is so awesome! We rode the lift and went horseback riding and bonded as a family. Your lounge chairs (on deck) are so comfortable and we had such a relaxing weekend. We also loved the shower. Thank you so much for everything. The Griffiths

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We have enjoyed the natural playground here at Sundance. We met Lucille (resident squirrel), saw the wild turkeys, mountain biked until we hurt, made pottery, and we are off to fly fish. We hope to come back some day soon. Paul & Kristin
